His, Secret of Mana, and Chrono Trigger are my holy trinity.

Pic related is my single favorite game I've ever played. Begged my mom back in '98 to pay extra for the prerelease of the original, and I've been hooked since. I couldn't begin to imagine how many hours I've sunk into it

This. Everything about that game IS my fucking soul.

No game truly deserves a 10/10, but I'd consider Deus Ex with the revamped stages from the Revision mod and the modernized AI/mechanics from the GMDX mod the closest thing to a 10/10.

Don't care how bad the fanbase is, this was a unforgettable experience when it came out

Attached: Undertale.jpg (1280x720, 111K)

OP here. 10/10 doesn't mean perfect, it means a game you love that doesn't have any serious issues that would prevent you from replaying it

Resident Evil 4

Devil May Cry 5

New games can also be perfect.

Still my favorite Far Cry

only thing I didn't like were the controls. it may have been a little too ambitious for the time, but that was Rare's MO at the time. I think if it were remade it could be 10/10

JACK CARVER

Not many know this game, but I loved it growing up.

pure nostalgia for me. also a ton of fun to play with killer soundtrack

I don't have a game I consider 10/10. I have a few 9/10, but every game has its flaws to always stick out to me.

REmake 2 has been amazing tbh.

RIP Geno's career as a character. And Mallow. And every other Square Enix character in that game.

masterpiece

Crono Trigger
Breath of fire 1,2 & 3
Baulders Gate 1 & 2
Binding of Issac
Mario RPG

The list could go on

Almost agree, it's sadly too easy after few hours

So I grew up around the time Doom was out and I actually had a copy but never got around to playing it. Installed it last year, played through the whole thing. Goddamn that's one hell of a shooter. I would've thought it wouldn't age too well but it's a definite 10/10

I think a lot of people either don't know, or have forgotten how good this was. I actually like this console port better than the pc version

Overrated turd. There were so many better RTS games out there like Total Annihilation. Fite me

half-life (all of them)

Xenogears.

Stand tall and shake the heavens, fams.

Fucking hate that game for one reason. It was a long time ago and i cant remember details but:
I loved it so much, and i got so far, but I got into one of those rpg predicaments where I saved at a point before a boss where there was no chance to go back and grind and I wasnt good enough for the boss. I rage quit.
Honestly probably could have gotten through by the grace of rn Jesus if I kept trying but that shit was too frustrating.

Fuck yes

I started playing that, but for some reason didn't stick with it. Normally like Rockstar games, but I think I was balls deep in GTAV when I tried it. Def gonna go back for it though, I hear it's awesome.

tfw I was born in 96 and barely enjoyed the best era of gaming

Slay the Spire IMO. With Mods, easily one of my fav rougelikes

TIE FIGHTER

Seconding this, no game comes to the magical feeling of going on a grand adventure that Wind Waker does. The graphical leap from MM to WW was mindblowing at the time

No game is 10/10

This thread is literally just a "What's your favorite game thread" don't be such a pretenious douche & post a game

Borderlands 2

TIE FIGHTER for PC.

Single player or with Co-Op?

you should broaden your horizons

I could do both but I prefer co op

How has nobody mentioned KOTOR yet? Easily the best Star Wars game

Attached: Star Wars KOTOR II.jpg (702x998, 152K)

How the fuck did you avoid playing Doom for that long????????? And agreed, shit holds up, as evidenced by the fact that people still mod it today.

Attached: 1535839188410.png (508x418, 241K)

the HD remake is almost perfect. any time I'm in a bad mood I just pop that fucker in and it goes away. such a positive game. too bad it's on WiiU which mostly sucks ass..they really need to port it to switch

that's b/c you're a faggot

Doom 2016. Play on ultra violence.

god damn, i forgot about it. It's a shame they never released a third. If only the sequel wasn't rushed out. The restoration mod helps quite a bit though

Red Dead Redemption, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Gran Turismo, Super Metroid, Duke Nukem 3D, Street Fighter 2, Chrono Trigger

it was just so much better than every other game

Attached: header.jpg (460x215, 46K)

Jedi outcast and Jedi academy are also pretty good fren

Don't care what anybody says I will defend this game to the moon and back

The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask
Final Fantasy 9

Probably also:
Final Fantasy 9
Doom 2016
Minecraft
Dark Souls

Portal.
I never understood the hype until I played them.

All of these are based aside from Duke 3D

It's my favorite game ever.

Attached: ps2_ace_combat_4-110214.jpg (640x916, 99K)

Sonic 3 & Knuckles with drop dash.

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 163K)

I fucking loved this game so much that I think I overplayed it. It's still great and all, but when you know it inside and out, you just have to move on at some point. I traded a kid Mario Paint for it in 94, and I 100% got the better end of the deal. Used to get home from school and play it while listening to Soundgarden's Superunknown a lot. Some of the songs on that album go really great with the dungeons.

Fucking love that game! I still have the copy my dad got me for NES. What a kooky, crazy ride.

>11 when red dead redemption came out

This is me coming to terms with my age but that blows me TF away. When I was 11 it was ocarina of Time or bust. Not to mention GoldenEye sleepovers.
Did you guys still do that couch multiplayer hang stuff or was it all online for you? Actual question.

Oh wow a non porn thread! My favorite

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 76K)

You, me, and no one else
It was a hard ride. But yeah, that was art. Did a lot more for me than undertale.

You're retarded. It's good but there's plenty better. You've probably only played KOTOR and those shitty force unleashed games.

Tie Fighter was great, I was 13 when I played it and it was new. I had to use a boot disc to launch it from DOS. Also installed from 5x 3.5 floppies(Before i got the collectors cd rom which didn't come out for a few more years about)

But the Best SW game is SWG, its just not a 10 because of the combat system within the game.

Attached: SWG_Tatooine_MosEisley-1080x608.jpg (1080x608, 165K)

In the mid 2000s me & my friends would always play Call of Duty, Halo & Star Wars Battlefront 2. My friends sisters also used to invite me over to play Co-Op Borderlands 2. I miss couch multiplayer

Warcraft 3

Red Alert 2

I've noticed most of Yea Forums has a general consensus of not liking the smash series, but I'm genuinely enjoying this game. Despite half the players spamming projectiles and winning because of a terrible online service, I still enjoy the game for its merits.

Attached: download.jpg (225x225, 24K)

And when I was 11, the first Doom just came out.

I'm ancient.

Age of Empires 2

X-Wing was better.

Can't remember for sure if it was that entry in the series, think it was. Wasn't sure if I was going to be into it, but it's a pretty solid game. Should go back and finish it.

It's not gone, but your friends have girlfriends/wives/children now. You can still convince them to come play with you again.

The game of the year edition with all the expacs for 360 or PS3 is really cheap, it's great. Too bad DA2 shit the bed so badly.

Fuck no! What was better about it? Tie Fighter was a new concept to fight for the bad guy. And way harder.

Final Fantasy Tactics
Legend of Zelda OOC
Oblivion
Fallout New Vegas
Borderlands 2

Upkeep killed that game. Everything else was perfect. Name another game with 4 somewhat balanced but unique playable races.

smash is the only fighter worth a damn

The only drawback being TIE Fighters are boring as shit to fly.

I want to agree with you on F:NV but holy fuck was the game buggy.

Super Mario Bros 3, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Lufia 2, Final Fantasy VI, Silent Hill 2, Dark Souls and NieR Automata

Think I've still got it on Xbone. Just have way too huge of a backlog going. There are in fact, too many games.

All of my friends are in college now, my 2016 HS graduation feels like a lifetime ago

Never played 3 myself, but was way into 2 back in the day. Think I'd be into it?

Attached: 1539043393992.png (280x320, 90K)

All good games
For me it's Jade Empire, but i agree we need to have a movie, video game & anime thread on this board every week. It would be a nice change of pace from the porn threads

Still have it installed, as I'm sure you do :)

Based, best strategy game for me

I own two Xbone games. I've only ever played one, Destiny, for about 4 hours. I the console is just my VCR. Everything else I play on PC. What exclusives deserve my shekels?

and more indepth, and had 640 graphics rather than the shitty 320.

Voice programming and midi was much better, and much more frequent.

Also : MORE STAR DESTROYERS.

Attached: no fucks given.webm (750x320, 639K)

Lol true, but the quantity and quality of content is enough for me to overlook most of those problems.
I forgot half-life and HL2. Cool, fast-pace, cinematic experiences, both of them.

nice bait

Oof, feeling this disconnected at 21. I spent my college years playing tons of coop with friends, Earth Defense Force on 360 or Gundam Dynasty Warriors II. Even spending the entire night playing Fallout 3 while my friend played on his 360 chatting on XB live discussing where we were and pretending we were in the same game, rough to think of now.

Halo Combat Evolved, it was the first game I ever beat and I got to experience split screen with my brother. Its in my top 5 for sure

The modders have BTFO the original level designers for Doom though. The amount of effort some of these modders put in is tremendous.

There's a 3 remastered, no?

I started with 2. I still remember reading the lore in the manual in my living room in 1996. What an unbelievable wonder that was. 3 is way different than 2 and really alters the feel of the series but without it we wouldn't even have the Blizzard we have today.

yeah and Red Alert 2 and Age of Empires 2

Attached: D89YEfMXkAAnSTu.jpg (188x268, 8K)

10/10 for the atmosphere alone. can't wait for prime 4 when it eventually comes out in like 10 years

Attached: 51EPQ9V9XGL._SY445_.jpg (320x445, 32K)

I'd say Forza Horizon 4 if you like drivan games at all.

True, its definitely better than the dumpster fire that 76 is lol.

Damn that brings back memories. My favorite jrpg of all time (just cause of nostalgia)

Warioland for gameboy
Goldeneye
Mariocart 64
Warcraft II
Red Alert
Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun
Mechwarrior 4
Aces High
Red Faction
Tie Fighter
Sim City
Sim City 2000
Sim City 3000
Half Life
Duke Nukem
Sim Tower

I miss being young and not a 34 year old boomer :(

Attached: old.jpg (750x659, 49K)

Oh, I'll fite you, mother fucker. It wasn't just the gameplay with StarCraft, the story is what made me fall in love with it. Jimmy Raynor is a fucking badass

Attached: Jimbo.jpg (763x626, 492K)

you're saying the sequel had inferior graphics and sound? Less engaging story taking place during Hoth? Less SD?

Late on the bandwagon, but playing FF14 with my friends in our Dorm has been fun as fuck.

Attached: Final Fantasy XIV.jpg (900x1270, 278K)

Played a little bit of Red Alert at a friends back in the day, great game, and AoE2 is fucking classic for sure.

First game I played when I got my Gamecube, finished it probably 100 times. At least they finally announced 4 and are giving it to Retro again.

Very good but controls sucks. That would be definitely better with a keyboard/mouse

we got a clown take here

For me Halo 2 is the bigger classic. It just took everything in 1 and made it better. All except the story being so heavily cut.

The trilogy on the Wii isn't as bad control-wise.

Final Fantasy X, best game in the series by far

Absolutely this! Fuck Yeah! 650 cars, tons of tracks! Has my Porsche 987 S!

I played it years ago on Wii and even though I generally hate motion controls (especially with first person games), they knocked it out of the park. It feels so badass to aim the arm cannon

Attached: B60401B2-00A7-40A4-9D17-94E169B6672B.jpg (316x445, 28K)

holy shit Aces High, lol. Remember the one by Janes? WWII Fighters? Remember when there was a huge amount of WW2 fighter games around 2000?

Remember Battlezone for PC?

Halo 2 was a good sequel, introduction of brutes, multiplayer was god tier. Less we not forget the last man on Xbox live who left his original Xbox on for 2 months straight being the last man standing

Top 3 most fun for me are:
Diablo 2 and expansion
Left 4 dead series
Pokemon

Forge world in this game is fucking nuts

Mega Man 1, 2, and 3

this game is amazing and had a big influence on me

Attached: MarioPaint.jpg (500x393, 402K)

It's a great game one of my all time favorites, but if you really dive deep into some of the more obscure classes then you will start to see that there are a lot of balance issues with some classes and more than a few bugs.

Are the 90s unironically the greatest time period in world history? It's like everything in society was perfect. Like people forget how amazing America was before 9/11 & Colombine

By far the best Mario game. I don't know why they never made another one like it. Everyone since has been more or less back to the old side scrolling style instead of a pure 3d world.

Agreed. It's definitely not gone. I'm not much of a PC gamer but there's a wealth of couch multiplayer on there.
Also there's a game called crawl I play with my childhood Bros still. Couch multiplayer only. Gather the boys and girls for that one, it's super good.

Advance Wars for GBA

Custom games, inviting every recent player and they all knew that shit was gonna be poppin'. Full lobbies of duck hunt, Jenga, trash compactor. God the nostalgia is overwhelming. It almost bring tears

It's ok, same boat as you, hardly get to play games anymore because I have a kid. We'll make it, find a time to commit to your old games each week and you'll feel better. I bought Megaman Legends again and just started playing through

the music sucked.

>2016 hs grad
Jesus man, I graduated in 2005.
Not to scare ya but it seems as long ago now as it did when I was 20.
Life keeps getting faster and faster. The last 5 years of my life since I met my wife are a blink.

>34, boomer
You're a fucking millennial bro

I think if you were a kid in the 90's, without a doubt. Before the internet exploded everywhere, and shit was just a lot more laid back in general.

Skyrim

I think that pound for pound GTA5 is the best game ever made.

X wing VS Tie fighter

Can't argue with you there

Sorry about your gay hair metal dying.

I think that if Hideo Kojima had been allowed to complete the game the way he wanted to instead of being fucked over by Konami then Metal Gear Solid 5 would have been the best game of all time.

Grandia.
Chrono Cross.
Secret of Mana.
Guardian Legend.
Raditia Stories.

Same. The fan-base was just ass-blasted that it wasn't a direct sequel.

I still rmember how blown away I was by this game. They came out with a great remaster a few years back, highly recommend if you like sci-fi

Attached: homeworld.jpg (205x246, 9K)

>Life keeps getting faster and faster.
This. I'm fucking 35, and still feel like I just got out of high school sometimes.

+1 Good stuff!

I played this so much as a teen that I could get 100% in 2 and a half hours.

I'm 21 and I still have dreams that I'm at the elementary school lunch table eating corndogs

>first *real* 3D game made
So many fond memories

I'm 32 and it always reminds me of the pink floyd line:
>and then one day you find
>ten years have gone behind you
>no one told you when to run
>you missed the starting gun

Still my favorite final fantasy. I bought a SNES classic specifically so I could play this on the big screen. I actually still have my copy of the original SNES Final Fantasy 3 cartridge.

On the wii controls was ok but with the third game, hidden loading time (when opening door) was very long. That was very, very annoying, especially when you're searching what to do.

It didn't have a story. It was considered utter crap and needed an expansion to help it out but I remember how shit it was. It was a cool concept aimed at multiplayer though.

Nope.

I was a kid in the 90s (87 baby) and an adult before social media was huge, and before smart phones were common.
I know every generation is like "kids these days" and all, but something definitely went very wrong at that point. This shit is so fucking addictive and breaks intepersonal social connection so much, and people just changed. I changed.
The 90s was the Pinnacle of technology before social media and mass internet take over, and I feel it was just an amazing time without the vanity and isolation that came next.

Hatted it, got bored and quit about halfway through. The redhead was hot though.

Gamestop still carries this. You have to call and ask for it though.

Fuck yes, best franchise ever. Cataclysm is still one of my fav horror games- controlling the ships from your 1000ft view above the battle, listening to the pilots scream as they were assimilated, then watching the fighters flip over and fly back towards you with murderous intent.

Ska sucked. Grunge sucked, rap quality sucked, and for fucks sake, big band music

Read "Masters of Doom" if you want an amazing view into pre-corporate internet era, when it really was just all passion

cheesy af but in a good way. one of the best RTSs ever

Attached: 220px-Cncra2-win-cover.jpg (220x313, 26K)

At least top 3 of the decade.

Tony Hawks Proskater series??

Get the nude mods and you will like it even more.

If there's ever a time machine, I'm going to the 90s forever.

I'm still playing to it (on emulator, when pooping), I almost learned 100% of all capacities of all jobs with every races and I still haven't seen any bug or difficulty, can you be more specific?

Far Cry 3 is still one of my faves.

Sorry you were a complete loser.

Why 3 over every other Command and Conquer?

I've heard of that book, never read it. I'll give it a go, thanks dude.

I probably would have liked it a lot more but I didn't play the series at all until about 5 years after 3 came out. Great game but kind of a shitty shooter compared to other shooters I had been playing for years.

>rap quality sucked
are you high?

I still play it to this day. My only complaint is how short it is. I can get through the entire game in about 20 hours now a days. When I was a kid it used to take my damn near 70.

How has nobody mentioned legend of dragoon? By far my favorite.

Ill say otherwise on the controls and story

Gonna have to pose this very same question..

Elly is still my Waifu. I just wish the second disk was more fleshed out. I think the game was getting too long and they were running out of money.

Conker's Bad Fur Day was fucking incredible. Easily my favorite N64 game

Good luck googling nudes of her.

90s music was bleak and depressing and angry. Woodstock 1999 was a shit show. Gen X grew up in broken homes with family values replaced by corporate consumerism in the 80's. I lived through it.

this

Same for me. I hate that I can't enjoy it anymore but I can literally play this with my eyes closed.

Cuphead and BFBB

which franchise?

This one

I am in complete agreement. First game I thought of.

stfu

Conkers was awesome, I don't know if it was 10/10 though.

He is a zoomer, so yes

1990-1992 is my favorite time of the 90's. Bright neon colors.

Have you messed round with the randomizer for it? Actually breathes a bit of new life into it for me once in a while. Hard to believe there still aren't any really solidly good romhacks of it.

my beloved Team Fortress 2

At the time the controls were intuitive but they did not stand up to time. It's worse than playing goldeneye after getting used to twin axis controls.
The story wasn't incredible either.
BUT this game despite that fact was amazing, the multiplayer campaign was a sick idea.
Truth is, and I have a feeling you'll agree because no one doesn't, the thing that pissed me TF off about this game.
That first level has that narrative at the beginning with that cool ass robo voice. Why in the fuck did they not include that over every new map? Did they just forget or what?
"Liberate this once peaceful planet from mizar and his evil drones" is burned into my memory.

how has this not been mentioned

idk if it was everywhere, but for some reason biker shorts were cool around that time, and i wore them all the time. also had one of those hats with a flip up brim. shit was colorful

That transition. Still all synths and drum machines but neon bright colours that seemed to say "it's different now. Hold onto your hats"

Because it goes without saying

SM3, Super Mairo World, Mario Sunshine, early Tony Hawk games not the first one but the early ones, Super Metroid, Streets of Rage 2 is a 11/10, Sonic, Contra, there is many more

Too cliché.
Plus I'm gathering a lot of anons here aren't old enough.

By too cliché I really meantNo need to bring it up.

Final Fantasy 6 is better

8 is better than both.

>plebs not old enough
>Chrono trigger and old ass nes games posted everywhere

pick one

SM3 is High

There are bugs that allow you to duplicate items and to get unlimited JP. A couple of class abilities don't work as intended.

Then there are balance issues with classes like samurai. Because Samurai uses magic power to determine draw damage but the samurai has low magic power they suck on their own. But if you make draw out the secondary skill for a magic user like Time Mage then it becomes ridiculously over powered. Pretty much breaks the game.

Then you have some classes that are insanely OP especially if you combine them with the right support abilities, like ninja monk. Or there are other classes that are pretty much worthless because their abilities have such a ridiculously low chance of working like oracle or mediator.

Just overall balance issues that would get probably have been patched if the game was released today.

13 is clearly superior

Hollow Knight

Soul Calibur on Dreamcast was mindblowing to me when it came out. Also played a dickload of Powerstone and NFL2k1. A friend had a Spawn game that had pretty fun multiplayer similar to Powerstone. Too bad the PS2 completely fucking assraped Sega into the grave.

Agreed. 7 gets so much love because at the time it's graphics were so ground breaking and everyone just wanted to stick it to Tifa.

Unreal, Quake 1-3

I loved the original but the addition of the super shotgun and new enemies makes this one my favorite of the two.

Attached: download.jpg (220x221, 15K)

Seconding this, SoulCalibur is essentially a perfect game

Super Metroid and Metroid Prime hands down

It's not even the type of game I normally play but everything from the story to the gameplay. Just the sheer amount of polish and detail is way beyond any other game I can think of.

Yes

Melee is better

You only like Jessica and her puff puff dance. I liked the game. Tried to play again and realized I hated the crafting system. I eventually had a triple metal slime team. Was not easy to get.

The mainstream corporate stuff sucked especially after 96. Listening to it now is so cringe.

Simpsons Hit and Run on Game Cube

I'll try that, thanks user

Love this game's sense of isolation and it's atmosphere. Music is fantastic too.

Good choice

Momodora, UnEpic, Ghost 1.0, great game and masterpiece.

Attached: header.jpg (460x215, 50K)

It's in my top five all time, but I feel like the on foot controls are kind of shitty. Getting stuck on things in the environment, how it makes you run slower even if going downhill on not too steep of an incline. Not game breaking, but there's room for improvement.

git gud newfag

Mario Kart Wii. Nostalgia gold

"a man chooses, a slave obeys, Now OBEY!!",
>would you kindly get the fuck out of my thread now, user?

Yup, perfect game right here. Gotta pull out my RetroPie tomorrow. Haven't played this in a long time

Max Payne, it's underrated as fuck. I wish more people talked about it

Attached: 171056-max-payne-windows-front-cover.png.jpg (800x970, 164K)

Oracle abilities suck but they have high magic and rods. Rods use magic to determine damage. You can make a pretty cool combat, mage hybrid if you give an Oracle blade grasp as a reactionary skill and the samurai's draw out as secondary ability.

Attached: th.jpg (474x933, 75K)

If they had implented Bioshock 2's weapon system allowing you to use plasmids with left and guns on the right this easily would have been 10/10.

this is the true best game of all time

Attached: mr. masterpiece.png (375x210, 64K)

I don't know if you play on console or PC but I play on PC and I noticed when I played the game with my old PC that controls, especially driving, kind of sucked. When I upgraded my PC to a high end rig now it feels very smooth. Helicopters still suck balls though.

How does Infinite compare to the original and 2?

Attached: 347754.jpg (646x284, 45K)

Max Payne is great, II was better. III let me down in ways I couldn't describe. Mainly because the gritty noir became a sunny flavela with a story not connected at all to Valkyr or the original.

It's funny how a game called Perfect Dark actually ended up being perfect. I fucking wish Nintendo would buy Rare, especially since Banjo is in Smash

Attached: image.jpg (639x361, 24K)

Loved the second one back in the day, still never played the first one.

great story, gameplay doesn't live up to the hype tho

To me Halo 2 was second best for both campaign and multiplayer for the series. CE had my favorite campaign, 3 my favorite multiplayer. CE's campaign is so nostalgic for me. Probably the most for any FPS game. Even more than Doom since I didn't get into PC Doom until later.

no matter how you try and recreate it, its never as good as it was on that crappy nokia

If you are a fan of FFT, try out Fell Seal Arbiter's Mark.

>looks like your going to have a bad time, nigger...

It's a Mixed bag, the storytelling & characters are incredible. But the pacing is severely lacking, it just feels rushed & unfinished somehow, by the end of the game it feels as though nothing signifigant actually happened

It's not Bioshock, best way I can explain. It would have beem better as it's own game. The setting is not sci fi horror and does not convey isolation or fear of catastrophic systems collapse like Rapture did.

personally thought the only good thing to come out of it was Elizabeth's model

Not gonna disagree with you. Maximum comfy the likes of which I had never seen.

Attached: comfy guy.jpg (357x345, 56K)

they still advertised things that weren't possible with PS3 at the time, not that it matters tho, 8/10 for story

Toby Fox promised Earthbound and delivered a demo in length. Maybe if the ideas were fleshed out more if it took longer than 2 hours to complete.

Used to love Pokemon games back in the day. One thing I have seen about this game that I hate is that you don't have to battle pokemon to catch them. You just throw the fucking ball like you do in that shitty mobile game.

Galaxy was a great game. I wasn't a fan of Sunshine tho.

life is strange

Attached: image.jpg (500x334, 49K)

Agreed

what about the walking dead season 1 telltale?

You're new boot goofin now

An amazing game to be sure, however, I miss the major dungeons the older games had, such as Twilight Princess.

They streamlined the game so they could perfect the core fundamentals of Zelda, the sequel is going to re-add traditional dungeons, music & story to BOTW

What did you like about the story? I thought the setting was unique, despite not feeling Bioshock, but the story felt so simple compared to 1 and even 2.

Might be wrong about this but I remember hearing the developers werent entirely sure what they wanted it to be and thats why it kept the name but felt so removed from the other two.

I hear that, but I think the series needed a break from the OoT/LttP formula a bit.

I'm going to begin jizzing as soon as it's released, and continue launching ropes until I've beaten it.

I know I'm excited as shit for it.
That's fair I suppose, eventually anything can get tired.

The world building & characters were fantastic, also it was told extremely well despite the overall story being confusing i was hooked from start to finish

Underrated post

Wonder if they set Zelda in a future dystopian setting like samurai jack?

Hours and hours spent playing this on zone

They half assed tried to connect it with DLC and lighthouse gimic but it felt wrong in every sense. It should have been a different title like Amnesia is to SOMA even though they share game mechanics and are both horror related.

Obviously it isn't out yet, but if it anything like what it looks like from E3 and the trailers, then it's going to be one of the greatest games of our generation.

my fav main menu song

Strange, it was the complete opposite feeling for me. I didnt expect it to be as good of a story as the original, but I was surprised that the only character I liked was the slave driver I was supposed to hate, only because he had a personality beyond "I hate whites" or "I want to leave the city"

right on, brother!
Rip and tear, until it is done!

fuuuuuuuck, that ending made me cry like a little girl
