Why would you go to matrix lol. Go to Farbfernseher. Go to one of the underground bars near Rosenthalerplatz. Van Hoa, Oxymoron, Al Safa, pretty much any hipster restaurant will be good.

Yes. Don't fuck with your phone in line or make a scene. Wait til you get inside to turn it up. And if they turn you away, go somewhere else and come back later. It's not as hard to get into places as people say. Just be normal and don't be a bummer or a problem or a flashy asshole. If you want to go to Berghain go at like 5/6am on Sunday morning and they'll let you right in.

My honest recommendation: Don't go to Berlin. It's the shithole of Germany and more muslim than anything else. I really feel sorry for every tourist that spends money on visiting Berlin. Go to small towns in Bavaria, if you really want to see the german way of life and german traditions. Berlin has no traditions, it's too multicultural.

You'll be fine. Nobody will even look twice at you. People kinda let each other do their thing here and you will see people way more decked out than you are in clubby areas at night.

Not really. I only said it is an option if the wants to party. But if he mainly wants to see how Germany and its traditions really are, Berlin is not the best example. I recommend Bamberg, Rothenburg o.d.T., Fränkische Schweiz (esp. Gößweinstein/Pottenstein), the Alps, Baltic and German Sea, etc.

Even if I have to just go to regular bars I'll be fine, I looked up a bunch in Neukolln and Kreuzberg and it seems like there are a lot of cool ones.
I'm pretty excited! I just have to discipline myself and save money over the next 3 weeks for the trip.

Go to KitKat and just try it. If they wont let u in try it again later, maybe an hour or two and they will let you in. But check out dresscodes and rules before you go there. They got a lot of different fetish-parties for every different kind of fetish!
