My name is Yoshikage Kira. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.

What's a good job for a 32 year old with an associate's degree in emergency medicine who's worked as a firefighter/paramedic for his whole life but wants to change careers? Kind of tired of health care but thought of RN for job options. Thought of the trades as good pay but pretty fair skinned so working outside everyday probably not the best. Also have pretty bad social anxiety so the more alone I can work with less supervision the better.

Hiring committees are stupid. I have a completely legit 2 year master program from a decent university in data science&machine learning. I had to give out my CV to 80 different companies before getting a decent offer. I did a professional certificate program from MIT in machine learning and AI which I was insanely overqualified to take(I already had a full master degree on the subject, that's why I was accepted) shelled out 15k, took 4 cheap courses(mit wise, they charge 2.5k$ for a 2-day course in ethics, are you kidding me?) that taught me the exact same things my masters did and now an extra line in my CV got me a job that pays 100k more. I know nothing more than I did before adding it. Hiring committees really love MIT though.

>Yea Forums a place where all posters make over six figures per year

Seen it in what setting? I find that odd because as a paramedic most doctors in the ER seem to treat us with mutual respect nowadays. It has come a long ways in the past 10 years though, wasn't always like that. I've also been told by male Dr I've expressed my interest to that male RN is a good choice because rather it's ethically right or wrong you will tend to be hired and promoted easier because it's a female dominated field and men take off less for sick kids, pregnancy leave, call in sick less in general, etc.

Yeah I've thought of trying to do lawns. Lots of my ex co-workers did. I already left FF recently after 10 years due to anxiety issues and will probably have a hard time finding work back in the field because of how interconnected it is, which also fucks with my anxiety even more cause I know we're I to go back to it, there'd already be preconceived notions about my performance.

Who the hell is paying you 18/hr as a basic stocker?

Problems with lawns are #1 I'm not really the greatest at it lol, 2 I'm pale & freckly so I'd have to load up on sunscreen every day, and 3 my fiance cousin who lives nearby just started a lawn business so I'd basically be taking a shit on him too by trying to compete for business

I'm the police sgt. The biggest problem with pub safety is you have to stick with it to get the prizes. Ie the pension or promotion. It takes forever. If you left than fuck it. Im stuck i can retire in 9 years. I've gotten a car wash business going with a friend of mine. Its the quarter do it yourself one. Why would doing concrete work fuck your lungs?

Yeah after 10 years of dealing with the bullshit of public service and the trauma and anxiety issues & shit sleep I've just decided to go elsewhere in life. I'll always have a love for the fun parts of the job but I just never felt like I fit in or it was the job for me after a few years into it and I just finally snapped at 10 years. Getting FD disability for 2 years for mental health issues while I figure out what else I wanna do. I just turned 32 a week ago so I had a long while before retirement.

I worked for a really busy dept. Made about 80k a year no OT but worked in a rich elderly community it was never any fires it was go pick grandma up off the floor every day 10 runs in a 24 hour shift on the ambulance 4-6 hours of sleep on a good night shit plus very low morale at my Dept. Union constantly in battle with the admin and they'd fuck us any way they could. Just wore on me. I didn't keep myself in shape and drank a lot in my time off probably didn't help but overall it just did me in.

Im at 16 years. We can leave at 25. Im going to do the Lt. Promotion test in a couple years and retire at that pension. Keep the car wash business as long as possible then just wrench on old cars until i die for fun. Never working again if I don't want to after im 48.

Yeah I've thought of PD in my own county it offers good pay and benefits and take home car. I live in a pretty redneck area though so everyone has guns and lot of out of their mind on meth & heroin druggies. Not as violent or anti-police as a nigger ridden city but still not sure how I'd feel about working scarcely patrolled in this county. We worked two man cars always. The ghetto part of the city is violent as fuck. Getting back to your question you could also look into traffic signal/video work or surveillance cam work. You sit at a desk monitor traffic cams type in updates and orders or watch them for casinos. We have a center like this that hires civilians to watch for both traffic and crime shit. Bosses leave them alone usually

THE WORST WAY TO MAKE MONEY IS TO TRADE YOUR TIME FOR DOLLARS

If you're required to put in the hours in order to get paid, then you're a little bitch - someone owns you and you're helping someone else get rich!

I don't care if you're making 400k/year.. if it's for someone else, then you're still a little bitch taking commands from another man.

The truth is that you can make so much money on your own. There is GREAT abundance out there!

The easiest way (which still takes time and energy of course) is to buy and sell shit. FUCKING BUY SHIT FOR LOW AND SELL IT FOR MORE LIKE WHAT THE FUCK IT'S SO FUCKING SIMPLE YOU FUCK

You can get to a point where you can make thousands a day buying and selling things.. and then have someone else take over the day to day and you step back getting your schedule free while getting passive income.

It's all very fucking basic and practical.

Take Rolex watches as an example: if you know what you're doing, you can buy one for $1,500 and sell it for $2,100.. or $5,000 and sell it for $6,500.. or $10,000 and sell for $13,000. Nothing crazy - I'm not talking about doubling your money on every sale. But the TURNOVER TIME for something like a Rolex watch will be less than a week if it's marked at market value!

But fuck.. you won't do it. I could literally hold your damn hand the whole time and you still wouldn't take action.

Because you don't believe in yourself. The world has convinced you that you're useless and will never amount to anything great. And you believe it.

fuck

I always thought this was one of the most underrated careers if you do everything yourself. You work on your own time and once you have stable regulars, you pretty much get to relax most of the time. Not bad income for the relaxed schedule

Yeah, originally in Texas, moved to San Francisco for the job search. Taxes are high here (33% for me), and rent is expensive (3600 for me), but I still have enough left over to be comfortable. My savings are growing by about 2k a month, which isn't bad, considering I regularly buy shit on Amazon, take an uber to work and back, get groceries delivered once a week, and also get food delivered 4-5 times a week. I never realized as a NEET how nice it is to have your own money, but it's REALLY nice.

Learn the basics of programming, I started with JavaScript because I had the additional motivation of writing my own scripts/browser extensions. JS is one of the most common languages, so there are a lot of free tutorials - freecodecamp and codewars are some good ones for learning the very basics. Be advised that you will hit a wall with the free tutorials pretty quickly, and you'll need to either attend university classes or a coding bootcamp.
I attended a bootcamp called Hack Reactor. They have a remote program that's all online and on webcam, so a socially-anxious, ugly NEET like me was able to get through it. It wasn't easy emotionally, but I did survive. Also, be prepared to not have much free time for the duration of the bootcamp.
The good bootcamps tend to be 3 months, so it's a little shorter than a semester, and it's totally worth it. I admit I got lucky in landing a 130k job within ~14 months of graduating (my second software job, I also had a short contract gig), so I can't guarantee you'll have the same salary on your first/second job. It helps to really grind, though, and make connections. I got my first contracting gig through a connection (knew someone who knew the co-founder of the company), my current job was a recruiter reaching out to me.
For juniors, there is only one way to stand out other than a good resume or knowing the right person, and that's by killing the software interview, so be sure to grind like hell.

To get to the passive income, these fools need to intern or study under someone, get a head start, save some money, etc. But I agree if you are saying for the long term, don't do it...

Oops, I meant in hungary.

Do you get much Jap pussy?

You are an inspiration. I'm pretty much floating on 800$ a month ssi Live in a crap neighborhood in Detroit and share this house with 3 other dudes. Might be time to grow up

You definitely want to get a nicer apartment to yourself if you're like me. Before I moved to SF, I was living in a house with my abusive, low-life brother and I fucking hated it.
I've also lived in a few bad neighborhoods and had to deal with shitty room mates before. A few years ago, my brother let one of his loser friends live in the house for a few months, and once a week I had to listen to him yell at his girlfriend from across the house. Listening to shit like that absolutely shatters your spirit.
It's one of those things were I would listen to him threatening to hit her, and would just stop whatever I'm doing, and go lay on the bed and just silently stare at the ceiling for 3 hours. It was pretty miserable.

I can say, after going through shit like that, nice neighborhoods are 110% worth the expensive rent and taxes. It is night and day, I haven't seen a homeless drug addict yell at the empty air since I moved in. I wouldn't go back to a shit neighborhood for a million fuckin' dollars, and now I kind of understand why rich people are so insistent on living in high-class Beverley hills neighborhoods with the perfectly manicured lawns, and why rich parents shell out money to get their spoiled kids nice apartments downtown when they go to college.

Just make sure your kids (when you have them, I assume?) get some kind of tangential exposure to that sort of degeneracy so that they can identify and avoid it. Not saying you need to shatter their innocence too early but make sure they're well-guarded and aware of that side of the world so they don't naively walk headfirst into it.
Keep on keeping on, user, it's nice to see some wholesomeposting here now and again.

a junior role at google pays what a startup will pay a senior. basically, if you work at a large company like amazon or google, expect your salary to be 20-30k higher by default. they can spare the money, and they use those higher salary to ensure they get the highest performers in every imaginable role. this is why google continues to be at the top - they continue to attract talent towards them and AWAY from any competitors. this is basic business.

Good luck getting people to trust you. I wouldn't want some green 23yo fukwit as my doctor, especially my pcp

The best advice I have for you is to just do it. Whatever project you have going, just finish it and release it. You'll probably be your own harshest critic. While that is necessary, you also have to let yourself be done too. Are you doing a game or an app or both.

Larpity larp.

i'm just getting into it, so right now I'm just playing around. I have a useless app right now that's just testing button triggers and notifications and stuff like that. i can't even decide what to do as an app, it seems like everything has already been done.

Yea there are thousands of unskilled labor jobs out there looking to pay people $50/hr with no training or education.

That's true. Totally true. Thing about the market is, nobody gives a shit. Think about it. How many successful exact clones of candy crush are there? How many flashlight apps? How many Bibles? Just make what you want, and release. The only way to truly fail is to never try.

this is the issue with remote work. if you have a team of hard workers, it's fucking fantastic. but if you don't, people's laziness will come out and nothing gets done. remote only works if you have a really fucking good team that's been carefully selected.

Go to a welding trade school, bust your ass, and get your cert. It's hard work. But if you don't fuck around and you spend a year burning rods down to your gloves, you'll have a skill that is in *insanely* high demand. Good news is that welding schools are pretty cheap, way cheap compared to college.

Full time retard
1400$ a month
400 of the $ goes to health insurance that doesn't cover anything which makes me mad the rest of the money goes to daily life needs like food paying a phone bill car insurance and the little bit I have left I give to my brother because he lets me live with him. I managed to put at least 200 of it away in the bank per month to which is slowly adding up if I ever what to get a new pc or it will get uesed if I get sick because pay $400 a month for health care that does nothing is a thing in the usa ..
Not a day doesn't go by where I wish I wasn't retarded and could actually be employed in a beneficial way for myself not to just work 40 hours a week not even to get by wich I did for 5 years till I got hirt

Should also add, obviously 1 year won't make you an expert. I've seen people who worked hard qualify GTAW 6G with that amount of time under the hood. Also seen fuckups who couldn't lay a bead to save their lives. All in the amount of work you put in, just like everything else.

I'm 20, and I designed (and patented) a more efficient power inverter for use with solar panels. I've licensed this technology to 15 solar panel manufacturers in the past 12 months, and I have applications from 18 -- no, wait a second, 19 -- more, which are currently in the approval pipeline. Since I introduced and started licensing it (in, I would say, approximately the past 18 months), I've made over $30 million. My projected earnings in the next 5 years are looking like they are going to be in the neighborhood of 8 to 10 times that. I am currently working on a design which will increase its efficiency by a factor of at least 3 (at least initially, with plans to further refine it), and will also have a smaller footprint.

Did I mention that I'm 20?

What are you talkinga bout? I'm not the poster your referencing but he's saying his total income for the year is 86 - 100k and that's depending on OT.

$38 per hour x 2020 hours a year = 76,760. Then he has OT. I don't understand which part you can't comprehend. Ironically, you da dumbass...

Lol, good points. I guess if he had 15 contracts at $2m a piece, I could buy he would be bringing in $30m...but I'm def confused. How much time and money did it take to build it out? Also, patenting is expensive as fuck, $25k on the low end.

In the south east, up to North carolina, anything under $30k a year (annually) is considered poverty.
Between $31k-40k is low middle class.
$41k-55k medium middle
$56k-65k middle class
$66k-75k high middle class.
$75k+ low upper to trump upper class.

This won't work for those in high cost of living areas like New York or California.

So many assumptions lmao

No. No. No

You can buy the watches on Ebay auctions and resell at a 'Buy it Now' (people pay more for an item at a set value compared to auctions. Not all the time but you can get good deals at auction to resell at a set price

You can make wayyyy more than 5k/month

You can do this as a side hustle

You can make 10k per watch if you have the funds and know what you're doing

You just don't know what you're talking about. You're making excuses as to why it can't be done
