I'm 31 and been through a lot, these are the top things I woulda told my younger self:

- Anytime you catch a fish from water, it is fresh. It means it's never late to do something. If there's something you've been meaning to do just jump in and do it. Don't wait for the right time.

- Save your money at least 20% of your income each month and put it aside as if you don't even own it. After a couple of years, you start investing it with at least 8% return. Real estate is one of the best vehicles for growing wealth.

- If you can avoid working for someone else, avoid it. Start your own business or work at startup or small business where you own equity in the company. Working for wages is the worst way of making a living.

- Never give up. At anything. As long as you are alive, there is a way to do what you want to do. If you are on /b chances are you've already given up on love, meaningful relationships, a satisfying life, wealth, well-being. Never give up on any of those things. Try until your last breath.
