That's why the system should be rebuilt from the ground up. Requiring basic politics and economics to be taught in school. And a standardized test that shows you have a basic understanding of the current climate to be allowed to vote.
Politicians would present their ideas to the public and let them decide.
Voters would recieve information prior to the vote, and statistics on a annual basis; showing what percentages of tax money are being spent in what areas, and so on.
