I watched the original Hellsing 2003 anime back in 2013, and watched Ultimate right afterward. The. Read the manga.
I love both of the depictions of her.
In the 2003 anime she was very contemplative about her situation, she seemed to be very unsure about her future, and scared because of it. It seemed the Vampirism would amplify her deep seated resentment within her, and this violent part of her is terrifying to her.
I can relate alot to this, I had some problems with resentment a few years ago.
In Ultimate she has a much more comedic role, yet because of the greater context of her character from the original, you know that much of her bubbly, and ditzy mannerisms are in part a facade over deepseated fear, despair, and resentment. That come tomthemsurface when she is fighting, or alone.

One of the big things with Hellsing was that they regected alot of the ways to kill vampires in pop culture, so that they would be much stronger and difficult to kill.
For a weak vampire a silver bullet through the heart or head would do just fine, but stronger vampires would need to be shot until all of their power was exhausted.
