A mixed system like most Western countries works best. You are just defining every country as socialist that failed, and countries that are doing fine as not socialist. Some countries that are pretty far into socialism are great places to live. Any place where the state does not own everything, like Sweden will be very successful.

A free market with low taxes no minimum wage and and minimal regulation other than the essentials environment pollution etc will give people a thriving job market with plenty of choice.

On that note, what should realize is AOC has no concept of what the electoral college is for--in fact, the reason she advocates its amending or abolishment is the exact reason it was set up, so major population centers like New York wouldn't drown out the voices of people from more rural parts of the country
