anyway been in the UK for like 2 years, have a gf now. former best friend still drunk dials me sometimes to whine about her bf's and beg me to visit, and i get a lot of satisfaction cutting her off after 20 minutes to get on with my own life. trying not to resent her for all the years i wasted pining after her, because i know it was my own fucking fault.
