Yeah
The Zelda game alone is worth it
+The Mario party games
+Sports games
nintendo switch and nintendo switch lite are both total garbage piece of shit hardwares you should be saving your money for a PS5 + PSVR2 or an Oculus 2 or the Steam Valve VR kit.
But no, your brain washed children wanna play mario wahh
BOTW was drastically overrated, but still decent.
Yeah. I have it & it's good. Zelda is good, Skyrim is good, Minecraft & Mario games are good too. And Witcher is coming to Switch. + Minecraft Dungeons. It's a good console.
which would be best vr to buy?
just get a good pc, xbox ps4 etc cant compete
Yes, it’s worth the $300. BoTW, octopath, gears, etc etc etc.
People are gonna try to be elitists and say no, but yeah Switch is great even if only for Mario Odyssey and BOTW, but Nintendo has been pumping extra love and attention into all their released the last few years, they also are the only big gaming company still making original games. No redundant shooting games to be found here.
but you have to update like every year whereas a console is good for 6 years or so at least
You don't own a switch I take it?
BOTW was good, but not OOT good.
Super Mario Party is NOT a Mario Party game, it's the worst game to have "Mario party" appended to it ever made.
And sports games? Sports games? What are you a fucking nigger?
I would wait for the vavle index
PC? Oh come on nerd! PCs are so 2002...
Yes I like it, the Zelda game is nice as fuck really great launch title and since I have a lot of free time when I have to travel and shit and I'm on the go, it's really nice to use on the train and such. The only problem is that the games are way to fucking expensive, seriously games are still 60$ even though it's been out since the Holocaust, but right now GameStop has a little deal where you can get some games for discount if you buy the console that's what my friend is doing. Also maintenance, you gotta value that mother fucker like it's your kid to make sure it's still in good condition such as no scratches and shit. Overall nice console and great to bring with friends if you're hanging out but if you're talking about just playing games in general and want a good experience, just stick to PC or PS4.
>Updating your PC every year
Fucking wot mate?
I built my PC in 2011 and still game on it to this day. You're a fucking retard if you think that a console's hardware holds up better than a PC's. A PC built is already several times more powerful than any current gen console is, the hardware outlasts it performance wise.
This is truth. Not to mention that the platform itself allows for an exceptional amount of really interesting cheap (read: $20 and under) indie titles that you can only find via browsing, which in and of itself is fun.
It's great, personally I think. I've spent 100+ hrs just exploring and enjoying the game. Don't think I can remember a game I had enjoyed with that much time and exploring outside of snes games
Right now? Valve's VR Kit. $999.99
But if you wait a few years they're gonna have so much technological advancements for VR it's gonna make todays shit look like a baby's toy
like 8K resolution per eye
Completely wireless too... any VR headset with wires is shit
yeah tho i had a friend who used to play xbox and he had to pay monthly for shit like multiplayer acces n other stuff
ur right,get an atari console
Definitely had its moments but the hype about it being GOAT was seriously misguided. Lots of opportunities for fun and antics, though those shrines got super repetitious after a while.
How's 3rd grade?
PC is more powerful, powerful, powerful. Who cares about power? It's about comfort & gameplay + PCs are for beta males. LOL
100%
I haven’t bought a video game console since the Xbox 360 and switch is my fav system since the 90s. Would highly recommend
The draw distance for 8k res in VR would be fucking horrendous. The tech specs to run something like that within the next 5-10 years would be incredibly costly.
I have PS4, PS4 Pro, Switch.. I had Wii, WiiU, 3DS, 3DSXL... Switch is a good console. Buy it.
I built in 09 or 10 and can still play most games. Obv not in high texture settings but it works
Thinking about building again but business has been slow
talking about comfort & gameplay pc offers much more than any other console for example decent controlls
Your reading comprehension is shit.
yea but they sure are putting a lot of money into VR
like those VR glove controllers that are out right now to use instead of VR controllers
They're getting upgraded to have air pockets inside that change so it feels like you're touching the things inside VR on your palms
I'm never buying that shit though, imagine paying $1000 to "fake feel" shit in VR by being tricked by gloves
>Having narrow enough shoulders that controller gaming is comfortable
You one of those traps that always makes the threads or what?
Yeah, but you need to sit like an office guy with a mouse in a cubicle. PCs are for work, Consoles are for gaming.
Who cares, I am a bitcoin millionaire.
I don't think it's necessarily worth it, but I don't regret buying it.
well, it depends on how money do you have. It's cheap.
Could experience some cool shit depending how far the tech goes. See How it is in 10 years.
Played Rush of Blood in VR at a friends place and that was pretty good. Horror definitely has a future in VR.
VR is stupid. Dizzy as fuck.
oh yeah rush of blood was fun. it also limits eerie music and plays playful carnival music so i don't get nausea or headaches either. (i get naseau when I hear eerie music in VR)
I think it's the refresh rate or resolution of VRs. For me any sort of RPG VR game like Exorcist VR will give me a headache and motion sickness. But action games like Wipeout Omega, Creed: Rise to Glory, etc. don't give me any sickness.
But I bet it's mostly cause the technology is still new.
No. Buy a new video card instead.
I believe the pertinent question is: PS5 when?
Built my 'puter in 2013. Haven't upgraded anything since. Still no reason to upgrade. Maybe GPU. but honestly it still works just fine.
Look this faggot plays VR lol
Yeah, nerd. Buy a video card, MS Excel, Antivirus. And suck on Steve Ballmer's cock!
Mario Odyssey felt very average to me. I bought BoTW, but haven't gotten too far into it although it has mechanics I find kind of neat (I've put it on hold because I've recently been wanting to replay my other games). I agree that the Switch is a nice console, and the only small problems I have with it is the controller charging times, and slight awkwardness of their size, and shape.
BoTW is acctually my first Zelda game ever.
>doesn't know the fun of beating up women in VR
VR sickness is about getting used to it from what I understand. Your best bet to get used to it is games where you are in a car or vehicle or something. Helps your body.
Buy a PC, because you can run windows on it!!!!
I know silicon valley is a fake comedy t.v. show but in there they were talking about refresh rates of the screens affecting motion sickness and I think there's some truth to that
If the specs suck, it's gonna fuck your eyes no matter how much you try to get used to it.
windowscentral.com
>Framerate can also be a catalyst for motion sickness, but only if it's too low. The Vive and Rift have both set 90FPS as a benchmark for their headsets — this is so frames-per-second (FPS) can match the refresh rate of 90Hz. If FPS dips too low, say down to the 30-60FPS range, there's going to be a lot of jumping and stuttering that can make you sick.
There's a reason why PSVR causes so much more motion sickness than Oculus or HTC vive
I gave VR many chances. I have PSVR, Oculus GO & HTC Vive. All of them is stupid. Dizzy. I don't use it.
that sucks, beating up women in VR is really fun
Oooh yes I love my Nintendo switch!!! I can play lots of gaems like zelda and Mario! My wife got me it for my 31st birthday after my vasectomy! I'm only allowed to play for an hour a day with the volume on low( :( such a meanie) or to keep me entertained when her boyfriend comes round
Yeah frame rate issues definitely wouldn't help at all
Nice try. I bet you play on your gaming PC in your mom's room cuck!
Your wife has a boyfriend? This seems legit
Sure, kek
Get a used Sony Vita, jailbreak it, and run shit loads of games on it.
Switch is cool, but I'm done buying games.
Give them to me then nigger
Come to Czech Republic :)
kekkk
I think it is, i love my switch!
gameboy on hypersteroids. It's worth it. Bunch of good indie games, I won't talk about Mario Odissey and BOTW because everybody agrees those titles alone are worth the try.
But I don't see it as the only console to have. Unless you run a PC the switch is a great companion.
Also, I'm hopping the nintendo subscription will come with at least N64 games in a ftuture.
Bullshit, no one they're could afford all three.
what? :D
What? VR sickness is totally party grandest, and part resolution.
Next gen will drastically cut down on motion sickness.
I hate auto correct
newfag
>Yea Forums has a better vidya discussion than Yea Forums
Yeah, is a great console despite of shitty joycons, had to repair them for drifting issues, but still you can play games in wc
PC requires semi regular upgrades to stay on top. Consoles are good for 5 years or more.
Not to mention all the best exclusives are on PlayStation
Well it is true, And NS is for Marios.
This nigga is right
The Mario Party on the Switch is horribly meh. Very few boards, gets boring very fast.
BotW was good, but unless you autistically play games for hundreds and hundreds of hours before moving on, it's not worth it to get a Switch specifically for that game.
That said, there are some fantastic games on Switch now.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses, BotW (2nd one releasing soon™), Pokémon SnS (should still be a decent Pokémon game if you're into that, but probably worse than old ones).
Super Mario Odyssey is decent. Dunno about Mario Maker 2.
Pokémon Let's Go! is a cute nostalgia trip, but don't treat it as much more than that.
Splatoon 2 is pretty neat, but obviously there are better competitive games out there.
There's an Animal Crossing coming out on Switch soon™.
Oh, shouldn't forget about Smash Ultimate.
In other words, if you like typical Nintendo games, it's worth it. It's not worth it to make it your go-to console in my opinion. I have PC/PS4/Switch and that covers all bases.
Yea Forums is just dollar store Yea Forums.
Its basically a droid with a video card, but still pretty fun
I've had my PC for 3~5 years now. I can't remember exactly. It was solidly above-average in terms of gaming rigs when I got it, certainly not top-of-the-line. It's still solid to this day, no hardware updates required.
Yes you faggot. Get one.
fucking nintendo. been selling the same shit in a different wrapper for 40years and you morons still keep giving them money.
>Nintendo died with GBA
Bad thing about NS is the games are more expensive than other platforms.
That's dependent on retailer. In general, you can get them for similar prices.
What did it cost?
if you like puzzle games it has breath of the wild which is insanely good, and if you like platformers oydessy and mario maker are great. also smash bros is there, and those are always great. sure you have to pay more for online features, but that comes with free virtual nes games and also tetris.
Spent about £1,000 on it, which I believe would have been about $1,300~ at the exchange rate a few years ago iirc.
About 40% of that was for the GPU alone.
Iirc if you get 12 months Switch Online it's around 30~50% of the price of PS4/XBone online.
it's like 7 dollars for three months. i was able to pay for it with free nentendo shop coins i got form redeeming games i bought.
