are you saying the brain is capable of automatically picking up concepts out of thin air? are they always related to past experiences or what? i dont understand how this works

i understand that symbols can have meaning attached to them but how can i tell if something is vague yet still picked up by the subconscious as something well defined

that's not always true, for example i didn't know of the sunmoon and related archetypes until someone explained them to me, yet i still had recognized them before. i mean is there any way to tell when this is happening without someone having to explain me that it's happening

that's different than what i'm talking about though. you're talking about a conscious understanding of these things, and i'm just saying that even if you don't consciously understand them you'll still recognize them. basically if you can consciously recognize anything then it's related to some kind of subconscious archetype. humans are just making up stories about reality constantly. it's like a triangle isn't really a triangle that's just what we called that particular shape, y'know.

i'm not talking about a conscious understanding (or explanation). i'm talking about recognizing when something is an archetype, or in other words consciously being aware that it's an archetype (even if not understanding it). there are many archetypes i did not know existed until they were explained to me.

That requires you being consciously aware of what specific archetypes are, which requires learning. All i'm saying is that your conscious mind recognizes these things anyway and reacts to them. I'm not really sure how to help you out with this much more.
