Is climate change even real? What would actually happen when we reach the "end" point?

Climate change is a hoax. It's man made geoengineering that's causing all the weather related problems across the world. Search HAARP on Google op

It's a matter of the increase in world mean temperature.

If it were to increase by as much as 6°C, that would mean that the regions around the Equator would be uninhabitable.

The arctic ice will be gone.
Sea levels rise.
Much of the world will be unable to grow crops.

Bullshit, you conspiracy dunce.

Hahahahahahahahahah. Fuck off sheep.

Not to mention the disruption of sea life ecosystems.
A huge amount of life will die from the increased heat.

when i was a kid, it was the holes in the ozone layer. it would allow sunrays to burn the earth at full force and force humans underground.

then it was pollution and the deforestation of the amazons that would reduce oxygen, making humanity suffocate to death.

then the global cooling scare from the 70s was reanimated and people freaked out about the coming ice age.

after that people freaked out because of the mayan calendar predicting the judgement day.

now it's global warming.

Waters with different salt levels don't mix. Because of this, currents are created from the equator to the northern and southern hemispheres creating all the different climates as the hot is dragged into the cold.

As the fresh water caps melt those currents change and the climate around the world changes. This is why the phrase went from Global Warming to Climate Change - if the world temp increases then the overall climate in each country changes, not necessarily to hotter.

This has risks to both sea and land ecosystems, which we depend on for food and other resources. If we don't tackle the root cause while finding other ways to sustain ourselves then entire nations could suffer.

What it means for the western world is the poor will be affected first, and then the lower to middle classes. Food becomes more scarce which drives up prices. You might not die, but you'll struggle to survive.

Except there is an element of relativity to each of those. Look up the doomsday clock - global warming is the worst threat to extinction we've faced since the middle of the cold war and the threat of nuclear winter.

Yes people do panic where there usually isn't a need to, but this threat is genuine and has more urgency to it than the others. Also the Rain Forest is still needed to fight climate change. And the issue was never that the ozone layer would force people underground, its that is was located over the ice caps that we really don't want to melt. They melt, shit-tons of methane is released into the air and climate change becomes irreversible.

Climate change started just after Trump got elected.

Show me one solid source that PROVES that climate change is a hoax and its all being done by HAARP?

Because I could use the same mindset you have of pouring through data, only I can also look at and repeat experiments based on the logic behind climate change and therefore PROVE climate change is real.

You can't build a weather machine but I can prove greenhouse gasses cause a climates temperate to rise and therefore prove global warming, and therefore overall climate change, is real.

Not an argument.

Not even true. But this kind of stupidity is to be expected from Yea Forums.
They knew about this shit since the late 70s.

Yes the climate is changing, how much we are the cause of it is debatable

die i guess, there's not an endpoint we just fuck things up enough we cant survive.

its funny how 'day after tomorrow' was actually sort of right about the icecaps melting and causing cold snaps. its not going to be freezer hurricanes, but the breakdown of the north atlantic current will likely make most of northern europe uninhabitable.

hey, when they start coming to the americas in droves will we build a wall to keep them out?

>What would actually happen when we reach the "end" point?

everyone gets season tickets to the yankees

Mammals goes away.
Earth does something else.
Earth is fine, we're fucked.
Enjoy life while you have it.

i bet it's the poles flipping and field weakening and not really anything we can control.

If the polar ice caps melt all of the water will fall off of the flat earth, that's scary to me.

The scariest part are potential pathogens in the permafrost that predate humans.

Not really. What's happened in the last century and a half would normally take nature a few millenia.

We'd be Venus.
