zen is a faggot
Whoever calls people faggots is close to enlightenment
It is stupidly
Faggots
Thanks buddy
FAGGOTS
Thank you, user
Why do you say that, user?
The stories you tell yourself create a "you" which is not true.
The universe and I are of the same root. The myriad things and I are one body. That is zazen.
Zen is not some kind of excitement but concentration on our usual everyday routine.
He who stands on tiptoe doesn't stand firm.
He who rushes ahead doesn't go far.
If you don't expect to find truth right here, right now, where do you expect to find it?
Zen teachings are full of good wisdom but they're not the divine word of God like the Bible is.
Isn't everything God?
Do you have some books for recommendation?
Read some zen koans online. Books make you think too much :)
Phew, my sides! Stop it,you're killing me here...
great starter phase in the Truth studies
>the Truth studies
If you study it, you miss the point
You have been visited by the Laura of not great, not terrible threads.
This thread is currently reading 20 replies (not great, not terrible).
Thank you Laura
God is omnipresent, but that doesn't mean that all of human writing is on the same level as the words of the Holy Spirit as revealed through the prophets.
Or is it just that no writing can encompass the greatness of God, and that he must be experienced directly?
a frog jumps into the water *plop*
Have you finished eating? Clean your bowl.
You're welcome! =^_^=
I have an Asus Zenbook and a Zenfone. Those are great, but that's about it.
It's dangerous to experience God directly. That's why the ancient Hebrews were so terrified of God revealing His face. After Christ establishes the Kingdom of Heaven, then the elect will be spiritually fortified enough to withstand the direct presence of the divine.
I like zen CPU
what do you mean?
I think its dangerous to fear divinity
It's chill like you have everything under control no force can distract or disrupt you, completely focused. At peace
how can it be dangerous?
If you study in search of truth, you will not find it. "If you do not expect to find truth right here, right now, where do you expect to find it?"
You can only find peace when you understand the sound of a single hand clapping
I love God, and I practice opening my heart to His love every day so I can better reflect His divine mercy and compassion. That said, the gospels say that, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom." If you're not at least a little bit terrified of the infinite power of God, you haven't really got a proper conception of what "infinite power" really means.
Can God create a bolder so heavy even he cannot lift it?
Infinite power cannot exist without contradictions, and you cannot let go of contradictions until you realize all is one.
Infinite power? Your god does nothing. Ever.
Man created god.
so the state of contemplation in Truthness is fine? ;)
Have you read The Great Divorce by CS Lewis? God's presence is described as sunlight, which is soaked up by the angels and the saints, but to unsaved visiting souls, each ray of sunlight is as heavy as a stone block. To a saint, the presence of God is a warm vital force, but for someone who rejects the sacrifice of Jesus, the presence of God is as a burning fire which will scorch them.
"By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames."
"The curse of man, and cause of nearly all of his woes, is his stupendous capacity for believing the incredible. The most common of all follies is to believe passionately in the palpably not true. It's the chief occupation of humankind." -- H. L. Mencken
:)
I don't know man, seems you need to contemplate the stuff of the historical christ
checked n' caved
If you see Buddha walking down the road. Kill him
Thank you
Why do my hands look so much like the Buddhas?
Lol, that's the same guy who said that mathematics and probability was hogwash, and that the theory of general relativity was a religious hoax
study the stuff on the historical christ. to face the truth, its a very important step
I don't care what else he might have said, that quote is right on the money. You know that, or you wouldn't be trying to discredit it.
to be fair, that quote is being incredibly dramatic
Here's another of his quotes:
"On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."
I don't know, I think another danger to humanity is the propensity for humans to assume that they can be "above morality" if they just think hard enough. Shit like that led to Nazi human experimentation, Soviet gulags, and Cambodian genocide. I don't see "people going to church" as a top threat to society right now.
Your opinion, not mine. It clearly sums up human stupidity and people don't like the truth even though many say they admire it.
>If you study in search of truth, you will not find it
come on user, zen is pretty much the diametric opposite of the base philosophy in the west, westerns need a rigid start point and clearer path or they end up like those fake yogi influencers. Zen is a tough path to learn because before any actual "learning" can be done we have to first unlearn much of what western culture has instilled in us.
Maybe you should take your head out of your ass and stop being an edgy fag with a false sense of moral and intellectual superiority
As I've said, people don't like the truth.
I don't like you, user. Your "truth" is an opinion dressed up in a false sense of moral superiority and the assumption that most humans are stupid but you aren't because you are euphoric and enlightened by your intelligence
I support you user
Quite honestly, I don't give a damn what you think of me. I look at the religious beliefs, the susceptibility to ridiculous superstition, belief in the paranormal, the need for lying and exaggeration, etc. Shall I continue? This is a partial list list of how I reached my conclusion that humans are indeed a defective species.
>humans are indeed a defective species.
not all of us dude
Lol, I love how quickly it goes from "I am enlightened, I don't need any religion to tell me what morals to hold" to "Humans are a defective species that don't deserve liberty or self-determination."
word hahaha
HA HA HA HA HA HA!!! HA HA HA!
>Why do my hands look so much like the Buddhas?
because I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together
Based Laura
It doesn’t matter what I think. It doesn’t matter what you think.
I'm not entirely sure what zen is, so I don't have a refined opinion of it.
Zen is.
shut the fuck up
No u
Ha ha
That’s strange that ‘Zen is.’ Upset you. You should look into that. That’s not really a rational response
I like it, I like it a lot
whoever realises they too are a faggot, is a master of awakening
>Zen is
is the essence of Zen
The bible is just a brainwashing tool.
Yea, we know that already, and it's not only a religion, look at this vid
youtube.com
The bible is the revealed word of our creator and redeemer
