Your grandpa is a faggot.
He clearly was a nazi, soviet, and isis international terrorist working for the jews. jesus christ do you listen in history class.
Ha, I was hoping for some insight I guess Yea Forums was not the place to ask.
nigga, unless it is the absolute worst and degenerate porn imaginable, Yea Forums is not the place.
Noted
Weird combo, nazi badge, scouting badge, chapel guard, sergeant-technician rank, transportation corps
Interesting how do you think they were obtained? (Op here)
are all of them from him? was he a vet?
I never met him he died before I was born my grandmother gave them to me about a week ago with no context just said she really wanted me to have them
think it's an assembled set
>1st Cavalry reconnaisance troop (mechanized), 1st infantry division "premonite"
>scouting badge with the fleur de lys
>nazi hitleryouth 1937 festival badge
>technician fourth grade T/4 rank
>chapel guard
>3 things indicating US Army transportation corps
Hey thanks a lot can you clarify what each of theese did? Thank you so much
Do you know what year these would be from also? Just wondering
Scouting could be pre or post war or unrelated
lots of information on the 1st inf div, good indicator with the 1st recon narrows the unit down alot you might even find your grandpa's name snooping around the internet with that info
He might've been switched to the transformation corps at one point or another or vice versa to the 1st recon
The HJ badge might be a spoil of war taken as a war throphy. Together with the units and their roster and timeline (wiki) this narrows it down to the ETO
T/4 indicates his rank ofc
Not a single clue on the chapel guard tho
Got any wartime photo's or anything? You got alot to go work with just with this basic info
There's no way that user can tell you much just based on the pictures, you're in a much better position to find out since you can ask your family about your grandfather's life story.
We can speculate that based on these that he was a boy scout before the war, served in the US Army Transportation Corps and was stationed in Germany where he snagged the Hitler Youth badge as a bit of memorabilia and then later in life was active in a religious congregation (the "Chapel Guide" badge looks like 1950's or 60's era plastic at a glance) - but that's just a guess, we have no way to confirm any of it.
Exactly
Only you can go figure this out user, actually go talk to your grandma for god's sake
Your grandfather ordered a badge lot off Ebay.
My grandfather died before eBay was created actually.
ding ding ding
Thanks a lot you guys gave me some very valuable information. Grandma lives a few hours away definitely making a plan to go visit her and find out.
Next time ask these questions on the /his/ or /k/ boards otherwise your thread might be drowned with faggotry and traps next time, good thing I was around this time
