actually just watched this recently. Pretty unexpected with the twist and turns if you're not familiar with yakuza movies i guess. I'd rank the trilogy as 1,3,2. 2 was the weakest and also boring at times.

Don't fucking care. Joker is my boy.
overrated, but very meme worthy
Hasn't aged well, but still very decent
only good joaquin phoenix flick is this 1
Are we talking about movies that are good, or movies that we can always watch no matter what? I loved No Country for Old Men, but I can't watch it again because the ending pissed me off. Fucking little old lady in a station wagon bull shit. I mean I can always put on something like Speed Racer or Real Steal because its mindless and colorful and I don't have to think. I can just enjoy the retarded paste Hollywood puts in front of me. I would say that my all time favorite movie would have to be High Fidelity though. I think I just saw it at the exact right time I could have in my life.
8mm
>Fucking little old lady in a station wagon bull shit
It was random chance, which the character lived by
this Horror classic!
Took it a while to topple my previous favorite but I eventually decided it was Moneyball.

Is that the one where everything gets altered when people are asleep? If so it's a good solid film, not great but good.
Yo check out Mr "New Queer Cinema" over here. Have you joined the $5 club today?
It's fine. There are a ton of better movies out there that don't bore you to death

guadagnino's suspiria
Back to the Future
Looks like a college frat initiation. Or something that good ol Jeff Epstein would do in his spare time when it was time to get rid of the pizza
fucking god tier movie
Debris Documentar
I could live without spirited away. Same goes for princess mononoke. But they're "classics" Akira is good. Long though.
If we're going "animated" fist of the North Star obviously... I actually liked FF7 Advent children more than I did spirited away. The spirits within was ok too but I could deal without the sappiness..
You're both right. I way prefer GitS to Akira, personally. They both have astounding music and animation
GitS: Stand Alone Complex does an amazing job staying on-tone with the anime and the first film. It's the sci-fi police procedural we all deserve
Yea. It's my favorite but it is far from the best
>it's a good solid film, not great but good.
This is pretty much what I tell people.
A+ classic!
what are your thoughts on these 2 flicks:

Patrician taste
anime->*manga
That whole 2nd gig series was great. I'm partial to GitS. The laughing man saga was awesome. I even enjoyed the 2.0 film they did. That scene where she goes 1v1 vs the tank and gets absolutely pummelled.. epic
A couple by Bunuel & Bergman...
Pretty typical I guess.
Who dressed that guy? Don’t you have any local gay guys to help you out with that? I mean jesus.
Actual masterpiece!

and your favorite band is radiohead and pink floyd
it's honestly not desu i loved that movie as a kid
The Beatles Yellow Submarine
Like one of their album covers in motion.
Aliens
Terminator 2
The Elephant Man
Hunchback of Notre Dame [1986]
The Thing
Amele
Grandmas Boy
The Thin Red Line
Bill and Teds excellent adventure
In Rainbows is and OK Computer are great, but radiohead and pink floyd are incredibly overrated.
Here's a list of my current favorite albums though.
Take your Yea Forums copypasta back to its board.
Not a copypasta, just a list I made. I posted it to Yea Forums and I was criticized for having pleb taste and not watching enough old movies and foreign movies.
I was surprised at how much I liked Annihilation. I read the source material and it was basically unbearable
I'm definitely looking forward to more Alex Garland. I watched Ex Machina afterwards and I was blown away by Oscar Isaac's performance
How do you order FMJ, Saving Private Ryan, Apocalypse Now, Hacksaw Ridge, and Platoon?
Also: no Grand Budapest? What am I missing about The Life Aquatic?
Rear window is superior to Vertigo
I fucking loved Annihilation. Reminded me of if David Lynch wanted to dabble in scifi horror. I think Alex Garland and Denis Villeneuve are the two best directors out today.
FMJ>Apocalypse Now>Platoon>Hacksaw Ridge>Saving Private Ryan
Didn't put Grand Budapest because somehow it's the only Wes Anderson movie I haven't seen. Putting it wouldn't be honest. Honestly I just loved Life Aquatic. It felt the most Wes Anderson and most original. It was quirky, had a great soundtrack, I loved the color aesthetic, and I loved how well rounded the movie was. It had action, heart, love, art, drama, and everything you could ever want from Anderson. To me it's just the most memorable movie he's done, it's stayed with me the most, and it's the one I'll always go back and watch again.
I agree. The list isn't in order.
why did Elijah Blue Allman do this:
en.wikipedia.org
to him in the back room of the Viper Room while Flea and Depp watched????
listen to Elijah Blue's first(not the 2nd one cause he only talks about getting clean)
appearance on Howard Stern, a few weeks before Vincent Gallo's infamous appearance...
Elijah spoke for a few minutes about his very first time he smoked black tar heroin with Phoenix at his mom's medieval mansion in Malibu and how he later went on to shooting speed.
also Elijah's band, Deadsy, premier performance was at the Viper Room thanks to Josh Richman's drug buddies Depp & Crispin Glover who both at one time owned part of the Viper Room.
...and another thing is Elijah added a line about River and him shooting-up in their cover of a Bowie classic:

Top tier sf horror. Outstanding choice. John Carpenter's best work.
Overrated
Overrated/pol. B at best.
Kill Bill
Good taste, thats a quality flick
>ok.ru
What is up The national? I bought an album. So boring. What's the appeal? Same thing with Bon Iver. Snoooozefest. Tell me why I'm wrong.
I really liked the movie 13 hours, about benghazi. Also, Needful things and the Stand. Dead Presidents was good, twister.
Music covers many different emotion, just like art. The National perfectly captures somber and optomistic without being sad and depressing.
Listen to Bloodbuzz Ohio. Good starting place for them.
C'mon The Guard was far better
Nadal?
most films from imdb.com
chopper is good, i concur
Pure kino
Utter garbage. The editing was shit and multiple re-uses of several extras. Looked like a student film shot on a shoestring budget, by an incompetant director. Oh! Guess what? It was in fact that hack Joel Schumacher after all.

Inglorious Basterds was shit, most of QT's movies are full on shit with the exception of pulp fiction and reservoir dogs.
Happy Gilmore or the big Lebowski
Having a favorite movie is stupid. The more you watch a movie, the less entertaining it becomes. Eventually the movie will be super boring and no longer your favorite. Do you autists seriously put on the same fucking movie over and over?
I've been watching happy Gilmore since it came out. You seriously only watch a movie once? That's pretty autistic
neck or flip like Etika
You sound like my ex. She only ever wanted to watch a movie once.
Normal people aren't like that.
