Comfy thread.
landlady just gave me 2 week's notice.
feeling kinda down but whatever, maybe its for the best. kinda wanted an excuse to move out of this town anyway.
Let's have a comfy thread.

Not necessarily “comfy” in the traditional sense, but it makes me feel comfy, so yeah...
I'm hoping to move, really just for a change of scenery. Almost don't care where, but somewhere cold would be nice.
reminds me of wandering through the manga stores in a soft coat with a runny nose in akihabara japan sometime in 2007
Nice.
Yeah that's how I'm approaching this thing with my landlady kicking me out. I've been in this town for 2 months now and had no luck finding a job here. At first I was annoyed at her or stressed about having to find another place to live but after texting some friends and thinking about shit I think it's a good sign to just up and move to a larger city and get a fresh start there.
sounds comfy. I lived in Japan around 2007-ish too. It was a good time and place.
Moving is usually a big hassle, but its pretty therapeutic too. A new start in many ways, even if across town to another house.
ah the moving itself isn't a hassle, I just throw everything into my backpack and check into a hostel or something.
just sucks because renting in this place for the last 2 months has been the only good, stable thing to fall back on this whole time that i've been job hunting.
i miss winters in japan the most. freezing while drinking chu-hi's along the river nibbling some karaage from lawsons then taking that last keikyu train home while they blast the heat
>freezing while drinking chu-hi's along the river nibbling some karaage from lawsons then taking that last keikyu train home while they blast the heat
making me homesick for Japan.
that shit was my favorite.
smash a couple of strong chu-hais and destroy some cheese-stuffed fried chicken while waiting for the last train home.
anyone else find D&D comfy?
ever walk along the train line sipping that real gold just chillaxing to the sound of the rails and wind and the occasional mamachati passing by
nah, only walked along the train line a couple of times. I had a bicycle so I used to take shortcuts through temples and by rice paddies to get to places instead.
but I used to like fapping to the Real Gold girl in the commercials.
she was kawaii as fuck.
lol
Sucks man, I used to live in a city with shit power to the landlords; been there, done that.
I just bought my first house/property/whatever at 29, making 30k a year. It's a small house in the south, outside a city hub....far enough out so I can afford it. Small, but comes with everything I want.
FYI I thought it was insurmountable, but unless you live in a major major city, if you can afford rent, you can put enough money away to put down for a house in a few years. Crazy to think about tbh, even though I've been through it.
>Somewhere cold
I'm from FL, but lived in Boston for a while. I will always be a southern heat person, but I can't say I don't miss the cold Boston winters, even if I had a huge case of winter blues. That coziness and melancholy is hard to come by.
>Moving is usually a big hassle, but its pretty therapeutic too.
So true.
Why didn't you pay your rent
youtu.be
i mean in theory, but my group mostly just kills everything lol. still kinda comf
rent was fine, paid on time. i'm financially stable enough I could take a year or two off of working if I needed to.
her complaint was that we "dont get along well enough as housemates".
she's been home with an injury unable to work for months, i've been unemployed job hunting for a couple of months. apparently me being home too much was annoying her.
talking to locals it's a lot of red flags and technically I could get her done for breaking the law but I'm at the point where I'm like meh whatever fuck it, it's a sign I should give up and move to somewhere bigger anyway.
either way, lesson learned. No matter how nice the place is, NEVER live with the landlord/landlady. Sharing a fridge, bathroom, living room etc with one is bound to end up being shit.
>but my group mostly just kills everything lol
based murder-hobos.
Great images folks.
>comfy thread
Don't mind if I do. Sorry about your shitty situation OP. Have some comfy stuff you pizza shoe
I think this marks the most wholesome thread I've ever seen on Yea Forums.
used to be pretty common before a generation of edgy teens settled in.
never live with women period.
they bitch if you're around too much saying you smother them and if you're not around a lot she'll give your room away and say you're never around anyway
newfags
i miss inclement and dangerous weather. If any anons have severe rain or snow storm images that shit is max comfy for me. sorry i can't contribute.
there's usually a comfy thread up every night or so. they're great.
Why is that? Like, why is dangerous weather comfy to you?
I know it just makes me reminisce to a time when the entirety of Yea Forums could be chill and calm for a few days.
it does look clean and calm and cool
I wish i knew. I grew up in Tx having horrible tornados and destructive storms every year as a child and joined the muhreens ending up in Okinawa japan where there was a 4 year period of back to back major typhoons.
Theres something about it that makes me feel calm like nothing i do matters so everything i do counts
And I thought cats knew how to get comfy. Tha dog is the physical manifestation of comfy.
Bobbity boopy
OP here, thanks user.
nice pic too, pretty much all I ever wanted to be honest.
just so relaxing but i was always on vacation in the winter so i guess that adds the effect
Is this a real place?? Looks straight out a fantasy novel or fairy tale.
I wonder if i'm the only one that vacations to cold places in the summer to get away from hot, and then will vacation to even colder places in the winter with lots of snow. I'd like to get into staying a weekend in a city when it has a blizzard warning, just to enjoy the snow in the city.
this is the shit i like. Impending rainstorms remind me of being in the middle of the ocean staring out into the black nothingness and feeling the pure unadulterated energy of the sea getting ready to fight for its claim to life
>entirety of Yea Forums
>chill and calm
>for a couple days
complete and utter horseshit, never happened newnigger. go the fuck back to r/wholesomememes with your heccin doggos you fucking cancer. kill yourself
I like how this picture is what youd see today in that spot, or what you'd see 250 years ago in that spot. Maybe the lamps are electric, but if gas its no different.
do you also get people telling you "no you don't" when you say you enjoy the freezing cold?
My entire family has an obsession with saying i'm wrong or mentally ill for going hiking in the woods during the winter. The feeling of getting caught in a snowstorm is something i can't explain to people and every time i try they think i'm just suicidal
had a thunderstorm roll by to the north today, very relaxing
its pretty great on the sea. Watching the storm approach from hundreds of miles away. The water calming to almost standstill. Then chaos and you are enveloped by the storm and the water
You'll get another place, bro. I know shit's rough. But how we handle rough times tends to define us. Enjoy some moar comfiness
i don't really care about what you say. But Yea Forums used to have threads that carried on for days on end. The last one of worth that i remember was a guy who was doing urbex in the outskirts of NY and uploading pictures via wifi when he had a stable connection. He ended up in an underground train graveyard that was connected to an old WWII shelter and supply cache.
I get that Yea Forums like all things is a sum of its parts and people that post in it. But things were different back then and you could legitimately talk and tell stories here
Fuck yeah, secret rooms are really comfy (unless you are the dungeon sex slave).
Yeah man. Village in Romania iirc. It's like real life HD Whiterun
I used to enjoy going for a jog in this type of weather. Lightning be damned
lol commiefornia
piece of advice, if you want it. dont fall for the "i am going to stumble into the right place" meme. we invest those lucky finds with a certain romance thats that only good when we already have it. it stops us from actively seeking and searching. do go out there, do look at a few different places. you can still get lucky, then - but you gotta look what kind of place you might like, its increases your chances of finding a good new place infinitely.
That shit's tight, dude. I fucking love snow + light
If anyone has any comfy music suggestions let’s hear it, need those feels as I drift off
Yes, they look at me like i have 2 heads. When I was a kid I would say all this kinda shit i like and how I don't want a giant house and office job and standard family with 2.7 kids. Most of the stuff i preferred wasn't basic and normal. The adults would always say 'it'll change when you get older', or 'you'll understand later', or 'you are just a dumb kid', etc.
I spent a lot of time expecting i'd change and understand, but that never happened. I just don't want the average normal life and prefer things that aren't the expected. Wasted many years doing a bunch of shit i hated because everyone convinced me i'd like it someday.
Great advice user OP this user knows what’s up
You keep forgetting my place
As much as I love the big window, snowy cabins, all I can think about is how much of a bitch it would be to heat something like that.
where in China?
>Wasted many years doing a bunch of shit i hated because everyone convinced me i'd like it someday.
the entirety of mankind
thanks user
I've spent 10 years working in Asia and come back to the West, it's been hard adjusting.
ahem...not china, Taiwan.
that's what was great about this place. there were cool stories, but they were buried under shit. you probably forget about that with your rose tinted glasses, but there was gore and cp and forced memes. there was also funny, original stuff, but you had to wade through a sea of garbage to get to it. nowadays it's all redditors looking for the next le epic screencap, and people insisting Yea Forums should be a dumb hugbox "like it used to be".
>As much as I love the big window, snowy cabins, all I can think about is how much of a bitch it would be to heat something like that.
I lived in canada. When I see the snowy vistas and the bedrooms with huge windows over looking snowy forests, all I can think is...that place must be freezing at night.
close geographically but not culturally. I spent a few years working for a Taiwanese company in China. Very different, welcome back
>nowadays it's all redditors looking for the next le epic screencap, and people insisting Yea Forums should be a dumb hugbox "like it used to be".
not even.
for like 3 or 4 years now Yea Forums has just been 80% /soc/ porn.
I mean there were always a couple of porn threads on Yea Forums but FB FAP, IG/CSGO/KIK threads, left/right, wwyd, recognize threads etc etc
so fucking many of them
and now every newfag that's only started browsing here the last few years thinks this is how Yea Forums is.
we made a whole seperate board called /soc/ to moderate this shit too and hiroshimoot doesn't have the balls to actually move any of the threads to there.
when i have children i am going to pretend i have no idea whatsoever what they are talking about when mentioning the secret rooms
as if i did not plan from the very beginning for them to find them, make them their own, and enjoy the those tiny slices of magic one can still encounter in these modern days.
>welcome back
I'm still here. In Kaohsiung. Why can't you adjust to being home?
i don't have rose tinted glasses though. Some of the other interesting threads were the gore and forced memes. The garbage was always there but if it got posted people would just ignore it and let it die a quick death. Or they would sage it and make it die faster. Hence the term pissing into an ocean of piss
I can agree with you about the redditors but i have to point out that nobody is arguing for Yea Forums to be a hugbox. Nobody ever did or will. Most people like me want to the spam to be pushed to its own boards. Yea Forums was always full of porn but it was more organized in times past. Do you notice how porn threads will start and end with maybe 40-50 images of the requested subject matter? Thats what bothers people. There are better boards to post it with archival function but Yea Forums is getting flooded with normie porn.
After playing Firewatch and Fallout 76, I can't help but imagine how beautiful it would be to work in a fire watch station.
>every newfag that's only started browsing here the last few years thinks this is how Yea Forums is.
this is one of the things that bothers me the most. Now some kids get on see the other newfags claiming that this is how Yea Forums simply is and stamp their feet because big bwuddah user can't be wrong since he called them a fag
youtube.com
This is now a music thread too because why not?
I could go for some good calm music. Other than ambient trance i just listen to recordings of rain/wind/ocean waves. I think having voices ruins it for me if i'm trying to really relax.
basically this
youtube.com
Did you say trance music? It's a good thing I'm tripping all the balls on acid right now
this one got me hard
Serene
That was pretty enjoyable. About to put on more trance
Just listen to some lofi hip hop
House on the Rock. Nice.
Offer to have sex with her in exchange for getting to stay.
Ah, ya beat me to it! That was going to be my next post lol

thats a wacky house, where from??
Sorry. No clue, buddy

Some OC of Northern Cali
this is one of my favorites. I dont even really know why. Just seems so nice to lay there and read listening to the soft rain.
what and where is this??? vertical garden apartment sounds glorious.
Don't know. I found it on on a comfy papes thread on /wg/.
This has been a nice thread, anons. Will share some OC I took in Ireland and a few from last winter around my place.

This is fucking glorious. Where??????
Thank you! These were taken in Seattle.
Didn't know you fags got snow there. Snow and lots of rain makes me want to live there, despite the transnigger pavement-kin bullshit.
Snow is a rare thing. Weather here has been really out of whack for the last year or so, though so it was a sweet chance for pictures. PNW is a great place to live for weather. Some people freak out about how little the sun comes out here, but the rarity makes it easier to appreciate.
This is the same park during different seasons.
>Some people freak out about how little the sun comes out here
Sounds glorious to me. I enjoy the sun occasionally. I'd much rather it be raining, cloudy, storming, snowing, etc. than mostly sunny.
ello bois
Same. It's also true my profession keeps me out of the elements on most days so I can afford to prefer shitty weather conditions, heh.
henlo where am this?
amazing
love the rainy sleety shit
OP here. thanks for the thread guys. after a few glasses of hard cider and a smoke I've decided fuck it. It's for the best and it's exactly what I need.
Been too stagnant and bored here sitting around every day hoping the right job comes up.
Buddy of mine in a different, larger city says he's able to hook me up with a place to stay long term and got a few people in that town wanting to catch up for a beer.
Thanks again, anons. This glass is for you.
Sounds good. I'm about to make a big change myself. Hope it works well for you. I'll keep popping into late night Yea Forums cozy/comfy/relax threads.
I know exactly where that is. That's Kyoto, right?
Wishing both of you anons best of luck. Similarly about to make a jump. Forwards! Always forwards.
Fuck to the front!
What the fuck this is comfy as fuck
Hnnnng
Bump
Somewhere in Belgium maybe bruges
Yesssss
It's foggy af this morning. I'm just sitting on the porch, sipping coffee, enjoying the cozy ground cloud blanket.
