Nah, you never rely on your pinky when using a stick, it's just not strong enough to keep up with the speed/precision of your other fingers. Even in SF styled games where you have a 6 button layout, the pinky is never poised over any one of them unless you use a really weird custom binding.

You're fucked for keyboard shooters unless you can learn to use your ring finger for the Ctrl/Shift area. Even then you'll still lose some left side movement reaction having to adjust middle to cover where your ring should be.

You're fine for controllers though. Even the fancy ones like you should be able to palm the paddle on the back, or if you have some stump left put a ring with a popsicle stick glued to it to press it.

The military is buying shit well beyond the market price like bolts for over 20 bucks when they could be much cheaper at home depot.
