Factually, British teeth are better than American teeth. Americans actually have to pay to have their teeth looked at, even as children. It's a really shit healthcare system that costs more per person despite being much worse. They must like it though because they keep voting for it.

You're asking for facts while giving none, but thanks for the freebie on agreeing that your own system is failing despite it being "better". Those better results are speculative at best. Everyone also fails to account for the fact that most of the countries that have a standard healthcare system are extremely small compared to the USA. Britain has roughly 262 million fewer people. A free healthcare system is failing there relatively quickly. Our system has no end in sight, but if we switch to making it free for all, we bankrupt our own funds in half the time of yours. It sounds great on paper and the voters love the idea, but it doesn't and hasn't ever worked for extended periods of time.

Also, you don't get a worldwide reputation for terrible teeth without there being genuine merit to it at some point in time.

Somehow, they always find a cavity to fill and charge you for "repairs"; then they say you are not cleaning your teeth properly, so they need a professional cleaning, that they also charge for, despite the fact that they mainly use the opportunity to use a dental microdrill to bore through the tooth enamel and dentine to expose the underlying pulp thus creating another guaranteed cavity to charge you for, six months down the line.
Then they recommend other things like an expensive toothbrush with a microprocessor controlled digital bendy head and powdered diamond tipped tungsten bristles (that they just happen to have in stock and can offer a 50% discount on) and a one hundred metre reel of dental floss woven from specially imported Chinese silk-worm thread that has to be delivered to them by expensive teams of former Olympic marathon runners, who carry the product by hand along the full length of the Marco Polo "Silk Road" Trail.

I always had at least one cavity that I needed to pay for, until I stopped going for the regular checkups for ten years, and the only repair work that needed doing after ten years of neglect was very expensive root extractions of the two teeth that were repaired (ten years earlier) by some sort of (expensive, but "the very best") white epoxy resin veneer that had been impregnated with genetically modified lentiviruses that sought out, destroyed then automatically repaired the damage caused by 99.9% of "dental caries vectors".
