Because we do not think that it will have an effect. There are some people who are virgins because they are afraid that they will under perform during sex. For them, visiting a hooker is a good idea. But I am not afraid of sexual encounters. I'm just unable to get sex.

Tough to say about other people. I went from kissless handholdless virgin in highschool to getting it whenever I wanted it in college.

Looking back on it now, I think it was my entire social network that was holding me back more than my looks or "confidence". My friends talked shit and gossiped constantly and being the awkward faggot that I was, I never wanted to risk being the center of attention by getting a girlfriend. They only thought the very top tier girls were worth considering. There was no way I was getting girls like that with my ugly face and shit personality, and I was too scared to date a girl that I could actually get.

Then in college, there was significantly less of that stuff. There was of course popular judgy kids but it didn't seem like their opinions really mattered as much as they did in highschool. People just started giving way less of a fuck. Sure if I banged some really ugly girl my friends would give me shit. But it wasn't like in highschool where these kids could just ruin your entire social life over it.

That allowed me to stop caring about rejection so much and just go for it. And its a skill just like every other skill. The first couple times you go for it, you are freaking out. After awhile it doesn't even phase you. Kinda rambled there but whatever. I hope you figure it out.
