As a Brit, Germany is very similar to the UK, except the authoritarian-loving gene is cranked up to 10 instead of, um, 2. That's pretty much the only difference. But how that manifests itself in society is suuuuuper weird. It crops up in all sorts of places you'd never expect.

you know that's not true. a lot of them don't openly identify as muslims, but are ethnic muslims nonetheless. 25% of "germans" have a migration background. I'd say a good half of it are turks and arabs. now this figure doesn't include immigrants, because they're not germans. so the actual number of arabs/turks is closer to 16-18%, maybe even 20%.

I lived there 5 years, compared to the US its:
1. Cramped, but that makes it cozy.
2. Literally in the middle of Europe. So extra cozy.
3. No car needed. U-bahn at every block.

Spent 3 years learning German. Show up to Berlin and couldn’t find any Germans to save my life. For every German I saw there was 50 dark Muslim looking fuckers. Had a great time when I found the 10 Germans left and went to a Biergarten by the river. Also I ended up in a place called kreutzberg by accident and wanted to set it all on fire.

you can google a list of little hamlets on the countryside, there are many. those are the places where you get the real feel for what germany used to be. or just pick 2 big cities, rent a car and go about visiting every small town along the way. the same goes for austria. although I prefer to spend time in austria at a ski resort

What part of Germany you from?

I didn’t want to end up in an area where it’s a tight knit community and not be completely fluent in German. I also noticed a heavy disdain for Americans when I attempted to go out to drink at night, which put me off. I wasn’t loud or anything and couldn’t get in anywhere the second they heard me speak something other than German to my friend. Wasn’t sure if that was Berlin or in general.

I chalked it up to leftism as well. Especially after Kreutzberg. I would like to visit the more regular areas and make friends to spend time with and the ladies. It was refreshing being somewhere where the women aren’t fat as hell on the regular, but I’m from Southern USA so it’s not that shocking.
