I was asking because I've played this shit quite a bit in the late 80's, I was wondering if it was still a thing, or just some ghost subculture domain.

Been popularized, had a big kickstarter. Pathfinder 2 is trying to grab some marketshare. Lots of online platforms

RPGs are more popular than ever. DnD is still the biggest one, but there's a shitton of other games out, and kind of a revival of old school mechanics etc. Go to any local game store and you'll see a wide mix of people browsing the RPG-section

DnD is Fucking rad. I resisted for years then became a DM (because if you are gonna fuck, you might as well fuck HARD!). Never looked back.
