Anyway, lead guitar dude worked at a steel mill, on his last day, the absolute madman chopped his damn fingertips off his left hand. like the ones you use to manipulate the strings on an electric guitar. so this bamf melts down bottle caps over his fucked up fingers to mold them to create thimble things. wraps em in leather. it still hurts like a summbitch so he has to tune his guitar down so the strings wont be as taunt. this lower tuning is what helped create that heavy metal sound, rougher, more distorted.
