I'm confused, how is working for a private train company a "voluntary" job? I applied and wasn't able to get in, they never called me for an interview. Doesn't seem very easy to get in at all. And why would you see any combat? Them train pirates raiding the train for all its goodies? I also don't see anyone worshipping train conductors or any workers on the subways. Also how is the government paying them for the rest of their lives? Its a private industry. You make no sense.

it's not really physically demanding or anything, and for the most part it isn't mentally demanding. your chances of being killed are non existent, it's just that all of it is kind of boring and menial. You get paid a lot and get amazing benefits for even simply working around the train industry, but if you're a conductor, what are you going to do with that money? you do nothing but look at controls, answer people, and sit for hours on end doing nothing. you can't bring your phone with you or any electronics that aren't specifically for the job. your phone has to be out of the cab entirely, or else. people who fly planes can often get away with having their phone out, but not conductors. ever go to college or done something like serve your country for a year? you know how it feels like one long stretch? imagine that except for 25 years straight, nothing happens and it's all a blur, then suddenly you stop and retire with all the money in the world. was it worth it? was it worth putting all that time in wasting the best years of your life just to get some greens? you never saw your family and they could only really interact with you as if you were a piggy bank that paid bills. daddy isn't home, he's never home. he's always working. your kids practically think you're a stranger, and it feels like you're looking at a stranger whenever you look in the mirror. you don't have friends, a family, or a life. what do you do with the rest of your days? you do have a gun and one bullet though
