Gambling stories, let's hear about Yea Forumss biggest wins and worst loses. Personally just got back from the casino, won 13 bucks. Would have like to won more but I was just happy to break even after going down 85 real quick... But the guy who drove wanted to get out of there before he lost any more

did time because i couldn't pay back casino
i got raped

The casino let you run a tab?

Put 2-300 down one night. Left with $2900 after they shut the table down. Had security watching me for a while. I wasn’t cheating or anything. Just gettin hella lucky. Played blackjack

Last week was playing roulette for about an hour. I’ve never put money on 0 before, I thought to myself “Hmm there hasn’t been 0 since I been here” so I just put $10 on it and it came up and I won $350.. everyone at the table was just like what the fuck was that haha.

That's awesome. I was American roullette wasn't gay and didnt have the double zero

Blackjack for idiots:
1. Bet 10% of your kitty. Double when you win. 2. Keep that much in until you lose three hands and then go back to your original hand.
3. Focus on your cards.
4. You can always hit safely if you have an 11 or lower.
5. Hit until you get at least 17 and then hold.
If dealer has 4 or 6 hold when you have 13 or more. (You'll probably lose anyway.)
6. If dealer has low cards (2s or 3s), you're usually fucked.
7. When you earn back your original buy-in, pocket that and keep it there until you go home.
8. Fuck insurance.
9. Double downing too.
Not a perfect strategy. You will lose. But less than just reacting emotionally. I have never lost more than my initial buy-in and have won as much as $20k with a $200 stake.

You seem to have some experience. What are your thoughts on counting cards? Is there really even any value now that tables run like 6-8 decks?

You can do it at some tables, honestly it doesn’t help a ton because a lot of table have the automatic shuffler that is shuffling at all times including hands just lost, so pretty much a lost cause unless they are playing from a shoe

For me anyway, counting cards is pretty impossible. I think it works in theory but I'm not that good under pressure. My vague "system" gives me an edge probably only slightly better than an emotional, irrational rube. But I stick to it. Start practicing on a computer. I also avoid playing at a real table with other players. It's distracting and the players tend to be assholes when they see you win. My first time at a real table, I choked and forgot all my rules. Dealers can be either great or asshole too. It's much tougher in a real casino but it's fun if you stick to your initial outlay and don't fall prey to the "my luck is gonna change" fallacy.

I lived in Vegas for a year while working on a construction project there and would hit up the casinos sometimes after work. My biggest wins at slot machines were about 3500 and about 6000. At the tables my biggest lucky win was at a craps table when the dealers were teaching me how to play on a slow night. Walked away that night with about 7500 after trying some long shot bets out. Biggest lesson is that the dealers actually like to see you win if you are nice to them.

Yeah some dealers (the smart ones) are nice to you. A good dealer knows they are getting paid hourly and not losing their own money, so if they have a good attitude people will tip them

The consensus among people smarter than me is that Baccarat is the most profitable game but fuck if I can make heads or tails out of it. Ask James Bond. :)

Yeah, going with this, if you are going on with a strategy it sucks being at a live table because usually there will be a dickhead there telling you how you are doing everything wrong even though his pile of chips is dwindling and you are actually making money. Once a guy tried to tell me not to double down on an 11, so don’t always listen to other players

>took $100 to a casino first time gambling
>told myself I'd stop once I lost it
>lose $40 in 10 minutes on a $5 blackjack table
>fuck off to the dollar slots
>hit jackpot bringing me to +$150
>cash out on the machine to look for frieends to see if they're done
>can't find them
>put my credit back into the machine and lose everything plus the original $100 I came in with in 10 minutes

First and last time. Fuck gambling.

Blackjack is the only game in the casino where skill can tip the odds in your favor (if you can count cards). I don't know anyone who plays baccarat or if it's even played in casinos anymore. Sounds kinda like Faro - no one plays Faro anymore and it used to be in every tavern and casino in the US.

Yeah, that's a new rule I never thought of: only double down when you have 11. Good point.

When I gamble, I take $100 to the 3-card poker table and bet $10/hand until I either lose it all or double it.

Played GTA earlier, never been to a real casino. Threw 50,000 down on blackjack and got dealt two 2's. I took a split, then doubled down on both hands. Dealer went bust and I took 400,000. If only that was real life. Which worries me, really.

My local place has bacarat and my one friend fucking loves it. He says part of the charm is watching the gooks go up and down by thousands of dollars in a span of 20 minutes

you people are all idiots lol, strategy this, dont do this, play that. its all bullshit, only take and play what you can afford to lose because no matter what you do at some point the casino will get it

and 3 card has the absolute worst possible odds of pretty much any table game

I like it because there are lots of 6:1 7:1 potential wins. Blackjack is so boring... gotta be a grind money to play that.

small time gambler here
>constantly get comped rooms at the casino i play at
>go and throw 400 on craps and play my dick dry
>made my 400 into 9k
>get a call the next morning asking if i wanted to stay another night in the presidential suite
>why the fuck not.
>suite is massive and beautiful and they "upgraded" my players card to the step below owners club from advantage
>take 1k to the same craps table, the dealers are stoked to see me because i tipped them very well
>fast forward to 330am
>dealers are sick of me throwing and winning and call the pit boss to have me leave the table for the night, also i was trashed at this point.
>made 19k in less than two days CASH.
>still get comped rooms but much more humble now, mostly use the rooms to go to the mountains with girls or for special occasions.

7:1? what the hell pays 7:1 on 3 card, its still the worst odds in the casino. its a bit better if you don't play the bonuses at all but im guessing you do

lies

Ameristar casino in blackhawk colorado.
that was and will be my best streak. have friends that will validate it, however (pic related) second table is where i was rolling and doing very good. they even switched die one me, it really dosent matter its all about the "sucker" bets. Field, bonus, and C&E bets. those will always be money makers. House wants you to belive they are sucker bets.

Attached: ameristar-backhawk-tablegames.jpg (1800x675, 1.52M)

straights pay 7:1

i only play pair plus. the ante bet is boring.

so your go to move to make money on craps are the prop bets?!

damn every casino ive ever been to a flush is 3 or 4 to one and a straight 6-1

the table i would rake in the cash on yes, have i followed that same type of betting absolutely not. but the bonus bets, fuck yea! All small, all tall and make e'm all, you get a good thrower and youll make fucking money man, "make em all" pays 235:1 at the casino i play at. hence how i walked with well over 10k. Prop bets can make you money in the right situation and ill only bet on prop bets (besides field) when im throwing.

Storytime

i have nothing

Are you retarded? I mean obviously only take what you can lose, but not using a strategy is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. The house already has an edge, but not playing smart makes their edge even bigger. Atleast try to win

every strategy you come up with is pointless, ive seen hundreds throughout the years on every game and laugh at each one of them

i have the best strategy though. been over 25 years and havnt lost once after spending 4-7 days in a casino every week.

>be me 17
>playing the pokie machine at the pub cause I'm a fucking rebel
>down to my last $5
>big ass lightning bolt strikes somewhere nearby
>power goes out
>time to head home I guess
>nek minute powers back on
>pokie machine powers back on and I'm up $400
>fuck yeah.jpg
>call attendant over, cash out, go home
I made $350 That day. I'm not sure if I got lucky on my last big spin just as the power went out or the outage fucked with the machine somehow??

This is the typical casino experience, don't let the other stories fool you

>t. someone who has worked in a Canadian casino for a while

I bought 15 shares of AMZN at about $450 each

Casino dealer here AMA

What's the market of pussy for a dealer?
The typical dealer slag?

Anything most dealers are huge degens and would fuck anything or take any drug
Also this is a lie

And it is?

work at one

Lmao I should have seen that coming. I can't imagine you make much there though?

What's a nasty slag story?
You got one?

Can we just have one thread that isn't about slag and pussy?

I've won about $10k+ through blackjack and I've been gambling about 6 years.

Any tips for online gambling? Would I be able to make it rich doing this?

Unless you are really good at poker or have copious amounts of time to research sports bets, probably not

youd be surprised, at least 6 figures the last 10ish years or so

Sure

What's your role then? You must be more than a simple BJ dealer

Was down $2,000 on blackjack, asked for a comped room.
Got a $500/night room.
Called over side hoe.
Went back to casino and made my money and $1,300 back.
Trick was every hour I'd go back and fuck side hoe.

Great strategy...

I was playing a guy named Teddy KGB and I flopped a nut straight at the last minute. I'm feeling lucky enough to head to the poker world series.

nope, just a dealer these days again, was management, but went back to dealing

Found glitch on online blackjack game after losing $150. Found glitch with $10 left made 3K that night. Came back the next day tried to make glitch work again won 1K. Got drunk the next night lost everything. Came back the next day and won 6K. I had auto bet on and double downed on a 3K bet on accident lost it all and I haven’t been back on since.

I thought y'all made like 10 bucks an hour, and maybe matched that in tips if you are one of the nice dealers

Anyone else notice this? Once you hit a "hot streak" in Blackjack is when you end up winning, it's like the dealer wants to bust every hand for a while. Usually it goes up and down. The worst is when you walk to your first table and it's like every hand you see the dealer gets 20, 21 and you get dealt trash cars, lose all double downs.

nope, $12 per hr i think, not really sure, just use paycheck for insurance and 401k, dealers at my place make 350-1500 most days. but there are those shit days where you only make 100 or 200

Straight from google you faggot ass liar:

When you first start out, you may very well make minimum wage; in other casinos, the starting salary might begin at $7 or $8 an hour, rising to $10 or more as you gain experience. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average base pay for a casino dealer is a paltry $14,700 a year

HUUUUUUURRRRR DUUUUUUUUUUR 6 FIGURES! FAGGOT

yea, thats wages.... not tips

Honestly I just seem to have bad luck in general at blackjack. I seem to get bad hands, and then my good hands get outmatched. I honestly win more at roullette than BJ despite having worse odds

You ain't making no goddamn 100k in tips kid

Ever helped a better out? Say it's a slow night and youre dealing BJ to a nice guy... Would you ever check your cards for black jack and then tip him off if say it's not BJ but maybe 19 or 20?

Wtf you replying to me for

It's weird whenever I win is when I'm not much into the game or expecting to. I went in with 50$ one day and walked out with 2$k. It was like the dealer would just repeatedly bust and I'd win whatever I was throwing down almost all the time, major split / double down wins. That's how it works.

you sure about that?.... tax free too, well kinda only have to claim $5 per hr as taxable tips, and thats all sorted out with my paycheck

Dealers at the Wynn and certain go your own places in california do. Why is everyone so clueless. Just trying to help you win how do you think we make that much

>3:30PM
>nobody at craps
>”h-hey dealers, mind giving a 21 year old a tutorial?”
>proceed to get completely fucking lost in understanding how the fuck to play
>geezers start coming around to play
>”don’t bet field, 6’s and 8’s are your friend”
>70 something year old tells me place 3-4-3 on the bonus
>button hits 9
>immediately toss 9
>button hits 4
>I place minimum bet on numbers 4-10 (excluding 7)
>proceed to make somewhere around 40+ rolls without a 7
>geezers losing their shit
>dealer asks how much money did I just win
>”uhhhh like $300?”
>dealer tosses $1100 in chips
>3 geezers toss me $25 each for “having a golden arm”
>walk to roulette
>$100 on red
>it fucking hits red
>tell myself this is fucking ridiculous
>drive home with endorphins and euphoria pouring out of my face

Then I continued to play craps and lost everything that I could’ve even called profits

I shoulda just listened to geezer #2 who told me not to play it again so I’d have a better story to tell.

That's easy, i never gamble money I cant afford to lose. So best win was $20 into $480 playing Two-up and worst I had was a good night out. Btw gambling for a profit is retarded.

> Walking through casino listening to tunes
>Jethro Tull Thick as a Brick
>Walking past Roulette table
>Lyrics "You put your bet on number one and it comes up every time"
>It's an omen
>Drop a $50 on number 1
>Ball rollin'
>It's number fuckin' ONE
>Cool!!!
>Let it ride
>Number ONE again
>Holy Shit!
>I'm done
>Take winnings
>Watch next spin
>Number ONE again
>Shit
>Cash in chips
>Buy GF a nice dinner and $300 bottle of wine.

>Never played Roulette before or since.

Have £10
Buy beers.
Put £2 on 32.
Comes in.
Leave casino up £250

Works great if you find places that do blackjack tournaments. Cuz they will go through most of the shoe. So you can get some very good counts.

Lost 400+ on CS:GO gambling, cases and websites

Just learn poker. Also, I think you can play craps to where its the best odds in the house, other then poker.

Poker - Live with other players (Texas Hold'em etc) is the only game in the casino that the house doesn't give a fuck who wins. It's you vs the other players. No disadvantages baked in and they get their money via the rake for cash games or via buy in fees for tournaments.

Finished in the money today in a 2 day poker tournament and made a cool $1,800 on a $250 buy in.

Not gonna lie. $250 two day tournament and cash out $1800 gotta feel bad. Cuz you know you were close to some big pay jumps. I fucking hate tournaments.

>be me

>realize i don't know how to get chips to play
>realize i don't know how to approach table and join game
>realize i don't know any of this
>have autistic breakdown and leave

The way it went down, I was pissed. But I played it right and I was way ahead in the two back to back hands that busted me. That's how it goes sometimes.

Tournaments take the worst part of poker, variance, and amplifies it.

Live cash. Online tournaments.
