It is, but welcome to the reality of the Marine Corps. Things just don't work that way, everything you do follows you everywhere. And it is a failure, even though it was all out of my hands. I don't get a choice, they treat me just the same as anyone else who's injured during the course.
I do my best not to sulk in it but when you're surrounded by the constant reminder that you aren't good enough and you didn't perform well enough to go to an MOS that might have been enjoyable. There are some people who had their shot, did their thing and they moved on. I never had mine, that's why I'm so bitter. There are people who got a second chance after waiting almost a year for an injury to heal. But not me. Not a lot of people.
The only better future I have is out of supply and back to grunt shit. Not this. I want to get the fitreps I can and get out or do special forces. Or just give up because I know I'll end up failing out of selection and being miserable for another four years anyway.
