Now it’s just 95% porn and Instagram photos. I’m not asking what happen to muh b??!?! But I’m curious, where did all the old fags end up?

Bots were usually easy to ignore, so they don’t bother me as much. I’ve gotten in such a habit of checking Yea Forums over the last ten years, I still do it, but almost every time there’s nothing worth while to check out so I just bail. Maybe I should just stop coming. I actually had my hopes up for that yellow anti-porn movement but the irony is they all got banned by mods. And the make up of the internet at large has changed. It used to be a hang out for weirdos and geeks. So Yea Forums was the weirdest and geekiest and most creative. But now every normie is online. So Yea Forums just became a place to be edgy in a very vanilla way.

Honestly? A lot of us are probably still here, lurking under the radar every now and then. For some of us, autism never changes.

But shit, man, life happens too, and that can't be avoided. We're all much older now; many of us have got obligations, responsibilities, and some of us eventually even found a life outside the chans, believe it or not. The place is only ever going to become more unrecognizable as time goes on--in 5 years or so, if this place is even still up and running, I'm willing to bet you won't even be able to converse with another oldfag on most any board because next gen will've completely swamped the place. At least at this point in time, any time someone makes one of these soft nostalgia threads you still get a good handful of people who at least /claim/ to be from Ye Olden Days.

This never fucking occurred to me but it makes allot of sense, im probably abit younger than you but as a kid all i only had magazines and a few prized .avi files that i painstakingly secretly downloaded. I always figured having access to a constant flood of porn wouldn't be good for peoples sexuality and well being and you probably just summed up a big contributing factor to some of the phenomenon we see on Yea Forums.

Definitetly the porn thing. I'm 57 and grew up on Playboy and Mayfair, didn't see a porn film till I was in my 20's. Occasional soft 'love scene' on the TV after the watershed. In the 70's we had bad attitudes to women and 'men were men' but I worry for kids these days with what they are seeing, it's so totally removed from reality. Desensitises and warps expectations.
