Eh, they did do quite well in their era, but the animation quality was, to put it bluntly, utter crap. Honestly, all adult animation is either a knock off of this show, a knock off of South Park, or a knock off of Family Guy. As for some shows that are of a higher quality while still being animated, the old Tom and Jerry or Loony Toons actually did adult humor in a funny way. Just wish they didn’t edit them to fit modern sensibilities.

surely then, you must acknowledge, that there at one time was a first? The progression might be minimal, but really for the time, ATHF was pretty unique. yes, you have to acknowledge the space ghost origin, along side such early shows such as sealab and bridman, I think that they managed to carve out a solid niche. they may or may not have over stayed their welcome, but that's a debate about if later seasons ruin early seasons.
finding new ideas has been hard in this half of this worst decade on earth, but previous really capped off all the gains from the 90s alt gen-xer rebellion comedy. you cant sit ther and tell me that mike judge doesn't have a unique voice. rumor has he is even based and redpilled and black balled in holly wood.
