I've been drinking Knob Creek lately. 100 proof by Jim Beam's distillery. Pretty good sipper for 100 proof. It comes in flavors (yuck) and is found in liquor stores near the Jim Beam (which ain't bad).

I'm from Tennessee, so I'm obliged to mention Jack Daniel's. It's law when talking about whiskey here. It's #1 for a reason. American classic.

My personal favourites are Lagavulin 16 (islay so super smokey), tullamore dew, nikka 12 and hibiki. Always try your whiskies plain first, then with a single drop of water (to separate the oils, makes them even stronger which would be counterintuitive) and then in a chilled glass. Also just try and find your taste, theres no wrong way to drink whisky
