what can be done with the massive drug overdose in canada?
how bad is it living in a shithole country with bad healthcare?
Make Narcan illegal
Are there unusually different medical procedures for Canada?
What time is it?
how many weed overdoses since legalization?
have the sandniggers killed everyone yet
1658
how is making narcan illegal going to solve the problem? why cant liberals think of better solutions to fix problems then making stuff illegal
Idk you tell me how bad it is here plz
brutal
I would say Canadian paramedics have a deeper scope of practice then paramedic in the states
So junkie scum die genius
how so?
the only safe way to do drugs if they're regulated in the dosage is correct every time
What's the number one thing people do wrong in an emergency?
I haven't done my research so take what I say with a grain of salt but throughout school all of our teachers told us that in the states paramedics are technicians they see a problem they follow a checklist to sort it out. in the Canada we are clinicians we see the problem we take into account all of the aspects of the call we don't follow a checklist necessarily and then we treat accordingly for the best outcome of the pt
r u comin soon?

whats the most brutal accident you've seen?
If you had to euthanize yourself, what would you use?
NICE.... lol, my buddy in paramedic school told me there was a story of a guy who took a bennadryl overdose, and they misdiagnosed Nerve Gas (BZ, i think) and the whole area was quarantined, and dude died. so, checklist. yeah lol
i'm not OP, but i'd use phenobarbital. or nembutal if they still make it
What is your most common emergency call related to? Car accident, drug overdose, old person dying etc
to be fair diphenhydramine or Benadryl is actually a very potent anticholinergic so the diagnosis of nerve gas is not that far off
Not OP. That's actually true. Here in they had a government program giving free lab grade H to irreversible addicts and the crime rates of the participants dropped to zero. They suddenly became normal people with normal lives that just had to go once a day to a place to get their shot.
The program worked "too well", so they shut it down.
if I'm trying to go out fast shotgun if I'm trying to go out nicely I would go with either Co poisoning or shitload of morphine
honestly it's just generally sick people that either can't get to the hospital on their own or are worried enough that they call us either way at the end of the day our main goal is to get somebody definitive care which is generally only offered in the hospital
Why do you have police cars follow the ambulance when apprehending someone who is mentally ill?
What's the craziest call you've been in?
I would say that's a lot of number one things depending on what type of emergency is happening.
a few things I hate to see
first if your buddy gets knocked the fuck out don't wiggle his head around like a box of Jell-O because it'll snap his neck worse than it already did when he hit the floor
second of all if somebody is having a seizure and do not touch them unless you're preventing them from hurting themselves further by hitting a wall or something like that do not put anything in their mouth do not move them the best thing you can do is call 911 and time the seizure tell me how many seizures there have been tell me how long they lasted and worst comes to worst if they're choking on their own saliva or whatever vomit they have coming up you can clear the airway but don't get your fingers bit off
third I wouldn't say the mistake because you don't know if you've never done it but if you have to do CPR on someone the correct way to do it is really fast and really hard if you're not breaking in the ribs you're not doing it right I can't tell you how many times I've showed up on scene after a bystander has been doing CPR I do my first compression and I snap all the ribs if that happens I immediately know that the previous 10 minutes of CPR have been useless
sorry if there's any spelling errors within this I'm using text-to-speech on my phone cuz I'm a lazy fucker
I responded to a pedestrian struck but he wasn't hit directly by the moving car a car engine intersection got T-boned flew over him and pinned him onto the car he had a flail chest and amputated leg a massive skull injury but was still conscious and talking just too clearly in a lot of pain obviously
not my call but I listen to it all play out over the radio I'll try to summarize the most I can woman gets mad at husband stabs him repeatedly paramedic show up and treat the husband of the woman has locked herself in into a room and stabbed herself in the abdomen. While the paramedics are treating the man the police run over and yell she jump she jumped this lady after stabbing herself and not dying from it decided to try to commit suicide by jumping off that balcony which I believe was a bit 14 floors, she landed in a mud pit from a construction site at the bottom of the building with zero injuries except for her self-inflicted Stab Wound and an abrasion to the face and obviously quite shaken up in concussed.
This bitch tried to commit murder suicide and fail at both
gnarly
does the brutal stuff get to you at all? or is it just work?
oh right,i forgot.marijuana is legal in canada.so i guess your all to stoned to care about the socialist pile of shit you live in
Jesus fucking Christ.
What are your thoughts on death? I mean, how has your work influenced them if it has.
you hit the nail on the head man or should I say you lit the joint well
I'm sure there's been a lot but the word overdose and we don't really go together just too high to function
honestly it's a weird feeling you've been trained for everything you've waited so long to see it because usually just get mundane and calls and when she hits the fan you just do your job and you follow protocol and you end up doing good and worse comes to worse if you can't handle it as another guy right behind you ready to take your job
the trauma is not what gets to me but gets to me is the mental illness and people living in poor conditions
you high sound like bubblegum friend?
everyone says they want to die peacefully and with dignity but the truth is neither of those usually happen you're either sick for a while and then die in a hospital or you go in your sleep and your family has to mourn that morning when they find your cold body
I was thinking of getting high but the real reason my typing a shit is cuz I'm using text-to-speech and I'm not looking it over before sending it
No
