Anyone else work for Amazon? Experiences?

I worked at LGB3 in eastvale CA. Meet a heroin chick while I wZ there

I'm at SAV3 in Georgia.

So far lots of black people who you can tell don't wanna work... but $15 an hour and benefits attracted literally everyone.

I was surprised at how diversed it was, especially for a mindless labor job in California, I was expecting Mexicans, but I guess $15 is alot to most people

For here it is.. Most jobs start you out at aorund $8.00-10.00

I worked at SMF5 and they gave shit for hours. I was getting 3 hours a day, we all were, I just could not make it on so few hours.

>Living in shitafornia
>15.50/hr is alot

No.

Were you part time or full time? I'm hired on at full time.

Well it is surprising that Fucking Georgia and SoCal starts at $15. Like $15 in Georgia is fucking middle class while $15 in SoCal is spic poverty

I don't live in CA. I live in Georgia. Minimum wage here is shit, so $15 is alot.

Are you a blue card Employee?

Part time but I've had part time jobs that gave 32 hours a week.

Regular hire, I was there on opening day.

Fuck that place
Nothing but hoodrat ass faggots and libtards wotk there

By blue card, you mean a regular, not temporary hire. I believe I had a blue card.

i use empty visa gift cards to get free 30 day trials every month

Attached: P9zcoKC_d.jpg (640x338, 21K)

Yes.. They told us permanent full time is what the blue card is.

I would sometimes be told to go home after an hour of sorting.

Yeah. Those guys treated the temps like shit and tried to hit on the girls too
Pretty fucking funny

15.50 is an insult for what Amazon high ups make. Not degrading you /bro but fuck that.

Guess you're not a blue card Employee then

How much do warehouse managers make?

No, other blue cards were sent home too. That is why I quit they fucked with my paycheck too much.

DLA8 checking in

Almost worked there. Went through 5 interviews including being flown out to Georgia for the final round for a transportation manager position. Paid 115k/yr in GA. Missed out on the job though. Work as a transportation manager in a wholesale cannabis distribution company now though - same money, way more chill.

When I was younger I worked in retail and the receiving clerk made around 20. I was 5th person at a store doing 42 mil a year making 16. That was 10 years ago

I work at BFI4 in Washington. It's not hard work, but it is boring as fuck.

I work in Inbound as an unloader. The warehouse just opened up, so I am guessing once it's fully stocked and out of their "peak season" I'm sure VTO or whatever will be often.

I was gonna work there till I got a better job.

>is why I quit they fucked with my paycheck too much.

They must have hated you. The manager hated me cause I dated the heroin chick

I hated VTO too tempting to go home plus they push that shit when things are slow.

They didn't even know my name, lol.

I work for AWS, great pay, great stocks and great company culture. My experience is very different than the FC employees.

I've liked it so far.

Regular and they didn't know your name? WTF did you do?

What do you do?

WATER SPIDER, INBOUND, SCANNING, STAGING, ETC.

Rather not get specific but I moved up from a tier 1 AA to management

15.50 should be minimum wage. I dont understand how people live on any less. When I was younger I made 16 and barely got by on full time

College grad?

Nope, but I'm thinking of going back to school in the next year or 2.

Really? I thought Amazon only hired college grads for management positions

I've got a bachelor's in psychology and applied for an HR position but there were several candidates competing for the position. A literal homosexual got the job, fucking faggot won.

College grads usually can come in as a tier5 AM, whereas a internally promoted AM will be tier4.

AMZL doesn't require a degree for most lower level management positions. L4/5 will require a degree or 2+ years Amazon experience. From an L4 you can move to a 5 fairly easily or even 6 just from results and reputation.

I know at delivery stations most college grads come in as a L4.

>AMZL doesn't require a degree for most lower level management positions.

Is being a area manager considered low level management?

I would say L4 is low level, L6+ is high and L5s are somewhere in between. I know quite a few L5s that don't have degrees, once you're an L4 making it to a 5 is fairly easy after 1 year as a 4. With that being said I can't remember running into any L5s that were hired as such from external applicants without a degree.

Oak4 here

Exactly

Mexicans live 20 to a studio so it's fine

Jesus...
>Getting out of bed
>$15 an hour
Do you ever regret being a piece of shit nigger?

Military backgrounds and master degrees I think? I was wrong mentioning that most of them came out of university into it, but I've had a manager with a military background step right into a L5 position.

60k low end.

Jesus christ dude. And you wanted to work in HR? I'm no PC fucktard, but I'm pretty sure that's what HR is basically supposed to be (for limiting liability). I think I know why you didn't get the job. Like, you MUST be trolling. Please... tell me you're trolling.

Wow. 1st real jewpon-esque idea I've seen here in a long time. And it works. Thanks user!

Hazelton pa 14.00 hr hated it lasted 4 months .niggers and spicks everywhere they don't want you their long.

Military backgrounds do help out a lot but even of the ex mil L5s I've seen most have had a degree.

I am the owner and my name jeff

Real original asshole.

I fucking love it. Be jelly, wageslave.

yep, i just started working there. it's a great job.

Do u really have to piss in water bottles because there's not enough time allocated for restroom?

I thought people who forklift were supposed to make 40-50k+?

I worked at Amazon. I came in your mail. I don’t give a fuck.

absolutely not. complete bullshit. they have a bathroom near the main station i work at and you can go whenever you want just as long as you have to actually go

He's so full of shit his post background color is brown.... The temp order selectors are the ones who piss in a bottle... When your an order selector you a machine to Amazon.... Work til you die or get fired... Usually get fired first....

Worked in retail as a CSA, I just quit by the amount of retards calling in with stupid requests, here is one.

>Guy calls because he has a $5 payment in his bank account
>Last purchase reported on this guy account is from fucking 2015 for a total of $20
>Check for prime status and suscriptions, all clear
>Guy assures he only has one account
>"I'm sorry but I can't do anything in this case, have you called your bank?"
>Guy demands to be transferred to his bank
>Confusedface.jpg
>"Sorry sir, we can't do that but I can give you the bank's number"
>Guy gets mad and starts yelling
>Guy is losing his mind while I'm on mute triying not to laugh
>"You know what? Give me your full name, I'm going to sue you and I'm going to sue amazon for taking my money!"
>Guy is trying not to have a heart attack while on the phone.
>"Thank you for calling amazon customer service, have a great day!"

I have several other nightmare calls to share.

How do they know if u actually have to go?

The workers need to unionize

forklift itself is not a option on long run.
Look for a way to get more skills have already seen a full automatic one and that in not a close up field of work. So in big firms they will reduce the workforce there over the years.

Any non-'merican fag here?

First of all, sorry for bad engrish

I'm not from the U.S, but I want to buy some shit on the amazon.com site (not the local one).

If I paid with a debit card, should I have dollars on my account or the site/bank will make the conversion (from the local currency) at the moment of the purchase?

Thanks for your help and have a nice day/night.

normal they do it but they can get an extra for exchange of currency look it up or call the hotline from your bank/credit institute.

flex your pee muscles and if you feel like you will piss your pants if you open the floodgates then thats when you go. they'll never know though. one time i had the same exact thought because i heard you have to piss in bottles, so i asked to go to the bathroom and she said "yeaaah i gueess" in a sarcastic tone. i went 5 times in one day

I've heard this rumor, too. The restroom and breakrooms are spaced far away from my work area, but it only takes 3-4 minutes to walk from my area to the main breakroom. Restroom is close as well.

I don't know if the pickers have that issue. I was told it was mostly the pickers having those issues, but in my FC they are on equipment and can drive to the nearest restroom. I plan on changing shifts / departments because I hate inbound and I HATE nightshift.

I meant to say the breakroom is far away, and there is a restroom close.

i think outbound is worse. all i hear is bad things about it. in inbound, as a supporter, literally all you do is wrap palettes in plastic. it's easy fucking shit for 16.15 an hour. sometimes they throw you in different places but the worst is the end where they have you stickering the boxes and placing them on the belt. fuck that shit. but i want to switch to day shift eventually because this night shift just fucks everything up.

Delivered from DPD1 Portland. I had to wait quite a bit because none of the faggot amazon employees were always took forever to load my bags, had to wait upwards on 30 minutes for the idiots to have all my racks complete.

I started working as a part timer in February but the hours are chaotic and I never knew when I was gonna work. I'm a dude that likes to work 40-50 hours but I considered myself lucky if I even got 20. I just got a new job this week and I quit Amazon. Honestly my experience wasn't that bad. I was making rate by my third or fourth day. It's not hard if you aren't an idiot and you're staying on task. Fuck Jeff Bezos and fuck Amazon for the way they abuse workers but my experience wasn't that bad. It was just a gig to me until I landed my new job.

They claim outbound is "Where it's at" in my FC.

I wanna be in picking coz you're never on the ground, theres always plenty of work, I love being in the air (People won't bother me) and I've done it in other warehouses.

well the day certainly goes faster because you're always constantly doing something, but i don't mind being in my head all day getting some exercise. i lost a lot of weight so far. i do plan to sign up for training in every single area so i'll eventually know how to do everything. i think i got it good because i just like all the people i came in with, and we are all inbound. one day they got sent to outbound and hated it.

I applied to be a "warehouse associate". Doesn't really say what it is I'd be doing, just the physical aspects of it. Got my hiring event on the 5th.

good job. they are going to do a drug test (mouth), and after a few more days they will email you. If you pass the drug test, you pretty much have the job. don't fuck it up, this job will take you places.

You'll know exactly what you're doing at your orientation.

Sorry, New Hire event will tell you what position you'll be doing.

Will they work around my college schedule? All the options they had had some sort of conflict. It'd be great if I could change the Monday to a Saturday or Sunday.

people leave that place to focus on college. they will bombard you with mandatory overtime in November all the way to Christmas.

That's not much of a problem. I've worked at Walmart for years where this was the case.

Diversity, user. Diversity.

Fuck off, Bernie shill.

Well, you can thank hardcore capitalists for that. I'm sure Bezos deserves the billions he makes, but practically speaking, nobody needs that much money. The peanuts large corporations pay their employees is subsidized on the backs of everybody else through social assistance for those folks.

It's difficult to unionize for low-skill jobs, though. That's the problem. It is so easy to find replacement workers that everybody can quit and they'll find replacements within a week.
