depends on how high maintenance she is.
Don't buy a diamond, buy moissanite

100 is fine if you flip burgers or something.
1x times your montly salary, and wedding ring 2x monthly salary. thats the standard, so amount depends on your salary

The proleness in this thread is cringe worthy. If you can't even afford a decent ring, don't get married
>100 bucks
as vampire the masquerade: bloodlines says "one day's limit from an atm". no woman is worth much more.
Including the piercing you should be able to get a cock ring for that.

Says who?
You better ask her for her ring
women and (((merchants))))
It depends, but it's definitely not worth going broke over. I'm a bit well to do, so I spent around $5k. Which is low by some people's standards, but I could not justify spending much more than that. You can get CZs that are absolutely indistinguishable from real diamonds. If you're on a tight budget, go that route. Hell, you can even lie about it and nobody will be able to prove you any different.
LOL, if you got a girl that’ll take a $100 ring you better settle now. Most people spend around 10-15 times that much
I'm gonna need proof on the women claim.
As for (((them))) I believe you 100%
Wedding ring that's 2x your monthly salary?! That makes no sense, the wedding ring is much cheaper than the engagement ring. I spent $9k (about 2/3 of my monthly gross) on my wife's engagement ring but only $800 on a custom made wedding ring (it goes good against the engagement ring). The main diamond is a .82 karat, color E, VVS2 with ideal cut (hearts and arrows). Do research first or you'll get screwed, the ring I bought was appraised by my insurance at $14k.
Best research site I found: beyond4cs.com
That said if your monthly salary is less than ideal then there's no shame in moissanite or cubic zirconium.
This - the way most gemologists distinguish diamond from CZ is that CZ is TOO perfect/brilliant for a given cut. If you have an ideal cut flawless color D diamond then it takes special machinery to (non-destructively) distinguish it from CZ. Any gemologists that claims otherwise is lying.
If you're worried about how much you should spend on a ring whether it be engagement or marriage, don't.
Love isn't/shouldn't be about money.
I got a really beautiful opal ring for around that price.
Look for lab grown stones. They're still real, and are more durable and have less flaws than mined stones.
You can also go straight thru the labs instead of the jeweler, and get it cheaper, and can often customize
