Depends on if you get it brand new or scour most main parts second hand.

Main unit |Mod| would be cheapest just getting second hand and then just going for a new tank / atomizer.

I went with a dripper setup (rda, rebuildable dripping atomizer), so grab a cheap "velocity style" RDA off of aliexpress, buy 2 right away, so you can mess around building coils on one, while you have one on your vape permanently.

liquid:
Find an online vapeshop that deals "base" liquid (go full VG right away), and grab some 20ml bottles of "aroma" to flavor it up. Buying liquid in bulk and mixing it yourself is the cheapest way. You can always spend on "artisan" liquid later. Pick a fruity flavour, or go with something that you know you'll have no trouble vaping for months on end.

If you're unsure about anything, hit up Youtube. Grimmgreen, SuckMyMod, vapingwithtwisted420, riptrippers, etcetera..

alternatively, just walk into a vapeshop and strike up a conv. Vapeshop owners will know exactly what you need.

The ramp up time and coil heating is near instantaneous which provides a much smoother vape, much thicker clouds, and far greater flavor production. If course that's if you dont mind the overhead with maintenance (coil building, battery swapping, etc.) and the whole "might blow up" thing.
