If I was gonna kill someone I know I would lure them out into the wild by going on a hike or boat ride. Then I would kill them in a way that would leave no marks like drowning, or in a way that couldn't be proven like a fall off a cliff.

What they wanna do is get you into a room and make you lie to them.
Obviously they would ask questions. I would stick to one word yes or no answers and the most probable version of events.
When they asked for more detail I would refuse citing emotional difficulty as I just saw someone I cared about die.
I would only talk with them shortly and would refuse to go to a police station.

you don't want to present a bland story of "we just went hiking" add little details to make it more believable. in your free time think of possible scenarios and then stick to those that you chose to include. that way its believable and you harder to be trapped in a lie. don't go too much into detail tho, that's just as dangerous as no detail.
