Should I learn more languages? I have a specialty for them, meaning that I pick them up really easily, so far i speak english, spanish, portuguese, ASL, and can read in french. Should I learn any actual languages like french or german? Or am I set. Just asking this question because I can't think of any practical use of learning the previously mentioned, for example.

Looking for a career? Government is always on the lookout for people who are good with languages. Learn Aramaic, a Chinese dialect or Russian and you're set.
Shit, really? From 1 to 10 how good of an improvement would be learning chinese?
1 being it doesn't change my life in any way, 10 being I will get taken into really high paying jobs thanks to it
10 for Chinese. Its the most spoken language in the world as 40%+ of population is asian, combine this with Finance or something alike and you are set for life.
There is a lot of Asians that speak english, but not much other people speaking Chinese. Especially in the workplace
言語能力がいいよ
No idea what that means
Don't really see myself in finance. I'm studying to be a psychologist
Learn mandarin and become a millionaire teaching chinks how to talk English by showing them reruns of Seinfeld
You should actually try to learn Chinese
I’m in the same situation as you are
I know spanish, English, French and German. I know how to read, write and speak. Rn I’m trying to learn how to
speak Chinese and it’s really difficult but
I know that after a while I’ll catch on to it

Well in that case I would continue to to learn academic languages. I did my undergrad in german language(which i admit wasnt hard because I came from a danish and english speaking family) in order to transition to academia as a career. I'm in grad school for philosophy now and even in pysch you will quickly learn that a lot of big academic works can be lost in translation. Like Kant for my field or perhaps Jung for yours, and that is is a lot different to be able to interpret things directly as written. Plus being an academic language german and french would serve you pretty well in terms of grad school applications and the inevitable dick sucking that comes from studying to become an academic and being around highly educated people. It is definately a good ass-kissing tool to address my professors in their native langauage. If were you personally I would pick up on german maybe even minor in it,and when you go on to grad school look for one of those graduate literacy courses in latin or greek.
>I have a specialty for them, meaning that I pick them up really easily
that's not what specialty means
ironic isnt it?
the word you're looking for is affinity
>Chinese. Its the most spoken language in the world

Hell if I know, nigga, I just study it cause I like it. For one, maybe you could live there, they have a beautiful society. If not, well at least you could enjoy all the unreleased anime/manga/video games in their native text without some shitty fan translation.
Well my friend, perhaps I could get into it just for those reasons! I will consider it

>If your not a spaz there are at least several intelligence agencies that would love to talk with you.
Uhh why?
Hahahah it was on purpose, you could interpret it as "more challenging" or "difficult". I think it's fair to say that english is one of the easiest languages out there
" I have a specialty for them"
Can't form a proper sentence in English
Oh well, good sir. Allow me to fix my mistake. I meant to say "Affinity" as another faggot such as yourself so WITTILY pointed out. Imagine being such a little bitch that you shit on someone who knows like 5 languages for not using THE SPECIFIC WORD FOR SOMETHING. Go suck a bag of horsecocks
