Authorities who watched the video said he was flying his paramotor and the parachute "malfunctioned" which caused him to spontaneously drop out of the sky like a rock. It all happened within a span of a few seconds.

That's so odd, paramotors are supposed to be really safe. I watched a bunch of paramotor videos just last year, I'd still like to fly one if I had the spare $10k it costs for one.

Cody seemed more focused on conveying information rather than making money. I think Grant saw this in Cody and respected him for it. Grant was a business man which is Cody's weak point, I think that's why they were ultimately friends.
