I've been lucky enough to avoid it. Thought I got it once. Girl had been recently diagnosed and didn't tell me. I used protection. Got some shit on my dick and found out about it from a mutual friend. I was scared and livid. It was my choice and there is always risk despite protection. But I was upset that she knew and didn't tell me. Turns out it was just from shaving, so that was a relief. Point is, people deserve to know what they're getting into and weight their options. It's going to be hard, bit you have to be honest. That said, herpes (of different kinds) is common. Work past any shame you might feel. Be honest and don't be a dick.

I just assumed that OP didn’t wear a condom, because I’m in the medical field and that’s usually a pretty safe assumption for people who get STDs. Can you get HSV even if you wear a confirm? Absolutely. Did most people who get HSV actually wear condoms? Fuck no.

HSV does not cross the placenta, so mothers will not give it to children that way.

It can totally be passed from mother to child but that virtually always happens if mom has an outbreak while giving birth and the baby touches the sores. If a woman in labor has an outbreak, you actually need to do a c-section to prevent transmission to the baby.

That sounds like a dumb fucking idea dude. I found a study about Aloe inhibiting viral replication in a Petri dish, but nothing supporting your claim that it reduces transmissibility - that’s a big claim. At best, aloe probably reduces transmission about as reliably as the calendar method prevents pregnancy.
