when I was in Basic, one our guys' fraternity brothers wrote to him (he says he TOLD his sister not to give them the address). It was a big envelope and yeah it got attention. All over the outside they had written "Is your drill sergeant really a fag like you say? Is it true they are such pussies that they let you come and go as you please and you don't have to listen to their bullshit? Did you really beat the drill sergeant's ass?" and other gems.
On the inside there was all kind of insulting shit too. They made him read it in front of the whole platoon. We all got a big laugh.
Then they fucking smoked his ass.
The most absurd thing was that one of the drills took it personally and never liked the guy after that. What a dumbfuck. It was obvious to anyone with half a brain- which our great drill sergeant obviously was not- that the kid had done nothing to instigate this stupid letter.
