What are some of the most interesting hobby groups? interesting subcultures?

what are some of the most interesting hobby groups? interesting subcultures?
(not necessarily the most interesting hobby but the most interesting community of hobbyists)

jeex ami really just a faggot for asking this question? why is no one responding fuck you guys i just want my life to be better is that so bad sheeh

i am here to know as well

but joing a book club might help

you get to talk to people and it doesn't have to be personal stuff just talking about the book

Any form of martial arts. As long as it isn't some esoteric bullshit

I would say poker but I've lost a lot of money playing honestly. So I formed a collusion team. Now I take in 5k a month. As for hobbies, cruising the mall for teen girls is always rewarding.

Definitely browsing Yea Forums.
Those motherfuckers are interesting

Honestly that's why I'm still here, stalking the site waiting for shit to go down. Like a digital back alley.

has shit ever gone down?
ive been on this site for years and ive yet to witness this

People into model trains have always fascinated me.

you can try getting into video games, it's pretty normal - and, because of that, there are now a lot of normal fans that aren't weird creeps that are too absorbed into the subculture to the point where it becomes a large domain of their personality

it's kind of like how some trans people are fine, you don't even know they're trans and just say, "hmm..." when you find out, and nothing more. and then there are the rioting, screaming otherkin types.

the moral of the story here is, no matter which hobby, stay away from people that make that hobby the central feature of their personality. there are people that take gaming too seriously, and therefore spend all of their time arguing for or against gamergate. the only way to win at these games is not play.

>waiting for shit to go down
That part of Yea Forums has moved on and is long long gone. That place exists elsewhere but all that's left /here/ is what should have been left behind.

gone are those days ladeen.
now it's just 98% porn

back in the day it was like 30% porn, 50% first time posters, 15% cool shit, and 5% really cool shit. Occasionally real interesting hivemind shit would happen like Quiptext day and the Fappening, etc.

actually early adopters and obsessed enthusiasts are precisely what im looking for. I find these people are the most interesting because there is usually a unifying ethos and philosophy among the creeps.
also from a business perspective its usually in these groups where emerging economies and innovations occur not from R&D as most academics might suspect

>all that's left /here/ is what should have been left behind
i feel homeless

>you don't even know they're trans

yeah, not possible

We were.
