Thinking about buying one of these for home defense. What does Yea Forums think? Some concealed carry and all open carry is legal here so might be using it as a daily. I've only owned revolvers though and I have almost no experience with semi auto pistols. Would I be making a mistake with the sig?

It's the p365 9mm

too tiny for my tastes. stick with a revolver for home defense.

Sig is good, cant go wrong with a glock though

The sig p365 is great for concealed carry but for a home defense handgun go with a full size double stack handgun with a light on it. Think Glock 17 with a light on the rail

Glock 21 .45 for home defense hands Down ! For CC i have an XDm Sub compact in 9mm

...

It depends who you expect to be shooting, a cartel guy coming to collect his debts, or a bunch of niggers....based on the bunch of niggers I would choose a pump action shotgun..

I love the glock but I just saw this and now idk what to think. Do you own one? Have you experienced this?

I'm asking Yea Forums. Relax it's only taking up the space of one porn thread.

The Sig 365 was known to misfire or jam. There's tons of videos on YouTube where this happens. If you want a handgun for home defense in 9mm I'd go with a Glock 17 or 19.

This literally no longer is an issue.

dont be a limp dicked wrist you twat

Gay, get an Ruger LCP or Kel-Tec 32acp pocket pistol instead like a real American.
Kidding, get whatever the fuck you want and don't let a bunch of faggots on the internet dictate you.

I just bought a Ruger LC9 and absolutely love it for concealed carry. I can conceal it wearing only shorts and a tank top.

Based wheelgun boomer

Also if you’re going Glock (which I would) go 17, 19 is dogshit

also

I have a p320 xcarry and I like it. It also had a modular design so you can change the configuration.

Get a gas can and a butane lighter. When someone invaded your amazing house, douse your kids and set them on fire. Save yourself a couple of bucks that way.

Any gun is better than nogun. Even a damn $99 High Point will save your ass in a pinch.

Holding a firearm with a limp wrist is a great way to make it jam. Glocks don't jam like that unless you purposely hold them like a retard.

19 is fine. Just for smaller hands.
Also, I agree

That was bait, dipshit

>for home defense.
A nigger isn't going to break into your apartment and rape your non-existent gf OP lol

Guns are stupid.

Honestly I'd rather have more /k/ and /k/ politicians discussed here as apposed to the endless trap threads, tribute cum threads, waifu generals, and other such cancer.
Not that those shouldn't be allowed but it would make Yea Forums more diverse with actually random content for a while at least.

Hell why we just turn Yea Forums into an outer heaven /k/olony? Seems like it would solve a lot of problems.

STFU libtard

This made me laugh

if you want a pocket gun that's cheap the LCP (.380 @6+1) is small and the one with the laser, lcp2, is spiffy. i edc the LCP as my back up. costs like 170-250

sccy makes decent cheap guns as well.

sig is really good but a bit expensive.
i have a great sig rifle i love and I've shit a few concealable sig pistols.

glocks are nice because there is a lot you can do with one, check out microron, i want one but i cant find one for the glock 20. anyway glock has a bad rep because they use to make garbage but even i changed my mind about them. it's a decent gun.
the glock23 is really cool because it comes in .40 s&w but you can slap a 9mm or a 357sig barrel in it so thats like 3 pistols which might be ideal in ,idk, a go bag.

kimbers are nice. good looking well built.
the slim frame cc kimbers are something I'd like to hear more about.

not a fan of Taurus because there was an issue with plastic firing pin assembly but you can after market and fix that fairly easily and the guns are reasonably affordable.

smith and Wesson can go fuck themselves.

things to take into consideration is if you sweat while you conceal carry your sweat can damage the gun. seriously. it's not as bad with really high quality materials but you would be surprised how fast something will start to rust.

I actually didn't realize this. I'm gonna go experiment and see if this effects all of them. I'm assuming semi auto rifles/shotguns misfire if they aren't held correctly then to?

>SIG
Buy an HK USP .45 like a real man.

A weapon is designed to fire under certain conditions. They do, like math ‘n shit, to calculate recoil and determine necessary spring pressure. These aren’t conditions it’s designed to fire under. I’ve ran several hundred rounds through my G19 and had one failure to eject. A rack of the slide is all that was required.

Any semi automatic would jam if you hold it like that.
He even demonstrates proper firing at the end of the video.

witnessed

then don't buy one.
go bitch somewhere else

Its interesting how big of a difference that can make. I'm excited to see which one of mine do the same thing when held like that.

That is something I've never considered. I end up working outside alot and sweating so I'll have to think about that

Gay but why not, if /pol/ can create colonies in every board and even get away with shitting every thread up we could easily create little /k/ommunicates, mind our own business and I'm sure Jannies wouldn't mind much.

>I'm assuming semi auto rifles/shotguns misfire if they aren't held correctly then to?
Nah. A 9mm (or a .22 LR, or any other lightweight caliber) just does not pack enough of a punch to properly slide the rack back if you do not oppose the recoil with a firm grip on the handgun. A heavier firearm or a larger caliber will probably cycle just fine if it were to shoot unassisted in midair.

Based and yellow pilled

They should call it the 50/50 gun.
Because ive heard it only working that amount of time

REEEEEE ONE OF MUH 9000 TRAP THREADS HAVE BEEN SLIDED!

If guns are stupid then why are they so great?
Checkmate, loser.

>too poor to afford HK
It's ok, user.
I understand.

>Thinking about buying one of these for home defense.
Seems fine, especially if no one in the house is suicidal or having relationship problems.
>might be using it as a daily
Don't be an asshole. A gun in the house is defending your property and domain,
a gun in public is just you larping as an action film star
and if shit goes down you're probably going to make it worse.

>then why are they so great?
because you're broken inside and you know it

hmm...

Get a new generation one. The old models have problems. If yours runs consistently well then you will have the best concealed carry gun ever made.

Guns are for puffs and women. Real men carry a good knife, mate

I carry an emu with me. come get some.

exactly right. if you’re going to carry do so concealed and get the proper training and certification. The kind of training that lets you know the scenarios you should NOT become a part of, else end up in prison

Let’s do it, I’m on board with /k/olony

Sig makes good quality stuff. Personally if I was using a handgun for HD I'd prefer one a bit larger that is double stack.

>The kind of training that lets you know the scenarios you should NOT become a part of, else end up in prison

If you actually need training for that, you're probably too stupid to be carrying a gun.

Buy a shotgun with 00buck shells. Self defense obliged.

M&P Shield is my recommendation for concealed carry. Feels great, slim profile.

Oh Christ. I’ll bite. Clearly you haven’t seen any training and should not carry a firearm. Let’s say for example you come upon a situation where you decide to use lethal force to protect someone else from death or grievous bodily harm from someone else. This is on face value allowed and totally legal/justified. If however the person who is being threatened was the aggressor in the situation moments prior and the power roles shifted unbeknownst to you, you WOULD then be held liable for injury or the death of that person. Another example that still puts people behind bars even now. If someone in public threatens you for your belongings and you defend yourself by shooting them, you go to jail. If they brandish a weapon, different story. Depends on your locale. If someone could make the case you could have fled, despite the presence of a weapon, you could still get locked up. In your car or home, different laws apply here as well. Cliff notes: you’re an idiot

I wonder if I'd get B&'d making a thread suggestion that? Maybe I'll just shill the idea in various threads that are appropriate especially when it gets political.
It be nice to see this shithole organized again and doing something worth a dam.

>What does Yea Forums think?
Unreliable plastic shit that will crack after only a few hundred rounds. Get a good ol 1911 instead OP. It's the time tested original arm of the free world that's won two world wars and the Korean war and it's steal frame will last decades longer than any polymer crap.

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 198K)

Just remember: take your accuracy on your worst day at the range. Now, imagine it's night time, someone might be in your home, and you've just woken up: your accuracy is going to be at its worst. Either hit the range regularly (which, you should do anyways) or consider an AR or shotgun for home defense. I'm getting a diamondback AR just for my wife so she just has to aim a little bit and squeeze the trigger till it's empty

I got a walther PPq m2 9mm. it's 15 +1. Very concealable. Tight groups. about 600 bucks.

> (OP)
AR I'm talking about: DBF DB15 5.56 16 MLOK 30RD BLK
~$500

This is mine. It's a fucking cannon.

Attached: FNX45.jpg (1611x1275, 227K)

PCC's are better for indoor defense in my opinion unless you expect thugs to rob you while wearing level 3 body armor but get an AR too because why the fuck not, it's America.

It's not about what they're wearing. For people like my wife - and maybe OP - who can't go to the range as often, having something that requires much less aim is better for home defense. How many of those pistol rounds do you think Joe blow with no range time is gonna hit when some dude rushes him in the hallway?

your holding it wrong user

>Thinks he knows all the laws in all 50 states.
Much of what you said doesn't apply in my state.

>having something that requires much less aim is better for home defense
Well then technically a carbine/PCC would be a better option to mag dump a burglar so long as it's a reliable since that's easier to shoot then a rifle especially indoors not that AR's are hard to handle of course.
>How many of those pistol rounds do you think Joe blow with no range time is gonna hit when some dude rushes him in the hallway?
Well that's his fault for not training enough to be familiar with his arm and able to hit his target also hitting an intruder once would be enough to stop them in their track usually especially with 5.56 but 9mm is good enough to unless they're jacked and high on bath salts.
But again whatever floats your goat user.

At 5-10 ft?
Probably all of them.
