I have too many sources of inspiration to count, but the primary reason I started is because my brain is weird.
I have very intense case of ADD/ADHD
So I am constantly daydreaming even when I have my meds. Basically I started coming up with fanfics in my head of the hundreds of character I have watched, read, and met irl.
I developed a setting that all of them could fit into, and just got an uncontrollable urge to start writing it down and drawling it.
Basically my mental illness awoke my potential for creativity.

ADD/ADHD is an odd mental illness. You can function just as well or better than a normal person if you have the right mindset.
It just makes more contemplative about life and your place in it. Mabey this is how it meshed with my personality, but I think too deeply about everything. I am always questioning my philosophy, aspirations, and perspective
This led me down a spiral of nihilistic despair that nearly drove me insane to years ago, but I got help and converted to christianity, which has encouraged me to discover mor about myself and improve my character.
I now am in shape, am nearly done with a degree in Biochemistry, and have discovered something am truly passionate about.

That is a question I have myself. I think once I have more experience with romance I will figure that out. Wont be something dealt with until further into the narritive anyway.
