Well what do you faggots think?
Well what do you faggots think?
I like it. It's got bits from all their past albums but still feels new. Idk if it was worth a 13 year wait but still hood overall.
First listening through was a bit disappointing. Which is not unusual for a tool album. But I have a bad feeling at this one.
Good album buy it
7/10 alum
Not a big fan, at the end i was waiting for it to end. I thought invincible en 7empest were alright.
5/7
its literally sick bro
Huge disappointment. What an ignominious end to once god-tier band. It's crap. Not buying it. RIP.
it sounds like Tool
invincible was pretty freaking great
Pneuma is the best song that has been released in the entirety of music in the last 18 years.
Which is not a bad thing.
Most overrated band of faggots of all time, Maynard is such a fucking cringey turd hes a pretentious fuckhead and needs to fuck off forever with joe rogan so they can just rub their dicks together in a cave in the middle of nowhere for the rest of time
Great album going to the 1st concert of the tour
I'm not crazy about them. But they are original and have complicated music while still being melodic and listenable to average people. That's hard to do.
Definitely not the "most overrated ever" there is much, much worse music out there.
melodies too diatonic and boring for me. the rhythms have some complexity and nuance but in the end don't redeem it. maynard has the presence of an annoying soylet. 5/10 band
just reminds me that im old.
I find it too mellow, just like the other albums.
never got big into tool, they're aight. this album just sounds like more tool.
Fuckin' A, you seem to have a great sense of taste in music, don't you?!?
Shiiiiit, look at all of the musical artists and bands that have been coming out since their last album! We need them back! Shit is becoming repetitive as fuck and I can't stand it anymore!
These guys are shaking things up a bit!
It grew on me. Hard to get into but once you do it's fucking badass. Also don't listen to Inoculant interlude while high... It vibrated my car speakers and felt fucking scary as fhck
It's hyped. But it's an awesome album thb. Pneuma, Descending, 7empest - great tracks. I have the limited edition CD and I'll buy a vinyl.
From what I understand its not exactly their fault for it taking so long.
The first songs I've heard on Youtube I didn't like very much.
But yesterday as Pneuma was on Youtube, I bought the CD. A long time ago I listened to a song as load as on Pneuma, it's a killer song when you get into it.
i liked the banger tool songs.
after the first two songs i had thought i was already 4 songs in, but i was only in the middle of song 2.
holy shit its so fucking boring.
is every song this boring?
like all tool, it's shit
it's rock fags equivalent to dub step
First listen: meh, it's pretty underwhelming.
Second listen: growing on me a little but still not great.
Third listen: actually this is pretty good, couple of tracks more than others.
Forth listen: holy shit this is awesome.
It's a grower. Let it grow on you and you won't be disappointed.
Frankly, I was a little disappoint.
Seems like a rehashing of all the older material. Otherwise, it's Tool/10
They didn't make much progress to be honest with you. Burned out. After 10 years of listening I ended up liking Aenima the most, but it is always changing. Hope this album will grow on me. I wish I didn't listen to them that much lol .
you are right actually, but you have to give them some credit bro. That's the point of their band.
i'd prefer more apc
pneuma and 7empest are the only good songs.
fight me.
Checked and agreed
>It's crap. Not buying it.
i think they realize this. which is why it's on youtube for free.
Who cares how complex it is.. does it sound good?
Fucking music elitist.
San Jose can eat my dick and balls.
Dude, if you want to listen to fusion, go listen to fusion, Tool is Tool
I’ve never really got into them but this thread got me curious and i don’t see why they would need a bunch of chromaticism unless you want to hear them in passage where there’s fast flurry of 16th or triplet notes
Anyways, you sound fucking pretentious
7empest is literally the only banger and then they make it 12 minutes long for no reason. There better be a new album next fucking year
Chocolate chip trip is dope too
Not a stool fan..
Could've been a great album, but most of the songs are too dragged out for no apparent reason. If the breakdowns and instrumental bridges would be shorter, it the album would be fantastic. It's still good, but not fantastic.
2/5
i think they took so long that I dont care anymore
So bland. A ton of it is recycled riffs from past albums and much of the new stuff just falls flat. Incredibly disappointing.
I haven't had time to really sit down properly and listen to it but 10,000 days was this way for me too, I have a feeling same will apply here
pneuma is great, classic sounding tool but still great
Tool peaked with Lateralus
It's their best album.
Same
Cringey fanboy detected
I just listened to it on YouTube. Got bored after 2 minutes of it.
sucked ass
just listen to lateralus
>that sharks Jersey tho
I'm kinda in love
their next album wont come out until 2034
It's okay
Well in fairness I did really like opiate and undertow but just not into their shit now maybe cause I am an old faggot
Haha I love people like you
Maynard is putting on a personality because that personality sells
I'm sure some of it is really him, but some of it is just him doing what is expected of Maynard
I'm grateful for him, especially with the state of music recently. I wish Eilish would OD
Pneuma 7empist and invincible are my tops off the album.
Tool is lightyears from Billie Eilish. But most people aren't smart enough for Tool.
Good enough to keep the smack flowing.
Oh fuck you. So many shitheels fall back on the you don't get it thing.
Suck it.
This for sure
what's the matter, princess? Don't like it when ppl like genuinely good things?
Solid 8-Light 9.
It's just recycled, repurposed, remixed and remastered sounds they've "had sitting in the back" since fucking Undertow, so yeah it's just more Tool, definitely worth a listen, Pneuma and 7empest slap to hell and back along with Invincible and Descending and honest to god instrumentally their best material yet.
It's Tool. Nothing more, nothing less. It sounds mostly like a repeat of what they've done before, no surprises.
Honestly, if they sounded anything other than like Tool people would be losing their shit. No one wants them to suddenly sound like Radiohead or something.
No.
I'm pretty sure that cock sucker really is that pretentious all the time.
With all the stories I've heard and the interviews I've seen, 100% sure that's how he normally is.
The rest of them seem very down to earth though.
Especially Danny Carey.
I wish they would just do an instrumental album and let Maynard make his whine.
He can't sing like he used to anyway.
Don't believe the hype
