Think of it like voicemail but you also get to see video. You can rapidly send "mail" back and forth so you can actually have a decent conversation. Young people use it show off their whatever, including the *hmm-hmms* yes?

I forgot to mention that the videos expire - another reason why it became popular with the whelps. I don't know what the time limit is on those captures off the top my head either.
That's as much as I understand. It doesn't appeal to me either, I'm not a video person. It's just stupid insofar as people are stupid. But a lot of families actually use it instead of a phone call now. This is what the video phone dream finally emerged to be.
