I did a CT scan of the face and some spots appeared as shown in this image and the next, can anyone help me understand what this is? The report comes out only in 48 hours.

Looks like aids

Looks like you're gay. Sorry.

An anomaly in the brain is more than likely a tumor.

Whether it's benign or malignant, wait 48 hours to find out.

My condolences homie.

so ur saying... u got a CT scan... and there was no doctor to interpret the fucking results for u? Werent u told to do the scan and bring the result to a doctor, or did u took a CT scan pick for fun, like an e-thot to post on an instagram?

You've hit your third trimester.

No, the tomography was to evaluate the sinuses for a deviated septum surgery.
But these images scared me and the report comes out in 48 hours.
Anyway, as soon as I get the report I'll go to the neurologist.

>its nothing
>im going to the neurologist
k
w8 for the results from real medical doctor, not retards from b

Human beings are full of flaws. Part of my brain is actually missing, I have a hole where brain should be. Never noticed it and was a straight A student.
It could be a cyst or just an anomalous structure.

I like to think that not everyone here are retarded.

You might not have 48 hours left user.
Post your reaction folder and we will carry on your legacy

Calcified Pineal Gland

Major implications, look it up

show us your degree

Well, my 63 year old dad had a silent stroke at one point, don't know when. But the scan sure looked a hell of a lot like that, similar size and positioned splotch.

After that sentence, I don't share your confidence..

oh, weaving, not wearing

Whatever it is isn't gonna kill you in 48 hours.

Lol I have this as well, arachnoid cyst. It's like bigger than a golf ball. It's probably why I post of Yea Forums

Multiple sclerosis.

>Calcified
I mean, yeah. It's a CT scan. For something to show up on x-ray it needs to have density difference. That's pretty high contrast.

theres this story
>new EEG machine, finished setup
>okay installation guys, before you go we want to test this
>one of the doctor plugged in, machine on
>left side comes out blank.
>hmm, weird.
>switched electrode sides, right side comes out blank.
>wat.jp2
>do MRT scan, left side of brain is.. missing
>there should be two brain halves, only one present
>EEG machine was fine, there simply was not much there to measure for left side
>he/she did not know and continued do excellent work as a doctor

by the way, this is also you answer. CT/MRT scans ALWAYS show something unusual
but that just means we have gotten better machines and the resolution finally reveals anything more than pixelated bullshit. which is a blessing if there is anything bad and you need to know where to open the head to go take a look.
but many of the things that you CAN see now are either nothing to worry about or nothing that you could do anything about if it was a sign of something bad (so, effectively nothing to worry about, too)

It usually takes a day or two for a routinely ordered and scheduled CT to be read and transcribed. Plus, sometimes people know what's coming and don't really push for results cuz if they hear someone tell them it makes it real

Go do some homework kid

A sinus ct for deviated septum surgery isn't a contrast enhanced study. It looks like artifact tbh and with the shit quality picture or the program to move measure and zoom it's really hard to specify

its not unusual for the patient to get a copy, in case he wants to consult another doctor. many people do want that, especially if offered a choice between risky/uncomfortable therapy options.

of course, depending on what in the image and how many emergency patients needed their imagery judged asap, it will take some time to have all the relevant specialists look at it.

Usually a facility will directly request that shit because the patient can't always be trusted to bring the right shit in or make redactions/adjustments etc for drug seeking or just frivolous lawsuits. Also, the radiologist will put in his report and unless there is a critical result the referring provider is the one who will inform the patient of any results. This is the way I've seen it go working in a radiology department for the last ten years, it may work differently in other places but usually a hospital will do what it can to cover it's own ass as the first responsibility is to make it's stockholdes a profit
