LA is bad if you go to the ghettos or skidrow. Avoid those and you’re good to go. Avoid touristy areas and you’ll be safe from beggars. There are plenty of great restaurants and live venues to go see live performances if that catches your fancy. There are beautiful places to hike, especially the coasts or mountains and hills if you want to see the skyline at night. There are theme parks in the So Cal area if you like that. You can catch you a show at the medieval times in Burma Park. You can go golfing in Ranchos Palos Verdes. There are some great museums and gardens in so cal. Honestly there is a lot to do in LA and the So Cal area so long as you aren’t poor.

If you do move there and somehow maintain some core values and are kind and stuff, expect to get stomped into the sidewalk cracks, but some will really appreciate you, sometimes powerful and you can get opportunities without blowing peeps in the alleyway.
