Dont know dont care

fair

he seems promising

He used to make sense, but lately he's gone full retard.

Nah. Tulsi for president.

He's doing what every other presidential candidate does to get elected: make a bunch of empty promises. He's appealing to the poorest and least educated group of Americans, and it's really not a bad strategy, because it will get the people who usually don't vote off their asses and in the polls. His plan is socialism, and socialism has never been successful.

Chink.

For a short period of time I thought the memes were on the side of yang, I wonder where they all went

Attached: Yang-Gang-Meme-4.jpg (794x715, 96K)

Idiotic. Anyone who actually supports him is either retarded or a full blown idiot. I mean he seemed decently smart in many areas until he opened his mouth about the "freedom act" or whatever the fuck he calls it. He still refuses to admit that his plan (especially since he refuses to cut other forms of social security will cost an additional) 2.5-3.5 TRILLION DOLLARS and all of it is NON-TAXABLE.

Like holy fucking shit, does no one know how bad this is? Seriously?

This guy gets it

from his interview with joe rogan on basic universal income I think he's a hack.

I think he’s gonna clutch the primary or atleast be a close 2nd he’s an outsider. But he’ll be crushed by trump. Trump has 2020 in the bag

Oh please, if Trump felt like declaring war on Iran or North Korea, we'd find the extra trillions for it in a heartbeat. Doing it for social programs is far better

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 90K)

>robert kiyosaki motherfucker
> finds out he's actually a loser
> can't hack it in the real world of politics

You give me 1k you say? What's the catch

Chink needs to keep his opinion to himself just like the Muslims.

HEY WHITE BOI YOU WAN THOUSAN DORRA?

Seriously though his flagship proposal is just marketed so fucking poorly that it's perceived as socialistic in a race full of lunatic socialists. He has no chance now or ever.

If he was redpilled on lgbt rights, marijuana use, decriminalizing opioids, making DC a state, gun laws, and cop cameras, he’d be the best damn president this country ever had

He's got my vote. His policies are based on actual data and make sense to the non-retarded. If the dude can unite a YouTube comment section, he can unite a country. And he's doing it by talking about big ideas and without resorting to shitting on other candidates or identity politics. The dude started his campaign to get people talking about UBI and had no expectations of getting this far and his base keeps growing. He's even got Elon Musk's endorsement now. It's an entertaining campaign to follow.

Basic gurren laggan neetbux sounds like he's trying to take care of you before it all goes to shit.

The rich are tired of taking your money. A little socialism won't hurt.

Cops shouldn’t have cameras in my opinion
>>blacks stopping being apes and you won’t get shot
>> body cameras fucked me on a traffic stop

What about a Tulsi/Yang ticket?

Just hand it over to trump basically. Tulsi is trash

not the same guy, i would check that ticket in a heartbeat

The sad thing is, that's the most sane combo. Everyone else is pants-on-head retarded.

I have to admit, seeing Tulsi wreck Kamala Harris' campaign during the debate gave me a hearty chubby.

Okay first of all don't make comparisons because I hate Trump and I hate military spending.

Second, do you really think we could find those trillions? Give me one example where we've done so? The vietnam war which is one of (if not the most) expensive and bloody war we fought maybe second to the civil war. You want to know how much it costs us on war efforts? Less than todays worth of a trillion dollars for an 8 year war. And that led to a deficit which actually put us into a severe economic crisis not even 10 years later.

So really? We just have the money laying around. A vast majority of our budget is alteady social systems. Unlike our theory of "just shift the money around" wont work. The best we can do is borrow maybe nearly a third of the budget if we COMPLETELY removed the military, sold off all the equipment, lots, got rid of personnel, and stoped paying all military benefits tomorrow.

We would effectively need to double all taxes that come in. And for what? Severe inflation?

Why do people keep supporting these broken social safety systems when not only do they not work but any basic understanding of micro and macro economics would prove they are unstable and inefficient. Ruin the economy to help a few poor people who more than likely are there because they refuse to help themselves. How about YOU feed and house them and leave me out of it? I'd rather the entire country not get dragged into the ground to support your hypocritical moral system.

i think Yang is a pretty cool guy. eh polytics and doesn't afraid of anything.

A candidate for people who can't do math.

explain

well then what’s the solution

I applaud him for being the only democrat who is willing to call out and slam antifa for their horseshit. But also he went and did the basic leftist race pandering by saying all the time he’s an Asian man who likes math so he should be elected

I think you’re OK but you need to speak up more at debates. Not like you have a chance anyway though. Sorry.

>refuses to cut other forms of social security
This is why I will never support UBI in America. The idea is to replace gibs with something fair for everyone. But it’s really just going to be more gibs

Not him but the fact that we would waste trillions on some other stupid shit we can’t afford doesn’t mean we should also waste it on this shit we can’t afford.
is right

Attached: Alaska Permanent Fund.jpg (2268x1312, 614K)

The money has to come from somewhere. If you take it from the people who actually produce goods and services then they will have to raise the price if those goods and services to cover their costs. When prices go up the things you can buy with $1000 a month go down. If everyone is given $1000 a month prices will go up so much that in the end they would have been better off if you had given them nothing.

He's a Democrat, so he's just another crazy liberal controlled by the SJWs.

Attached: image.jpg (410x410, 32K)

Thats Jackie Chan, nice try OP

I agree that the guy doesn’t understand economics. But the 0.1% actually make their money off capital much more than actual economic productivity. How will taxing jeff bezos raise the cost of goods on amazon?

>because reduction of profit margin by negligible amounts isn't fair to the 1%

makes sense, i myself mainly admire the fact that he seems to have an idea of what the future holds when it comes to ai and jobs. at least he’s logically thinking foreword.

we need another NIGGER in office

>vote ror me whitu piggu i rill gib u 1000 dorrar.

hey that is not politically correct. please delete your comment

Yes. I like that he’s not afraid to think outside the box and look at data. A lot of his suggestions are good. But he’s way over his head. He’s basically sitting in an armchair daydreaming policies with his bros

Ok I'm on a fool's errand because like I said about Yang supporters being bad at math.

There are 3.27 million people in the top 1%. There average income is 1.32 million per year. If you took 100% of their income you *MIGHT* have enough to pay for 1 year of UBI. But how long do you think that woukd last? How long before they just up and left the country or found a bunch of tax loopholes or just quit working? Then what?

Its an oil dividend and they cut taxes and instead gave money as a dividend. Also last I checked its about 1600 A YEAR. It dramatically changes and doesnt hold value for long.

Tripped ideas but innovative. I think his voice should be heard. I'm still for Biden though.

fool's a fuckin retard

He’s replacing welfare with UBI. He has said that multiple times

this is why conversation is important lol

Lol ok, yeah a democrat abolishing the welfare state in its entirety. Dumbass

You’re worse at math than Yang. Assuming even underage kids and illegals get UBI, that’s 350 billion per year. According to your stats the 1% have a combined annual income of 4.3 trillion. So even a 10% tax increase on JUST them would cover it. Now that’s obviously a big jump, but a 45% marginal tax rate isn’t crazy by any measure.
Did you not run any numbers at all before posting?

Shit I fucked up. Forgot to multiply by 12 months. You’re right.
Though if he eliminates other social programs that’s a huge savings. And if the taxes were spread over the top 20% it’s lot more feasible.

He’s said that but it will NEVER happen. What about the poor children.

Google it. Population of the US 327 million. Average income of the 1% 1.3 million.

$350 billion / $12000 per year = 29 million recipients. How is that 'Universal'?

Likely “fake crying” ended it.

this

YANG for President!
Yang is the future

He's highly intelligent, a real guy not a politician, her earned his place in life not some born billionaire.

As robots replace all of our labor over the next 50 years a freedom dividend will become the way of life. lets embrace the future now. Yang for President. It's the only logical choice.

Pull the numbers out of any orifice you like. They won't get any better. Not even changing who gets taxed helps all that much because the top 20% average a whole lot less than the top 1%

Ended Muskie in 1972. I don't know though, after asshole Trump, maybe anything goes.

U wot m8?
350 mil x 12k = 4.2 trillion dollars per year to give UBI to everyone.

Assuming only adult citizens get the UBI you’re still talking like 300 million people. X $12000/year is on the order of 3.5 trillion.

For comparison, total federal revenues are about 3.5 trillion, of which income tax is about half. So to pay for UBI you’d need to about triple everyone’s tax rates. Or find some other way to double US revenue.

Ignorant just as any other democrat, but with an asian flair.

That's not Andrew Yang, that's Jackie Chan

Asian flair?

Attached: Jap school schedule.png (1246x1558, 474K)

I'll take a $4.2 trillion UBI, but not a penny less.

Attached: IMG_9575.jpg (570x458, 67K)

1000 a month is way less than minimum wage, and they wanted 15

UBI and minimum wage are two separate things

This i would vote for a Jew or a Muslim before an Asian

How would we pay for the Freedom Dividend?

It would be easier than you might think. Andrew proposes funding the Freedom Dividend by consolidating some welfare programs and implementing a Value-Added Tax (VAT) of 10%. Current welfare and social program beneficiaries would be given a choice between their current benefits or $1,000 cash unconditionally – most would prefer cash with no restriction.

A Value-Added Tax (VAT) is a tax on the production of goods or services a business produces. It is a fair tax and it makes it much harder for large corporations, who are experts at hiding profits and income, to avoid paying their fair share. A VAT is nothing new. 160 out of 193 countries in the world already have a Value-Added Tax or something similar, including all of Europe which has an average VAT of 20 percent.

The means to pay for the Freedom Dividend will come from 4 sources:

1. Current spending. We currently spend between $500 and $600 billion a year on welfare programs, food stamps, disability and the like. This reduces the cost of the Freedom Dividend because people already receiving benefits would have a choice but would be ineligible to receive the full $1,000 in addition to current benefits.

Additionally, we currently spend over one trillion dollars on health care, incarceration, homelessness services and the like. We would save $100 – 200+ billion as people would take better care of themselves and avoid the emergency room, jail, and the street and would generally be more functional. The Freedom Dividend would pay for itself by helping people avoid our institutions, which is when our costs shoot up. Some studies have shown that $1 to a poor parent will result in as much as $7 in cost-savings and economic growth.

say you're currently making 1200 a month on disability and can't work. Yang would raise your living cost with a huge VAT so that people better off than you can get almost that much for nothing.
It's also incredibly easy for republicans to fuck with. They can only incrementally unravel our social saftey net because there'll be pushback, and any one thing they strip away wont cause too much damage, but this dividend could be axed or lowered by a single bill and then tons of people get fucked over.
I don't like him on guns, but I'm more pro gun than most republicans

2. A VAT. Our economy is now incredibly vast at $19 trillion, up $4 trillion in the last 10 years alone. A VAT at half the European level would generate $800 billion in new revenue. A VAT will become more and more important as technology improves because you cannot collect income tax from robots or software.

3. New revenue. Putting money into the hands of American consumers would grow the economy. The Roosevelt Institute projected that the economy would grow by approximately $2.5 trillion and create 4.6 million new jobs. This would generate approximately $800 – 900 billion in new revenue from economic growth and activity.

4. Taxes on top earners and pollution. By removing the Social Security cap, implementing a financial transactions tax, and ending the favorable tax treatment for capital gains/carried interest, we can decrease financial speculation while also funding the Freedom Dividend. We can add to that a carbon fee that will be partially dedicated to funding the Freedom Dividend, making up the remaining balance required to cover the cost of this program.

What are the benefits of the Freedom Dividend?

The Freedom Dividend would transform society in many positive ways and evidence shows this. Trials of various UBI plans have led to all kinds of benefits—some expected, some surprising. Here are just a few of them:

UBI encourages people to find work. Many current welfare programs take away benefits when recipients find work, sometimes leaving them financially worse off than before they were employed. UBI is for all adults, regardless of employment status, so recipients are free to seek additional income, which most everyone does.
UBI reduces bureaucracy—with no-strings-attached coverage, determining who is eligible is far simpler and the cost of administering benefits is greatly reduced.

UBI increases bargaining power for workers because a guaranteed, unconditional income gives them leverage to say no to exploitative wages and abusive working conditions. Employers can’t push workers around as much.
UBI increases entrepreneurship because it provides for basic needs in the early lean days of a company and acts as a safety net if the business fails. It also gives you more consumers to sell to because everyone has more disposable income. The Roosevelt Institute found that a UBI would create 4.6 million jobs and grow the economy by 12 percent continuously. UBI would be the greatest catalyst for new jobs, entrepreneurship, and creativity we have ever seen.
UBI improves the mental health of recipients because it reduces conditions of scarcity, poverty, and financial insecurity, major sources of stress for millions of people.

UBI helps people make smarter decisions. Studies have shown that people in straits of economic insecurity have a reduced cognitive ability equal to 13 IQ points. UBI would provide the security people need to focus on important things like their families.
UBI improves physical health. With increased economic security, people are less prone to stresses, disease, and self-destructive behavior. A UBI experiment in Canada saw hospitalization rates go down 8.5%.
UBI increases art production, nonprofit work and caring for loved ones because it provides a supplementary income for those interested in labor that isn’t supported by the market.

UBI improves labor market efficiency because fewer workers are stuck in jobs that are a bad fit. National productivity will improve because people will be able to seek work that is more rewarding and promote higher job satisfaction.
UBI improves relationships by reducing domestic violence, child abuse, financial stresses, and sources of conflict. It ensures that everyone has an optimistic sense of his or her own future and has the mobility to get out of abusive relationships.

It’s amazing what a steady source of money can do to transform people’s lives. We can experience it here in America if we adopt the Freedom Dividend; we are the wealthiest and most technologically advanced society in human history. It’s time to invest in our people.

Imagine your life and that of everyone you know with an extra $1,000 per month – how would you spend it? How would things change?

The VAT is a horrible scam. It's basically a way to hide a huge sales tax through complexity. So you end up with an insane sale tax, but you only have to pay a tiny bit of it directly, and the rest is foisted on all the steps involved in producing the product and bringing it to market, and then it goes up even higher because every step of the supply chain has to deal with all that complexity.

It's also a sales tax, the most regressive of all taxes, so it's always hilarious to hear Democrats support it.

Delusional gook faggot.

So there ya go, that is the truth of the matter and you can educate your damn self.

Yang is the best candidate running.

Yang is supported by Elon Musk even. Its very likely he wins according to more than a few tech investors.

Start planning for it now, he will be the next pres, sit for 2 terms, and generally improve the lives of most Americans by focusing our country on technology.

This is not what I want necessarily but it is what will happen. Screencap this and frame it.

take x from taxpayers
x-y government cut, which they always take
=z given back to only certain people, one more handout to buy votes
no thank you

he'll never because:

1. he's a chink

and that's it

I just dont understand why its non taxable. If it was taxable, then it would proportionally benefit lower income earners more.

I think its an interesting theory, its still pro capitalism but its setting the income minimum above zero. It will have consequences, much like minimum wage, like it will certainly drive inflation. But I think most people agree that in spite of the consequences minimum wage serves a function and is necessary. I would like to see the idea of minimum base income play out and see the pros and cons.

>Screencap this and frame it.
You're a delusional Maopologist faggot.

>>Current welfare and social program beneficiaries would be given a choice between their current benefits or $1,000 cash unconditionally – most would prefer cash with no restriction.

This assumes rationality/fiscal responsibility and it requires the government to take a "too bad" attitude towards minorities and children which it won't. What happens when the majority blow their money on drugs and they and their children are wandering homeless & starving?

So are you arguing a UBI would be prefferable to programs which take the y, or that UBI is just another one of those?

10% VAT would mean your living cost will rise around 10% when you buy shit like electronics, plane tickets, clothings ( Yang's VAT excludes common consumer goods like groceries)

So in order to lose money with Freedom dividend you would have to spend $10,000 a month on goods. (10% VAT makes it $11,000 and you get FD so total spending becomes $10,000). 90% of Americans spend less than that so they end up in the winner bracket.

Winners of FD are
- People who spend less than $10,000 a month currently (Bottom 90%)
- People with SSD

Losers of FD are
- People who spend more than $10,000 a month (Top 10%)

different fag here

UBI would supplant every welfare program we currently have, except pensions

I agree with you on the proposed benefits but the numbers absolutely do not add up. He’s only really explained 800 bn from the VAT and 500 bn in reallocation between welfare and UBI. He’s missing 2.2 trillion. That’s going to come from speculative growth and pollution taxes? Pollution taxes won’t contract industrial growth? Hardly data driven.

Also VAT is regressive (poor people spend a greater percentage of their income). And it has the transparency problems mentioned here

Yang mentioned that the UBI is an "Opt-In" type of program wherein you give up other welfare services in exchange for it, so it's just pretty much diverted.

In addition to taxing the 1%, and assuming the government manages to pull it off even barely as cleanly as advertised, it still seems feasible

Economy is not just input and output. Pumping money into local communities increases buying power of working class which means businesses prosper.

Attached: file.png (1200x628, 1.03M)

Also Elon Musk is a foreigner and a con man (he has a long track record of over promising). Musk has zero understanding of politics or macroeconomics. So why exactly is his endorsement significant?
Trump was endorsed by Kanye and Don King! Zomg

Also hes talking about pairing it with tax reform, adding a "value added tax" to the corporate tax structure. It is an effort to make a proactive response to a major industry shift that is about to have an impact on our lives in a big way. I don't think the right solution is to sit back and do nothing and hope the market sorts itself out. I don't hold the belief that completely unregulated free markets will somehow always lead to a perfect economic utopia. There's a balance.

UBI is proven to increase people's mental health and physical health. Keeps people off of sucking tax money on prison and emergency care which is actually a great deal of money.
See

Based. Plus eliminating free healthcare for the poor (ie show up at a hospital and never pay your bills).

Attached: y72awxcapj2z.jpg (480x391, 26K)

No, because if you're on disability, then you don't get 1000 dollars on top of your check, so you have the same amount of money, but now have to pay what amounts to a national sales tax. People who get more than 1k a month in benifits are losers.

For proposing the VAT alone, we should figure out a way to make him an enemy of the Clinton Foundation

>>welfare programs take away benefits when recipients find work, sometimes leaving them financially worse off than before

I agree with this but this problem could also by countered by having more graduated cut-offs than the cliff-like cut-offs currently in place. There are lots of ways you could remedy welfare state but unfortunately its politically advantageous having a dependent underclass whose votes are based on benefits and promises of more.

bullshit. name any entitlement that has ever ever been repealed

just another welfare giveaway to buy votes and keep the populace dependent on government

To be specific. Its stacked for SSDI but not SSI.

"SSDI is based on earned work credits. SSI is a means-tested program. You can collect both SSDI and the Freedom Dividend. "

Not many disabled people earn $1000 a month on purely SSI. Usually its SSDI and SSI combined.

They dont have to repeal the programs.
Yang's plan that people opt into the UBI and give up their benifits in return for not being on other programs will naturally cause those programs to shrink and the amount of money they are paying out to decrease.

You are correct about cliffs. High quality post. However even if you eliminate cliffs, the phase out will still be functionally equivalent to a higher marginal tax rate. The poorest single mothers now get like 60,000. If you phase out dollar for dollar obviously you’re better off sitting on your ass unless you can land a 60k job (lol). If you phase out at half that it’s still a 50% marginal tax rate, plus it means people up to 120k would be getting the benefit. The real problem is that we just give too many handouts to phase it out any other way.

They happen extremely rarely. First time home buyer credit is one example. Longer unemployment benefits during the recession is another.
There are more if you count tax deductions as benefits (which you should).

I mean I agree with you that it won’t happen. But it could

Again. They are opting out of programs that are used to keep them fed, housed & clothed for free cash. What happens when they decide not to use that cash for food and housing?

idk man maybe theres a chance that you are uneducated in economics than Elon Musk or Andrew Yang - or any sillicon valley CEOs. Have you thought about that?

That’s a very good idea actually and politically doable. But what about the summary problem? Also the lefties are going to say that it’s unfair to force poor single moms of color to choose between the freedom dividend and their existing benefits. They need both. And it’s only a small number of people blah blah blah

I think Yang's appeal is more in the willingness to take on these grand ideas and try to change the systematic failures that need to be address - it's not so much in the minutia of the actual details.

He's a break from the incrementalism and a step towards an overall of the fundamental order

>a VAT is rather stupid if the point is to help the poor though
>focus on capital gains and corporate taxes instead

This right here. "Impoverished" single mother getting $60k. Raised entire family, paid off student loans of 2 people and paid off mortgage with

I’m honestly impressed at the level of mathematical and economic literacy in this thread.
I am also surprised that the yang gang seems not to understand economics and is getting their asses kicked by logic in here.
I mean none of this sarcastically or ironically.

I also agree with

>His plan is socialism
Only if you use the retard's definition of socialism. Is it public/state ownership of the means of production and distribution of goods? No? Then it's not socialism.

Welfare is not socialism, it is a necessary correction to the inherent flaws of capitalism, and it doesn't exist in socialist economies. Public goods are not socialism. So nothing Yang is proposing is socialism.

Are you really a single mother? Tell us your story. How did you get out? How did you get a mortgage? What’s your thought on the existing welfare system?

gibs 1000 dollars pls

But its the details that count. Anyone can make pie-eyed proposals. Part of what led to these systematic failures is tied to personal responsibility and the concept of personal responsibility is taboo in our political culture.

Unless you spend more than $10000 in a month in consumer goods already, you end up in positive. So single mother getting $60k will end up in net positive.

I mean this is true, but there's a literal zero percent chance that...

>he'll get the nomination
>beat Trump in the general
>and then have a sufficiently progressive Democratic Senate and House to pass these ideas

So it's more about introducing the ideas and hoping they latch onto the public consciousness

It gives you the choice of the dividend, or your other govt gibs. You don't get both. It would reduce costs of other gibs by 1.2 trillion, and the rest of the funding comes from VATs, taxing companies that currently pay no taxes, both in the US and out. It's a solid plan, as far as the math is concerned.

You misread. Nuclear family, entire family manages with

He has ambitious and no chance in hell in any of them happening financially pretty much like every other (rich, I might add) Democrat candidate to be.

I'm more interested in terms limits for Supreme Court Justices, Senate, and the House. No more voting for their your own raises and have them linked to approval ratings. No more holding the country hostage to one ideology until a SCJ dies.
The same as above, including the president, should be prohibited from other income such as books, public speaking fees, etc.
No company should be allowed to contribute to a candidate or holder of public office. Individual contributions should also be prohibited and all accounting information should be public for said office holders. Instead candidates should be given the same (equal) amount of free press or opportunities to share their vision. This eliminates the bullshit rich limitation from people whom has millions or assholes like Bloomberg that inject their self righteous cunt into politics.

TBH if he gets 10% of trump voters by appealing to working class, its more than enough to win. Lefties will never vote for drumpf.

No trump voters will vote for crazy bernie or uncle joe though. Outsider like Yang actually has higher chance to win I think.

LMAO what a fucking cry baby joke.

Why don't we call it the GibsMe Dividend. At least the gook could honest.

Russian faggot detected
Go eat Putin's cum

So other than getting votes from people whose vote is bought with bennies, what good is any proposal that is doomed from the start because people are too afraid to address the issues that need to be addressed to honestly have it have a chance of working?

fuckable

I dont think that many of them would, but then again it only takes a few sob stories for the outrage mob to get mobilized. If that were to happen, yang could veto attempts to expand the welfare state and most democrats who are happy with their 1000 dollars will reelect him despite the handful of screeching ideologues. The universality of the program will shut up better off would be dissenters, because if the party doesnt stay united, then Hey i might lose my thousand dollars a month.

Yang will not be the dem nominee, or likely even close. But he could possibly beat Trump, if he did. He has none of the baggage oc the other dems, he is more likable, and can talk policy directly using complete sentences. He'd hit Trump where it hurts, in the swing states. But it won't be allowed to happen

Term limits are good. I'd be fine with fixing their salary the first time they're elected too.
The rest of your ideas are moronic.

I actually think he'd have a good chance to win in the general too...

But winning the Democratic nomination with his very niche - and importantly very non-black - coalition is next to impossible

this.
why are we arguing about the policy of a man who will never be president. Three years down the line he might be posting ama's on Yea Forums like that one freak.

Yeah, that’s pretty much why I’d vote for him.
He’s the only democratic candidate who’s approaching things from a rational standpoint, using logic and data - not identity politics. The fact he’s not a career politician is a huge plus. He’s said before he doesn’t swing left or right, he’s a problem solver and in favour of whatever works.
Who else is taking about job loss due to automation? This will be a massive problem in the coming years.

I mean the hope is that ideas (like UBI) will be introduced into the political mainstream and slowly grow support, and maybe at some point be a policy that the Dems place on their platform

Fuck, I thought we wiped out the gooks back in '65.

The reason SCJ are appointed for life is to free them from having to be beholden to a political party. Short appointments will make situation worse. Would be better to have rules that disqualify politically active judges from appointment. Far more damaging right now are the federal judges

Totally agree that businesses, unions or any corporate / political entity shouldn't be allowed to donate

Different user, but to prevent court stacking the SCJ terms would have to 12 to 20 years long. That won't make the situation worse.

i'm not racist or anything, but i thought his firstname was yin for the whole time

Why the fuck does anyone think this guy is doing a good thing by giving us $1000/month? Maybe he should cut back government spending so that our taxes come out to $1000/month/citizen less instead of controlling our money just for the sake of it

Then your expectations are not aligned with reality. The majority of them would take the money and the majority of these would spend this money on drugs and luxury items. Many of the security measures related to government benefits are there to prevent recipients from exchanging those benefits for money at a loss. While it is true that some people get trapped into the system (there are stories of people getting benefits jeopardized by trying to save money) and the system is designed to trap them further (when banks were allowed to refuse to cash welfare checks and the subsequent bloom of check cashing companies that essentially thrived off of obscene percentages from welfare checks), many generational welfare recipients see welfare as a right and not a gift. There would be thousands of sob stories and dozens of politicians relying on those "sobbing" people to get reelected.

Too bad America is too spoiled to change to the better. And powerful people profit much more from chaos and misery. Yang will not make it to nomination because (((they))) dont want ALL of America to prosper.

i mean they've been stealing every technological and industrial secret we've had for the last 60yrs and we've done fuck all about it.

western seaboard for both america and canada is pretty much owned by them and they're making huge inroads to our mind control industry (Hollywood).

why not put one in charge by choice? it's gunna happen whether you want it to or not.

I voted Trump in 2016, and now I've switched to supporting Yang

You would have to make it long enough and have rules that a former SCJ was fully retired. Otherwise they'd all be using judge position to angle for positions post judgeship.

Congratulations, you've proved yourself an idiot twice over

With that much lag time, who cares?

Thanks bro

Is this why the western seaboard is thriving in economics? Do you think rednecks hillbillies invent all the hightech?

That's what I'm saying. If the lag is to be effective you might as well have it for life, otherwise short appointments will make politicizing of judges far worse.

Personally, I like his policy proposals and his enthusiasm behind them, however I can't imagine him getting something like the freedom dividend through without unbelievable backlash. I don't think that a VAT would be world ending, but idk, it might be armageddon for some. I like his ideas, but I'm not sure if he'll have the external support needed to flesh them out if he makes it to the office. I hope he can further explain his plans in greater detail in the next debate, because he has essentially been repeating himself throughout all of his interviews.

he is a pussy

He would get Trump to call him a chink, would be funny

But hes a chink? America is white!

>DRUMPF IS RASCIST X(

I'm white so I like Trump, my races candidate

A white president for white america! My sibling cleetus works in a tech lab in silicon valley. Hes making our future cool gadgets. Im so proud of him, ya hear me cleetus mom miss you. She pregnant again we will soon have our 7th sister!

Still mad she lost?

Worst than Hilary and Trump could ever be if you combine the worst of both o them KYS if you think about voting for him

Vote Yang so he can order to build concentration camps on american soil for the white trash. Better yet, build extermination camps for all the rednecks opioid fuckups unproductive scum

KIKE DETECTED

>he thinks the president can just order his largely white populace to build their own death camps

bernie is better.

>How would we pay for the Freedom Dividend?
>Tax and spend, of course... just what this debt-ridden country needs: MORE taxing and MORE spending...

Useless candidate. They want a PoC woman to lose to Trump, for maximum martyrdom and IDpol talking points.
Also,

Does anyone actually think a ching chong will ever be president? If so, really?

>It would be easier than you might think.
No, it's not that easy... That's why we aren't already doing this to solve the existing deficit gap.

samefag

We cannot BORROW and SPEND our way to prosperity.

No country in the history of the world has been able to BORROW indefinitely.

Bailing out failed banks seemed like the right thing to do at the time... but it's becoming apparent that nothing was "saved" and nothing was "solved"... As time passes the distortions created by a centrally planned economy become more apparent, as assets continuously inflate and the country becomes mired in debt, it also becomes less and less competitive with the rest of the world. Additionally, the increased risk from our massively increased national debt calls into question the overall solvency of the currency, and we are already seeing other countries (our lenders) begin to move away from the US dollar as the world's reserve currency.

The longer we keep kicking the can down the road, the longer we delay the impending recession, the more painful and prolonged the correction will be. A recession is needed to allow the economy to cure inefficiencies and return to equilibrium. We need the Federal Reserve to stop printing money and allow interest rates to naturally rise. Rising rates will discourage reckless borrowing and spending, and encourage savings and capital investments.

There is a lot of short term pain down the road to curing the economy. Good luck getting votes for that...

Neither the Democrats nor the Republicans have a solution for this. All they can do is keep borrowing and spending, to keep delaying the inevitable. However, the time is rapidly approaching when this will no longer be an option.

Once the crisis of confidence peaks, and the dollar loses its international reserve currency status... it's game over.

you don't understand shit, my man.

Nah i can guarantee you that. Chinks have no place and no role in our agenda. Chinks dont make good puppets

>Second, do you really think we could find those trillions?

We can't. Otherwise we would already be spending it. The only option is for the government to "create" more money.

Look at this fucking moron. Did school let out early?

Welfare IS socialism, you moron. The welfare state hurt black families more than any capitalist or racist ever did.

>Bailing out failed banks seemed like the right thing to do at the time
No, it didn't. We knew from experience (Harding) that if you just ignore the downturn, the pain will be over quickly. We also knew from experience that if you kept spending and playing with money (FDR), then the downturn will persist indefinitely (the Great Depression didn't really end until WW2).

A $20 investment for a $12,000/year return? Pretty smart move, user.

You're assuming the creators and supporters of the welfare state aren't the real racists
>Protip: They are

Spoken like a cuck Dem

You are either a shill or have outed yourself as a retard.

Judges and scotus justices do retire and almost never go work as lobbyists or whatever. Usually they work as lawyers or teach or write books. I really don’t think this would be a problem, especially given that the terms would be like 18 years (most proposals) and nominees are about 50 years old.
T. Lawyer

The difference between a 15-20 year term and life is twofold. 1. People hang around who are basically senile. 2. There’s random chance about when someone will die or they time retirement based on the president they like. It’s much more democratic if every president gets 2 judges period. No games, no random deaths.

Nice graphic. But it should be adjusted for inflation and growth. Can someone make one that shows debt or deficit as percentage of gdp?

This is true but to be fair it’s a function of design and incentives. One could imagine welfare systems that hurt the poor less. Europe obviously has many many problems but they didn’t have a welfare addicted poverty system until recent immigration.

>Nice graphic. But it should be adjusted for inflation
It is.

Source?

Ok interesting I don’t see source for that Also inflation isn’t the same as economic growth. GDP has grown much faster than inflation.
Obviously government spending has grown even faster than that (hence the deficits), but I don’t think the graphic controls for that.

I like her a lot too. But I also like Yang. I'd be happy with either.

You're as dumb as they come brother. Full on willfully ignorant. When people say cancer they're taking about you and your ilk.

that's before you factor in the savings of getting rid of welfare programs and revenue from VAT. After that it comes closer to 1.2 trillion.

Yang himself says 800 mil for VAT and 500-600 for moving social programs around. That’s only 1.4 trillion and he’s 2.8 trillion short. Again for comparison TOTAL Tex revenue today is about 1.6 trillion.
