I'm in about the same boat. The cost of living keeps going up but every time I bring up the subject of a raise with my boss, he tells me that a multi-million dollar company doesn't have an extra fucking 50 cents per hour in the budget. Then the fucker turns around and tells us about what a great year we're having.

And yeah, I'm looking for a better job but there doesn't seem to be much out there right now.

They actually can't afford to fire me either. I've been there longer than even the manager so I can run the place with my eyes closed. We only make like maybe $900 to $1000 in a whole day so they send everyone home frequently. It isn't out of the ordinary for only 2 people to be on staff at any given time.
