Are you on medication and if so, what?
what's it like, in a more general sense? i know it's a broad question, but my mom has started tripping balls and i think she's showing symptoms, kek. talking about people planting cameras in the house and shit, listening devices outside the house.. lady is cray cray
>Are you on medication
I am not. I don't even take Tylenol. I strongly dislike all medications.
how many times have you made this thread i know this isnt the first
>what's it like, in a more general sense?
Ever had a dream where you were lost, and you were running from something? The more you run the more distorted the dream becomes? Maybe you start off running through a forest, then you're climbing threw pipes far too small to fit in, climbing in toilets to hide, or some bizarre things along those lines.
That's what it's like.
Minus the dream.
>how many times have you made this thread
This thread? Once. You can tell it's this thread by the original post number. :^)
But, I've been doing this style of thread since like 2014? 2015? Something like that.
well that doesn't sound all too fun, not exactly terrible either though. do you like talk to yourself or anything, see stuff that's not actually there?
>not exactly terrible either though.
Some have it much worse than I do.
>do you like talk to yourself or anything
I do talk to myself, very frequently.
>see stuff that's not actually there?
Yes, but it's pretty rare these days. I used to have visual hallucinations pretty often, though. They've become less frequently as I've gotten older.
hmm, it's been interesting to learn a little more about it. thanks for your time OP, i hope things stay alright for you!
>it's been interesting to learn a little more about it.
Glad I could shed a little light on it for you.
>thanks for your time OP
No problem, user. Take it easy.

What do the numbers mean?
>What do the numbers mean?
Which ones? There are a lot of numbers.
The numbers, Mason, what do they mean?
What made you want to pretend to have this disability?
>The numbers, Mason, what do they mean?
You tell me, upside down Satan.
>What made you want to pretend to have this disability?
So people like you ask me why I do it.

How was your day, OP? also who's the girl in the photos?
Sorry that you suffer this illness, user. What were the warning signs that you were developing it? My uncle is a severely bipolar acute schizophrenic. So, I guess that makes me a generic candidate, and I'm already clinically depressed.
>How was your day, OP?
It's been okay. I had to go to town today to do some shopping, it was horrid and FUCKING hot. But other than that, not bad.
>also who's the girl in the photos?
Open your mouth, user. Here comes the spoon!
Oshino Shinobu from the series Monogatari.
>Sorry that you suffer this illness, user.
Thanks, but there's no need to be sorry. Life is life.
>What were the warning signs that you were developing it?
Paranoia was one my first noticeable symptoms. Every sound set me off, what was that? Is someone outside? Is someone breaking in my house? Every little creak in the house would set me off.
I've seen things since I was very young. Shadows, ghosts, mysterious creatures in trees.
auditory hallucinations. This one needs no explanation.
Those are the symptoms that I've suffered from the most, and were the most notable for me realizing something was wrong.
If you tell someone what you are hallucinating and where it is and they try to interact with it does it get worse?
How do you know if your other personality is in charge? Like what makes you relize "oh shit i dont even remember doong this"?
>If you tell someone what you are hallucinating
I don't do that.
>and they try to interact with it
For that exact reason.
>does it get worse?
Yes.
One thing you should never do is interact with someone's hallucination.
>How do you know if your other personality is in charge?
How do you know when your other personality is? You realize everyone is fundamentally made up of around three personalities?
Ever get impulsive and do something you would never have done? Guess what another one of your personalities took over and did something for you.
>Like what makes you relize
I am pretty sure you've confused Schizophrenia for Dissociative Identity Disorder.

I do not. I'm pretty sure I've never actually heard this before.
The way the singer's voice is distorted though.. That sound...
>Everything is a hallucination that I invite everyone to entertain, engorge, and enjoy.
Everything is not a hallucination.
Everything (that you see) is created in your mind. But, it still exists outside of your mind.
>still making these threads

Get outta here.
Thought so.
not op here, i am schizophrenic too.
You cant associate your thoughts with your own self in psychotic episodes. Do you know the dark thoughts like wishing for some crazy stuff to happen. These are normal and everybody do think about bullshit sometimes, but when you are in a psychotic episode, your thought comes from somewhere/someone else besides you, and this starts to be your inner voice which demands things and all that shit, at least its like this in my case, usually thinking its gods holy spirit telling me something
hello there, again me not op, these dark thoughts also tend to be some sort of vision at the moment when you are psychotic.
you first

>You cant associate your thoughts with your own self in psychotic episodes.
That's a really good way to put it. Almost like someone else has made their way into your head and is thinking for you.
Or you left your head and someone else took over.
>That's the definition of a hallucination
"A hallucination is a perception in the absence of external stimulus that has qualities of real perception."
It is not the definition of a hallucination. What you're defining is perception.
You don't hallucinate your keyboard, as it is literally in front of you. But you do perceive it, and you perception is created in your brain.
The object itself was not created in your mind though, as it exists outside of your mind.
But your perception may only exist in your mind.
*sigh* I wish this topic wasn't so fricative. The problem here is both how it is taught THROUGHOUT your education in life.
Mathematics = Truth via individually verifiable circular arguments OR Let's argue about the number 1!
Engineering = Real world success via iterative process OR Watch me do the thing with the thing!
Science = Hypothetical consensus via grouped repetition OR Watch what happens when I do this everyone!
All the above can be boiled into: {Identity} = [Evaluation]/(Priority)
Identity = What {Thing}
Evaluation = How [Grouped/Communicated]
Priority = Why (Maybe you're being attacked/starving/whatever, you were born so obviously there was stuff that existed 'before Identity')
With that you can make a simply story that any could generate to communicate meaning.

Short: My education is the mainproblem of my bad english, got it.
As dumb as it sounds, here in germany, most people are bad with english, even though we learn it 8 years in school.
The main problem there is, that you need to continously train it, and the only method of doing so in germany is to play online games with english people.
They are called women and they work behind the checkout. Why would I need a computer screen to have a conversation with a female? I only use computers to talk to men, when I'm outside I ONLY EXCLUSIVELY use my female language. Other men are surprisingly suggestible to becoming homosexual.
Education isn't the problem, just that I am the Family Source of English.

I have it all saved with the task of deciphering it later.
I actually have to abandon the thread, I will return in about an hour or two?
If I'm feeling up to it I will make another one.
>how cool is it to have anime lolis talk directly to u
Coolest thing you've never experienced.
>The real SchizOP is dead. He never posts.
He died three years ago. How do you think I got here?
I will return in a few hours.
the fuck you are talking about
When/how did you notice that you are Schizophrenic?
Like did your parents think you were behaving crazy and sent you to the doc?
>I don't have the mental capacity...
God I love throwing scizos into regec and neural nets. Shit makes things cash.
Again not op here, but
My symptoms started when i was 16, very rarely visual halucinations, often auditory, with the time it increased slowly and i got more and more auditory halucinations. Until i had an extremly stressy time doing my graduation, where it started to get worse and worse, i shut in at home, didnt do anything because i was afraid of every thing i did and that it could do butterfly effect-style shit. And not long after my 19th birthday i did some crazy shit that led me to a mental health clinic 600km away from my home.
Change of plans I don't actually have to abandon the thread. I'm back!
>When/how did you notice that you are Schizophrenic?
well my first symptoms showed up when I was about 17? Severe panic attacked induced by paranoia were my first sign that something was wrong. Then I started hearing stuff which made my paranoia worse, then I started having night terrors and visual hallucinations. Then I went to see the crazy doctor and they said my brain was broken. That was when I was probably 20?
>God I love throwing scizos into regec and neural nets.
What does that even mean
I don't see what's up with people thinking hallucinations are not more a neurological disorder than some arbitrary. Like sorry bud. You got bad genes. Here's some pills.
>What does that even mean
Nothing.
>Like sorry bud. You got bad genes. Here's some pills.
No need for pills, you can decide it on your own if you want to take them.
The only things that these wonderpills do is to decrease your dopamin release, so your brain is not as affected by a psychotic episode as usually. It doesnt help always though.
>Nothing.
Good enough for me.

As far as I know, the life expectancy isn't very different from a normal persons. Unless you count suicide, then it may be a bit lower.
I'm not well versed in that part of it though.

This is very important to make your upkeep fairly routine.
bonus: stay ready for the military and hush about your diagnosis and cover it and get an intel job.
the diagnosis only on one paper, and thats it, dunno if they got it in my medical history folder
For the US, they gotcha if your folks had you on miltary healthcare. Best bet under those circumstances would be to get lucky and have a friend who can condition you to look fairly ok and pay a psych for a misdiagnosis.

No, but being awesome does.
Would you say halucinations become more rare because you are growin up?
What is the coolest thing you ve halucinated?
Scariest?
How do you feel about your ilness now? Are you scared about your future?
What is the worst people have done to you?
All kids claim they see shit. How did you understand that you were different and you actually saw shit?
WHat was scary as a young kid?
What is scary today?
For you, the Schizoprenia is a Illness or a SuperPower?
Not op.
My spectrum subcat, I view it as an alternate way of intaking info. It has it's pros and cons, it's appropriate and inappropriate uses.
>Would you say halucinations become more rare because you are growin up?
My visual ones have become more rare.
>What is the coolest thing you ve halucinated?
Hard to say.
>Scariest?
There's a post about that earlier in the thread.
>How do you feel about your ilness now?
Same way I felt about it before I had it.
>Are you scared about your future?
No.
>What is the worst people have done to you?
Not really anything. I avoid people habitually.
>How did you understand that you were different and you actually saw shit?
I didn't at the time. Only after I'd grown up did I notice that it wasn't normal.
>WHat was scary as a young kid?
Mostly just ghosts and shit like that. Demons, black creatures.
>What is scary today?
Not much.
>For you, the Schizoprenia is a Illness or a SuperPower?
It's a bit of both. Depends on the day.
Why does my schizophrenic gf act like she's 16 still when she's a grown adult? Or is she just retarded?
All wamyn r schizos
I'm also schizophrenic, what's the most common thing your voices say

well, not cool but convinient, i had a feeling/voice sometimes with me, which forces me to do more.

thought i made the third world war happen.
>How do you feel about your ilness now? Are you scared about your future?
yes, its not as scary as when it started, but now i know how to overcome problems, still worried about my dreams and work
>What is the worst people have done to you?
Typical teenage drama
>All kids claim they see shit. How did you understand that you were different and you actually saw shit?
research, more and more puzzle pieces came together
>WHat was scary as a young kid?
darkness, not to see anything was my horror

Nope.
>see you 5 eyewitness news!.

>I think I might be schizophrenic but mild
Chances are if you think you're Schizophrenic, you're not.
But, if you're worried about it seek a medical professional.
>Is it on a spectrum or would I definitely know.
It is a spectrum disorder if I remember correctly.
>Do you even into MKULTRA memes.

One night I had awoken to sleep paralysis and was desperately trying to spas myself off of the bed because there was a blurry white ghost lady molesting me in my sleep. She had a sinister presence and her expressions were ghoulish.
Naturally she made me cummi on mi tummy. Does that count as cool?

Do you ever go into a psychosis where you are constantly in your own world for long periods of time?

Duly noted. Can you sign a guid for your package please?
My brother was diagnosed with schizophrenia about 1 year ago. He has had 2 really bad episodes, but none since December. He is working currently and has been able to finish college. He is not taking medication for schizophrenia, but he is taking Adderall. How can I be a better sister to him? I try to avoid talking about the voices, or is it better to ask him about them? Any advice would be appreciated.
can u control ur hallucinations
>Do you ever go into a psychosis where you are constantly in your own world for long periods of time?
Yes, it does happen. Not super common though. Usually lasts for a few days then I come down. I always have really bad headaches afterwords and my ears ring for days.
>What are your hallucinations about?
Mostly just voices saying nonsense, or talking about whatever's happening. Or just being assholes.
>Has it gotten less common
Visual hallucinations have, yes. Auditory have become more common.
>and more easy to deal with as you have aged?
It's gotten a little bit easier to deal with on the whole. But, that's mostly just because I've adjusted a bit.
>Does it interfere with your life?
Every day.
>Do you realize how much society adores real schizos?
No, I don't interact with society other than on here occasionally.
>Can you sign a guid for your package please?
Yeah here you go.
>How can I be a better sister to him?
That might be something he'd be able to answer better than I could. But as a general rule of thumb, just be supportive. Try to push him outside of his comfort zone a little, try new things with him. Just don't push too hard.
>or is it better to ask him about them?
That's something you'd have to ask him. It's different for everyone.
>can u control ur hallucinations
I cannot.
Suck his wiener
Do you know about the Shinobu Project?
This Get him in good shape, tie your tubes, and take care of him and make him take care of you.
>Do you know about the Shinobu Project?
Never heard of it.
Aww. That's the cutest thing I've seen today.
Thanks for the response! I have tried to ask him about them and encourage him to tell me about them, but he usually just tells me shhhh. He does not like it when I mention his mental health problems and thinks he is fine. Should I push him to accept and understand his diagnosis or leave him be? In general, are the voices always with you or do they come and go? Do you think you ever will be able to have a successful career? My brother used to be very social, but he hasn't been like that since his diagnosis. What is the biggest issue for you, the voices or the lack of ability to socialize in a manner that is "normal"? I've noticed that my brother, who used to be very social, is not like that ever since his first episode. Did something traumatic trigger your first episode? My brother was raped and about a month later he was given a ton of meth by a family member, which triggered his first episode. I think the rape caused his schizophrenia though, and the meth was just what brought it out. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar traumatic incident cause this. Are you involved with NAMI at all? I've been going to their family support groups and I have encouraged my brother to go to their meetings for those who actually have the mental health illness, but since he thinks he isn't sick, I've had no luck. Thanks for your time with reading this.
How do I deal with trying to go into rooms that don't exist in my house? I try to go and check on my roommates cat and I go into another room and realize I haven't lived with them for 12 years and I'm in different place.
It's funny. Because, the cure for a handful of common schizo subtypes is controversial.
>Thanks for the response!
No problem.
>Should I push him to accept and understand his diagnosis or leave him be?
It's probably better not to push him if he resists. You could wind up pushing him to hard and he will wind up withdrawing completely.
>In general, are the voices always with you or do they come and go?
They're pretty much always around. They don't always talk, but they're always there.
>Do you think you ever will be able to have a successful career?
I myself, probably will not.
>What is the biggest issue for you
I wouldn't say there is a single big issue. It's just everything stacked on top of each other.
Hallucinations aren't hard to deal with, but hallucinations, anxiety, paranoia and being mentally drained all stacked up is not easy.
>Did something traumatic trigger your first episode?
Not that I am aware of.
>My brother was raped and about a month later he was given a ton of meth by a family member
Jesus, that's horrible.
>I think the rape caused his schizophrenia though, and the meth was just what brought it out
The meth caused it. I would imagine he was probably young, and meth literally causes you to go into psychosis. If he had a lot of it at a young age there's no doubt in my mind that it was caused by the meth.
>Are you involved with NAMI at all?
Nope, I've looked into some of them around here. But, not my cup of tea.
>but since he thinks he isn't sick, I've had no luck.
Keep trying. You don't have to try every day, but every few months or something just mention it. He'll think about it.
>Thanks for your time with reading this.
Sure thing.
>How do I deal with trying to go into rooms that don't exist in my house?
You'd have to get to the root of what made you want to go into said room.
Why did you want to check on the cat?
What made you think of the cat?
What made you think of the roommate?
You don't have to answer those, but they are questions you should ask yourself. If you can find the root cause of these thoughts, it may help.
>12 years
Why did it have to be 12..
does your schizophrenia make you repost this exact same thread every week for like 2 years?
are you sure you're not just faking your schizophrenia, faggot?
What do you usually see in alucinations? (I'm not schizophrenic but when I was sick I saw hair in my walls)
Not OP but you must be very interested in Yea Forums to remember that.
How are you feeling right now?
>does your schizophrenia make you repost this exact same thread every week for like 2 years?
Considering I haven't made a thread in months, not counting the past couple of days, no.
>are you sure you're not just faking your schizophrenia, faggot?
Why does it matter what I am sure of?
>What do you usually see in alucinations?
They're pretty mild these days. Usually stuff like the walls shaking, or vibrating, lights look really weird, the occasional bug. Nothing to big.
Not opie. But you're a couple short of a trip pack.
>How are you feeling right now?
Nothing.
Are you interested in a specific gender? Are you asexual? Asexual tendencies?
What is your favourite food?
Whats it like? What are your hobbies and interests? How does your schizophrenia affect your life, compared to what you think is a normal person?
Why you keep coming back?
Take it, a lucky amulet
>Are you interested in a specific gender?
Females. No penors pls.
>Are you asexual?
I wouldn't quite say that. Haven't found anyone worth sticking it in.
>What is your favourite food?
Chicken Alfredo.
>Whats it like?
That's a very vague question.
>What are your hobbies and interests?
Vidya mostly. Not much else.
>How does your schizophrenia affect your life, compared to what you think is a normal person?
I don't really know how to answer that. It's very difficult to answer broad questions like that.
>Why you keep coming back?
Same reason everyone else does. There's no getting off this train.
Have you taken notice about shamanism and schizophrenia?
Have you heard about the function of impartial deadlock deciders like a random number generator?
>Have you taken notice about shamanism and schizophrenia?
Nope.
>Have you heard about the function of impartial deadlock deciders like a random number generator?
No idea what that is.
Do you work with the NSA?
You said you haven't found anyone worth sticking it in, but a hole is a hole. It doesn't need to be intended as a life partner. Are you a virgin or have you paid a hooker to relieve you?
Always nice to see a familiar face around here, keep it up.
>Do you work with the NSA
CIA.
You know that white van you saw today?
Yeah.
>but a hole is a hole
Looks like I'll go dig a hole in the yard and stick my dick in there then.
>Are you a virgin
Yep.
>have you paid a hooker to relieve you?
I've no desire to have sex with some random slut.
>Always nice to see a familiar face around here, keep it up.
I'll try.
If I wrote some script to monitor this board for your threads and revealed myself as the same person every time would you suspect me as one of your hallucinations?
Shinobu is a romantic interest or a waifu?
Where do you work? What do you do?
>would you suspect me as one of your hallucinations?
That's quite the leap you've made there, user.
I'd probably think you were just someone who browsed Yea Forums a lot..
>Shinobu is a romantic interest or a waifu?
Waifu.
>Where do you work?
Nowhere.
>What do you do?
You're looking at it.
>I just want to know how to deal with my feelings after so I can be more motivated to develop some coping mechanisms to not go deeper into the delusion when they happen.
No definitive causality whatsoever and this is an example amid many. It comes and goes like a muse. It's not like the things that make me hear the chattering voices and other problem because I'm thinking about this certain thing. Nah, it just WHAM there. Real and in detail. My memories of conversations come about like this, too. I can handle those and I don't get lost in them. But these essentially spatial delusions I do. For the example I gave you I was in this place I lived, I knew it had these features that could and could not see from my viewpoint, and I impulsively got up and tried to do something in it like it was 12 years ago.
Is anyone else in your family schizophrenic or share your interests in lewd 9yo lolis?
Oh, and comes from things throughout my whole life, not just 12 years ago.
>My memories of conversations come about like this, too.
It sort of sounds like you're kind of stuck in the past. Something back then in calling to you from your mind, something you missed, something you regret? Something happened? To you? Or was it to her?
I don't know.
Something makes you get stuck in your memories as if they're happening currently.
>Is anyone else in your family schizophrenic or share your interests in lewd 9yo lolis?
Not that I know of.
>Oh, and comes from things throughout my whole life, not just 12 years ago.
I figured, it's just that number.
I can't stay and read this thread till the end. Bye schizophrenic user.
Have fun with you waifu and please return to make another thread someday.
>I can't stay and read this thread till the end
I'll be going to bed here shortly you won't be missing much.
>Bye schizophrenic user.
Catch you later, user.
>please return to make another thread someday.
I might tomorrow depending on how I feel.
Come back another day OP.
Even if people with mental illness had "normal" lives, would it every not feel like we're all here just wasting time waiting for death?
Yeah no underline cause or stimulation. No set time, locale, or people, or mood for the content of the delusion. Don't even seem like when the chattering voices or other negative things. I don't have regrets, just a too good of a memory, I guess.
Could be worse though. I bet someone else is going though this and is reliving some hell(s) over and over. I must be lucky.
Anyway, thanks for your time. I was just frustrated that this was the one things causing me problems still. Hardly even get the chatters now.
Have a nice day,
