Harry Potter books are fun children’s books esp. the first couple people talk about them becuase they were very popular and fun to read and really kicked off the young adult fiction wave of twilight and shit not bad books but nothing that great

Honestly, it's probably the closest I get to being a normie. Growing up I loved the books and the first three movies were foundational, while the other movies just kinda sucked. I ended up listening to the audiobooks again while playing WoW through high school and it was really fun.

That being said, I find the fan base unbearable, I find it akin to people who grew up with Star Wars and can't grow up or get past it. Good for them for enjoying it so much, but there has to be a point where you move on with your life.

If you're past like 15 and haven't read it, you probably won't enjoy it in all honesty. But growing up along side the books was pretty neat.
