I came here first in 2010 and leanred about this stuff only through archived posts. The Snacks story is rather confusing and not well documented. At least when I searched for it. No idea about the cp stuff that got him ultimately banned.

that (cp stuff) wasn't why he disappeared though. Snacks was effectively sacked for not doing the coding tasks that he was originally appointed to do (or at least: he was not making adequate progress with them - if any at all). moot and Snacks had a blazing argument about it and moot removed his more important Admin privileges because of it. If I remember rightly, Snacks effectively resigned after that because he thought he was being treated unfairly; but the truth is that Snack was a total cunt of the highest order and moot should have got rid of him much earlier.
