Solvents effect the alloys in fake China bullshit carts and pull out manufacturing oils that remain in those metals. As well, Oils used in manufacturing of the carts are rarely cleaned and dissolve into your THC and terpenoids (which are all hydrocarbons and this solvents in and of themselves - this is the same science behind THCa diamonds precipitating in “solventless” sauce). Carts aren’t safe in and of themselves, let alone the shitty growing practices of the grower/processor who filled the cart. I agree with you that pesticides, sulfur, and salts are the major concerns, but lead and other alloys in your carts and residual oils from alloy manufacturing is also a concern that lies within the cart itself. I choose to not use carts at all. Take low temp solventless dabs from an organic grower (myself) off of quartz, sapphire, or ceramic. It’s safer, tastier, and supports farmers with good growing practices.

if there are terpenes being vaporized such that you can taste them then I guarantee you that it isn't odorless, just that only non smokers who aren't desensitized to the smell will be able to pick it up. vapor doesn't linger as smoke does, however, and it doesn't have that burnt oregano smell, but it absolutely does still smell.

Don't smoke it, and make sure the cart you get is sealed and is labeled "Solventless", but that looks like it's contaminated, your carts should always be a consistent color all the way through, whether it's Klear brand, light amber or medium amber, it should never look like that.
