Yeah the map has three islands, and at the beginning you can't leave the island you start on. Then there's a big plot twist and a long cutscene, and after it's over, you're on the second island and the bridges are open. It's a goosebump moment the first time you play it.

I started FF14 a month ago. The MSQ grind is so real. I just finished Heavensward and I'm like halfway through the Dragonsong quests. I'm also playing despite the fact that I don't care about the story like, at all. I just want to get to end game content. The dungeons/duties are really fun tho and they just keep getting better.
